Sorry to interrupt the more important matters but as of this morning whenever I use the right or left arrows to move to a cell, after having put a value in that cell, Excel crashes and brings up the file recovery pane. I'm using Windows 10 and have been for some time. This has only started today and I haven't installed any updates. Any ideas please? It's only when I put a value in a cell, numeric or alphanumeric.

Thanks but that doesn't seem to help. :016:
Last time I came across this issue it was due to the keyboard. The add-ins can also cause this issue. Can you try with another keyboard or give the current one a good clean. If that doesn't work :
- Have you tried opening Excel in safe mode first? You can do this by holding down the windows key + R and typing 'Excel /safe' into the box and hitting return. If the error doesn't appear, your issue relates to the add-ins. Disable them and add them back in one-by-one to find the villain.
- Aside from the above, have you checked the event viewer for some more information.
- Are you using any custom macros?
Windows 10 is sh*te
Thanks Wingnut, I'll try those. (not using any custom macros) Andy S...........well.

worst upgrade I have ever made, got some expensive platform games that just won't load with 10.
I had a lot of updates downloaded recently and for a while key ? came up as " but it cured itself inside 24 hours.
