Title: New system without Cairney?
Post by: Facts Not Fiction on September 16, 2018, 10:09:13 AM
It has been clear over the last 2 games how much we miss Cairney.

None of Seri, Johansen, McDonald and Anguissa can duplicate his role. This begs the question, do we need a new system without him?

Putting Seri and Anguissa at CM, with Ayite and Schurrle on the wings, with Veitto behind Mitro up front?

I'm not saying this is the answer, but without Cairney, we do look weaker in the midfield, which has been our strongest area for a few years.

I think that's a good idea as an interim measure..

Some news of Cairney would be interesting, is it going to be like the first half of last season when he was out for a long while.
