We were after defender Boyata of Celtic back in the last window, why have we not tried again? :022:

He was discussed a lot here. The consensus seemed to be that he is not very good, and that the Celtic fans would love to see the back of him. However, not sure they know anything, since they also was glad to let Johansen leave.
Fans always say that about a player who wants to leave.

Agree, however unless he has been an absolute beast (as in another level) in the Scottish PL, then I doubt that he is what we need right now.
If he is not good enough for Celtic, he is nowhere near good enough for Fulham

Probably not, but Johansen was. Still, that was lower league.
Think he downed tools at Celtic, so not good attitude.
Good enough for Belgium though, played every group game in World cup for them.
I have two friends who are Celtic STH'ers. they not only said we're welcome to him as hes a liability (they highlighted the Rangers game recently as an example), but compared him to Titus bramble......
Totally agree, watched the recent Celtic v Rangers game and Boyata made Ream and Odoi look like Pele.
Thanks for the replies gentleman, so it is thank you and good night to he.

Same fans who said that, said Armstrong wasn't good either and I've been really impressed with him at Saints to be honest so pinch of salt maybe...
So everyone agrees that he is not the one, but have you seen his stats?

I'm still struggling with the Titus Bramble reference....Having grown up in Ipswich, I still don't know hoe he had a football career.

Well, as someone funnier than me stated on another thread, he was "statistically tall"

To me Titus Bramble has to the biggest how did he ever become a professional footballer. It wasn't his fault but who thought he was good enough to become one? :022:

As I mentioned, he was an Ipswich academy player, even the coaches at youth level I worked with all said the same. Its crazy, but should be applauded, having such little ability, keeping a career going for as long as he did!!!
