Title: Empty seats at the Cup Final
Post by: res on May 19, 2019, 12:38:30 PM
Did anyone notice the scores of empty seats in the corporate sections at the Cup Final, not just after the kick offs at the start and for the second half, but empty throughout the game. A kick in the teeth for the 1000s of genuine fans who couldn't get a ticket.

It is and always has been the corporates. I did a tour of Wembley a while back and was shown John Terry's suite. Whether it is still owned by him who knows

I think we had a slightly bigger crowd for our play off final.

In any sport that offers Corporate tickets you will find empty seats during the game. The ticket holders just spend the time boozing & scoffing from the trough. None of them are interested in the sport side of the day.

The prime example is the centre court at Wimbledon where so many enjoy their hospitality lunch and gin & tonics more than the exciting tennis.
