Buck is the top lawyer for Chelsea and also (coincidently) in charge of finding a replacement for Scudamore. One would think a conflict of interests here but the compliant media has barely reported it.
Point of this is, it's in Chelsea's interests to get Fulham relegated.

In any other business it would be seen as a conflict of interest. The people who run football will effectively turn a blind to the misdoings at clubs like Man City and continue to pursue policies that are to the benefit of the big money influencers.
Just reading this article by respected writer on modern football David Goldblatt, which shows how the very rich owners of top teams, like City, manipulate regulations like FFP in their favour by getting into powerful governing positons in the game.
Not a million miles from biased refs - just because these teams have such power through the money they bring in, that the authorities are frightened to upset them Hard to think that this somehow doesn't influence refs, who are also influenced by home crowds, of course, and by a media that kow-tows to the top teams, and doesn't take teams like Fulham seriously, despite our pedigree and history.

Tolstoy wrote "Writing laws is easy, but governing is difficult" and I do feel present day philosophy has lost touch with the profundity he was expressing. To allow money to govern anything and everything is a dangerous route to take towards equality and justice. The football corporations are simply copying everything that corporations are allowed to do and get away with in the wider spheres of commerce. Somewhere there is a lovely game that can be played by anyone who wishes to play it in one of its many formats that has been completely forgotten in all this.

All 20 Premier League clubs have been asked for a £250,000 contribution so that the league's outgoing executive chairman Richard Scudamore can be given a £5m farewell gift.
The clubs were asked for the money before a meeting on Tuesday.
It is expected they will agree to Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck's request.
Scudamore, 59, who is reportedly paid £2.5m per season, is stepping down next month after 19 years at the organisation.
The league's UK television rights were valued at around £670m when he joined, and the last deal was worth £5.14bn.
Buck, who has developed a close friendship with Scudamore since becoming Chelsea chairman in 2003, received backing from top-flight clubs during a meeting at Premier League headquarters in London.
Should every club contribute, the outgoing boss will receive an additional £5m windfall as a token of appreciation for his successful tenure.
"We expect to make an appropriate appointment in good time so there can be a seamless transition," Buck said after Scudamore's departure was announced in June.
The Chelsea chairman has been leading the search for Scudamore's successor along with Leicester City chief executive Susan Whelan and Burnley chairman Mike Garlick.
Scudamore joined the Premier League in November 1999 as chief executive before moving to his current role in June 2014.
It is expected all 20 clubs will agree to the £250k donation to give Scudamore £5m.
That's an obscene amount. What happens if we don't give it? Surely we'd (and other clubs ) would benefit hugely by giving 250k (if it's a gesture they're looking) to a Scudamore titled grassroots project to protect his legacy rather than enhancing his bank balance?
And the winner is Susanna Dinnage, a media specialist, who is also a Fulham FC season ticket holder.
She replaces Mr Scudamore in the New Year.

It sounds a lot but the last two TV deals (3-4 yrs in duration) have benn worth what, £5 billion each? In 19 years in the role, he must have brought in about £20 billion to PL clubs. So £5m sounds a lot but on that maths amounts to a bonus of about 0.25%. In contrast an estate agent does substantially nothing when you sell your house and takes 6x that, 1.5% or more.

Apparently, at the eleventh hour, Ms Dinnage has declined to take up her role as replacement to Scudamore. Ms Dinnage is apprently staying with her present employer.
It's a considered a conflict of interest. Football players will actually turn a blind eye to such actions and misdemeanors in such clubs. All the same, everything will be done as influential people with big money say. Only an influential lawyer can act against them. For example, my brother played for the club that threw him a large amount of money. According to the contract, my brother was supposed to receive a larger sum than the club.
