Title: Fulham Ladies Football Team
Post by: ffcwickford on March 20, 2019, 10:34:55 PM
We, under Al-Fayed had the first Full time Professional Ladies team and obviously were very successful.

MAF pulled the plug when the FA reneged on a deal for a fully professional league.

Now that Barclays has decided to sponsor the WSL for three years to the tune of £10m - could we see Shad Khan, as an American owner, where they are far in advance of us professionally in Womens Football look to upgrade our current Ladies team to Professional status from 2019/20 and let them use Motspur Park for home games and as a training base and increase the WSL from 11 teams to 12 from next season.

Well if he has any genuine interest in football, he has no reason not to, let's hope he does.

No better way to perfect the stats model, than throwing the best XI stats all in one team and seeing where the model needs improvement. If we use the stats model for Men's, Women's and Under 23s we will make three times as many mistakes, which is three times as many lessons learned, which is three times as many chances to fix it and we can see if a stats model can be improved so it actually works.

Whoever invented stats should be sued for every penny they have.

Stats help! Instead of the old method of monitoring the field for any player resembling an immovable statue, they look for players with low km/h readings over the last 10 minutes, either way you do it around 60-70 minutes Seri and Schullre need a rest.

Need a rest ? Hmmm
So do the unfortunate supporters who have to watch them.
Schurrie actually puts on weight whilst he is playing.
Computer says no.

It might offer Khan a way out with his son. Put TK in charge of the ladies and get a proper DoF for the rest.

Is there an actual reason why the ladies team is nowhere near the top in terms of priorities?
Seems like a free hit for them to at least use the same facilities?

Our friendly community club ethos needs to extend beyond the XY chromosomes

Agree, I am dissapointed that there is no apparent emphasis or enthusiasm for promoting a Ladies team that can compete at a high level.
All credit to the current ladies teams that represent Fulham at another level, and they should be given more publicity and more support, after all they are representing Fulham no matter what level.
They should be near the top of the clubs priority's.

Exactly, we don't tell them how to knit.
However, I don't see women footballers diving or pretending they are injured, or behaving like juvenile delinquents like pampered footballers do.
I watch the England Lioneses at football, rugby and cricket, hockey and netball and other sports, and we are outstanding in all these sports, and they entertain me, especially the Rugby.
So I raise my glass to them, providing my wife or her sister or my girlfriend or the woman next door keeps topping it up whilst wearing a bikini and pampering me and doing the ironing at the same time.

MAF set a marker for English ladies football and showed what could be done.
Shame he lost interest and I do hope Mr Khan will resurrect the ladies team and see if we can make a name for ourselves again.
