Title: Looking at the teams in the Championship
Post by: rogerpbackinMidEastUS on January 12, 2019, 12:51:38 AM
and the prominent teams and pedigrees, it's apparent that..

a/. How fantastic was our achievement last season
b/. How difficult would that be to replicate
c/.  How important is it that we stay up and constantly re-invest.

Who would have thought that Bournemouth with such a small ground
and catchment area would be spending millions in the transfer market
and are succeeding on a minimal budget.
That is how staying up the season is SO IMPORTANT.

I don't believe a defeat tomorrow is the final straw, 2/3 wins in a row will
lift us above the 'zone'
Where are those wins going to come from, we ask.
Ask Bournemouth, Brighton, Burnley, Southampton (another success story)
Huddersfield, Watford, Palace, Cardiff, Leicester and........the numerous teams
that have 'gone down'  Bolton, Preston, Forest, Derby, Ipswich, Coventry
are  just a few examples.

It's increasingly a tough division to get into, but the rewards are shown by the
list above of 'ups and down' success.

It's Imperative we stay up, if that's what us supporters would prefer, but we've tumbled
to the depths before, many of us were there.
We could never hope for a season like the last one, a fairy tale.

Negativity is not the answer, but for us lot, impossible to ignore.

I won't count Newcastle because they are a BIG club in comparison.
