Yesterday at Wembley spurs served up a chicken burger and a small bottle of Budweiser beer for £14.00. We get robbed wherever we go. The Burger on its own was £6.50 and if you wanted a kit Kat it was £1.50.
That's one of the reasons why I eat before I leave for the Match, which is generally a full sized Extra Large Cow Pie. With Lashings of Rice Pudding. Washed down by a Large Pint of English Bombardier.
Before I enter any Football Stadium, rather than be mugged of my hard earned wages.
Who'd have thought the 'Twenty is Plenty' campaign was actually about your half time meal?
Not sure how much of that is Spurs and how much is Wembley. I tend not to buy food there for that reason
I stopped buying anything inside football stadia a good few seasons ago because of prices and quality.
Totally agree with everything said above but to me it is morally wrong. If it's Wembley it is wrong, if it is Spurs it is still wrong. We should all be shouting loudly as it is stealing our money. You cannot take water in to the ground without it being poured into a disposable cup!!! People at the top don't care we are only football supporters.
The worst rip off is the Spurs Lottery ticket. The winner gets his money back!

...less a 25% handling charge of course......
Oh, and don't forget the 5% booking fee when buying it.....

If I'm reading this correctly the bottle of Bud was £7.50? That is insane.
Can't understand why anyone buys burgers, the smell is enough to put me off.
Meanwhile, I've just come back from Atlanta where a refillable bottle of Coke costs $2

A bottle of coke at the Cottage is £3.50 ($4.60) !!

That made me chuckle
According to a survey I read last week, the Cottage offers its well-heeled clients the second most expensive pie and pint combo in the PL.
Away supporters are surcharged at Wembley. The Burger was a chicken (allegedly) burger with cheese and coleslaw and it was horrible. I tried it.
Why anybody would pay for Budweiser is beyond me :dft004:
You guys should come to baseball and football games in America. It's a little worse than what you've described. And the food is shite.

+1
+ 2 you may as well drink your own urine
+1,000
It's not even proper Czech Budweiser, anyway. That actually tastes ok.
There is a lot of beer that is watered down. They used to leave it to the land lords in the pubs where some used to over do it but now the brewery do it as a matter of course before it ever gets to the punter.
Best to stick to Rocket Fuel.
Ironically I was in Russia following England at the World Cup, which was the polar opposite.
For somewhere you think it would be a massive rip-off to fans, its was actually incredibly reasonably priced. I imagine mainly to make it affordable for all fans.
Budweiser 440ml can in Fan Parks and Stadiums (depending on the location, Moscow was most expensive): £2-£3
There was also a local lager which was a tiny bit cheaper.
The food was also incredibly reasonable, and you would not pay more than £4 for a decent bit to eat.
Constant moans on here re food.
Why don't you who moan take your own food it couldn't be easier and even if you don't, it's only a couple of hours in your life wait till after the matches.

Go to Petco Park in San Diego, best ballpark food I've ever had
Boho you are totally missing the point. I doubt anyone buys food at a football ground on a regular basis. But if and when we do we do not want to feel we have been done over. Also you obviously haven't had kids or if you have you were or are very mean or tight fisted. Kids need feeding and a toilet like now! Or it can kick off big time.

I just cant agree with that. The variety you get at those games is far beyond anything you see at a British stadium.

Reinstatement of the death penalty would sort out most of these issues. That Sidney Silverman ruined many an afternoon out watching football....

Who sits in front of the bloke still missing Matt Smith? I used to sit in front of one, but moved as he couldn't bear anyone standing up ever, and use to moan at everyone to sit down, even when Fulham scored.
Odd really, he never sat down until kick off, and would leave early every game.
