You knew this was coming!!!
So who is/was our best sweaty sock?(JOCK).Could be Cairney or Macdonald who we have at present or even Macormack who kept us up for two years. We had a great manager who was Scottish called Campbell!
Graham Leggatt
Ray Houghton
Graham Leggat
Graham Leggatt. By a military mile our finest Scottish player and probably in the top half dozen of the greatest Fulham players of all time.
too young for Leggatt, so i'll throw in John Collins
Graham Leggat was my childhood idol from my pre-teen years onwards. I'd seen him play for Aberdeen (a long story which I will not retell here) before he was transferred to Fulham and I just couldn't believe how swift, assured and cultured he was. When he arrived at CC then this kid could not believe his luck. I never remember him being tackled (why would I) but I do remember the many times he would get an old fashioned leather ball move in the air to suddenly and viciously dip. To all those too young to have watched him play in the flesh then I apologise for the way time is. If I had a time machine I'd take you back to those times to watch a guy who is still my all time favourite Fulham player.
Does Tom Cairney count?
Leggat by a country mile

Agree 100%
.....and Bobby Campbell, born in (and played for) Liverpool, represented England as a youth player. Maybe once played golf in Scotland.
Leggat is a legend but I never saw him play. Best Scot in my time has to be John Collins.
Just has to be Leggat, goals galore and such a wonderful attitude.
Sorry but this one Isn't even a debate. Graham Leggat. Simple
BTW it's Leggat not Leggatt.
Has to be Graham Leggat for me - one of my first Fulham heroes, who featured prominently in my Fulham scrapbook, with many signed photos gained after games, alongside Haynes, Cohen, Mullery, Robson, Macedo, et al.
Though usually a winger Graham could play as centre forward, and was a prolific goalscorer, scoring in the FA semi-final against high flying Burnley at Villa Park in 1962, the game ending in a draw, with Fulham loosing the replay.

John Watson?
Super Micky Conroy!
Doug Rouvie, Steve Archibald?
Has to be Leggat. Wish I had seen his second against Ipswich on that long ago Boxing Day as I was still celebrating the first. Then his third all in under 049:gif two minutes

Definitely Leggat. Honorable mention: Peter Marinello
Easily Leggat, only player who was on the same wave length of Number 10, Haynes would work his magic laser a fifty yard ball to the other side of the field, and Mr Leggat would be there waiting for it, one of the all time greats for Fulham
Graham Leggat was absolutely astounding and one of our best ever players.
Kirsty Gallagher
No mention of John Collins? He was class when he arrived. Fantastic passer and key to our success under Tigana.
I saw Graham Leggat in his prime. Nobody else comes close.
Werent we close to signing Gilzean at some stage?

Bobby Cambell was born in Liverpool, not Scotland. We had loads of Scottish players pre war but the best I saw was Graham Leggett
Graham Leggat most definitely. 092.gif 049:gif
Joe Bryan has a Scottish qualification.
But he hasn't played for us.......until Saturday.
Graham Leggat without a doubt; only problem with him was that he continually asked for a transfer because we played him out of position.
Graham leggatt
Got to be Graham Leggat - nae doot aboot it! 092.gif 049:gif

Houghton's father is Irish and he chose to represent Ireland at International level. He's Irish.
This must make boring reading for some but it has got to be Graham Leggat.
I well remember that I was in a Scout van in July/Auust 1958 travelling down from a holiday in Scotland on the day that he was signed from Aberdeen. The Daily Mirror showe a photo of him rock climbing. £15,000 if I remember correctly.
A brilliant finisher who was spoiled by playing him other than on the right wing.
Hands down.. Antti Niemi... :005:

Nope , he is scottish , you cant pick and choose your nationality , his birth certificate would read " born in Glasgow " ,which is in Scotland !
Sadly didn't ever see Leggatt but he sounds like a bloke we could do with in the Scotland team now! Best Scot I've seen in a Fulham shirt is John Collins
Has to be John Collins for me
Early Sixties older fans will remember Jackie Henderson got a few caps as well. Still Graham Leggatt best Scot.
Leggatt
Definitely Graham Leggatt but Joe Gilroy joined us in the mid 60's for 20,000 and he scored a few goals but not enough. But he did a lot of running
Can only be Leggatt, not just the best Scot, but one of our best ever, fantastic player. 049:gif
Before my time but my old man loved Graham Leggatt, said in our top five all time players easily
No contest........Graham Leggatt

If both parents were Irish and he was born in Glasgow that still makes him Irish. Jesus was born in a stable but that didn't make him a horse.
Of players I have seen myself, Houghton and Rougvie
My Dad names Leggatt as one of our best ever irrespective of where born.

Houghton's mother was born in Glasgow !
Whatever the geopolitical or ethnic nicities, in football terms the nationality of Ray Houghton is beyond question. Even if he wears tartan underpants, eats porridge for breakfast, can play the bagpipes (but, being a nice bloke, declines to do so), drinks Irn Bru and recites Rabbie Burns in a Glaswegian accent (which he most certainly possesses), the 73 caps that the Republic of Ireland put on his head defines the matter conclusively from a football point of view - which is what concerns us here, is it not?
Graham Leggat. Not only best Scottish Player but one of our all time best players.Would Certainly make my all time first eleven

Quite liked Joe Gilroy and Peter Marinello played a few decent games for us.
Come on. Ray Houghten represented Ireland, associated with Ireland and was Irish. My best mate was borne on a boat in Australian territorial waters, he's as English as they come.

Yes, remember Jackie Henderson well, he was a regular in the side as inside forward, or attacking midfield, soon after I began watching Fulham - a decent player who'd made his career with Arsenal.
Another ex -Arsenal Scot who played for us, a bit later, was Peter Marinello, mentioned by someone above, who'd been touted as the 'new George Best' and Arsenal paid a lot for. Sadly, he resembled Best in his off -field activities too, but he did have outstanding talent, but never fulfilled his early promise, and didn't stay long at Fulham.
