As with players, I expect the World Cup has a knock on with this. Managers will be sacked, positions will become available and there will be some level of interest in the managers with higher profiles like Slavisa, providing him with a good negotiating position re his improved contract.
Saw Dean Jones say that the club are working to this end, so that is good news. We could easily be Slavisa's longest tenure.

Frustrating as it is the combination of going up a fortnight later than everybody else through the play offs and it being a World Cup year has made the window of opportunity particularly small this year. Enjoy the World Cup and look forward to a mental second half of July!!
In terms of the value lost to FFC if and when SJ leaves any release clause in a new contract should run into figures equalling those of a couple of top players' transfer fees just to keep most other clubs away. He will be extremely hard to replace.  But I guess we have to patient as we are constantly asked to be at these times.
Remember Jocanovic left Watford immediately after taking them up to the Premiership.
We wouldn't let that happen would we.......???
