Title: Subs bench
Post by: fulhamexmouth on September 18, 2018, 08:07:55 AM
I have to admit, like many on here I wasn't filled with optimism before the City game but the thing that really disappointed me was the negativity of the subs bench. We had a keeper, 4 defenders, a defensive mid and an out of form winger (no disrespect to Ayite intended). Defensive options are always good to have on the bench but virtually no attacking players in sight? With sess starting at LB, that removes one attacking threat as it is but I can at least understand that he played him there to try and counteract Sterling. But with no AK in sight, Joe Bryan being mysteriously dropped, I felt it was negative from the start. Or am i reading too deeply into it all?

thought the same... very defensive bench. i guess you could always push upchristie or sess if needed. not many genuine strikers in the squad.
