Sky Bet Championship at The Valley, London
Would still have started StefJo.
No Mawson on the bench is strange/interesting. Guess Kongolo kind of supplants him.
Guessing Mawson will play against city in the cup.
It looks like Onomah on the wing from how they're stood at the pitch.
Lively start from Charlton.
Betting that due to injuries that the players starting for Charlton will look to prove themselves. Can see them playing hard and fast with losts of pressure.
Luca's a sub? I thought he was heading out the door?
Hearing from a mate at the match that Charlton are still not over Parker leaving.
Already clear not enough attacking players on the pitch.
Onomah playing LW? Do me a favour.
Bryan LW please and bring Christie on at RB so Odoi covers LB.

They're free to have him back (joking...sort of).
Two defence splitting balls from Odoi now.
When will he get his chance in midfield?
Early in game looks like FFC dominating, getting some chances....would be nice to get that first goal/early goal....
I'm in the "what does Onomah offer us except a weak sideways pass?" camp
Joe Bryan almost scoring a goal
With the Forum highlighting Onomah today I guess quite a few fans will be studying him.
Formation a tad negative and we have a leggy midfield in Cairney, MCDonald, Arter , Onamah.
Without Knockaert and a natural centre forward we may struggle to probe or get enough players to support attack quickly ....
Keep giving away free kicks in dangerous places. Come on lads kick it into second gear.
Drag Onomah off please and bring on Christie (as above so Bryan goes LW) or Johansen.
Midfield so static. Arter particularly struggling but we need legs and players to run between lines.
This is painful!
Onomah or Arter or both need changing up

Yes please
I would replace Arter with Johansen, since Johansen can do everything that Arter does only better. And with less blunders. But clearly Parker doesn't rate StefJo, which is a shame.
5 shots to 1
5 corners to 3
Missing Mitro, Knock and Cairney
First half.
People are already complaining.
As Gentelmen Jim says, this is walking pace football.
Think Arter has played quite well personally. Reading game well and getting some space outside penalty area.
Yes he gets caught for pace chasing back to own goal but not been an issue as we have cover.
TC a bit anonymous playing in the advanced role

Opportunity cost though! They don't offer anything we could be more attacking and be 1-0 up by now. We need a win!
We are trying to walk the ball into goal. Want to see us start taking some chances on goal from outside the box.
I'd be open to throwing in Stansfield at the moment. Would do plenty of running and might need the test given the current injuries.

I could see doint that.
Hector has decided that MOTM isn't enough and now he wants to ping 60 yard pin point cross field passes to o wingers like Beckham.
How did we sign him!
Very poor half. Tactics and personnel to blame. Time for SP to earn his money.
Inna positive note Hector really has started his FFC career well ...
I look forward to the 2nd half as this is dire to watch. All we need now is a home goal to top it
I think you could drag off all 11
Like the Stanfield shout. Not seen enough of him but he is on the bench so presumably ready to play a part ...
Need to change things up for the 2nd half.
Just some sort of attacking play would be nice right about now

Hector and Ream done well.
Bryan and Odoi trying to support up front but not enough wingers on to create space for them.
Arter reading game well, finding space to work the ball around in the middle. Mac Donald ditto. Both getting caught for pace at times especially on their right hand side which incidentally is the side we persist in playing Onomah LW who has been redundant all game.
D Reid isolated due to lack of wingers. Cav unsure where he is playing as no winger the other side so drifting in/out both sides and not finding any space.
Bring back 4-3-3 and get another winger on! Got to be Bryan surely?
Somewhat disappointing first half. Just able to watch last 25 mins or so of first half.....lots of possession but very few really good scoring chances. Reid did have a very good chance just before half ended, but just plunked it right into the keeper.
Hopefully FFC can do better 2nd half. This is a game they 'should' win and need to win if they want to compete for top two spots.
God, if we had AK to run at the back line right now :023:

I don't like Onomah on the wing. I want him in the middle driving at the opposition midfield. Arter can go to bench and move Onomah inside. I don't care who they bring so they can shift Joe outside (I'd like him out wide)
TC creating nothing and not getting involved physically and hindered by them being so deep. Take him off, go to 4-3-3 with Stansfield, Cav and BDR up front. We've not played badly, it's just we've found a team that's parking the bus and we've not got a 9 who can unlock them at the moment

Yes the middle looks bare. Not a winger
My instant sub would be Harry off, Christie on with Odoi going to LB, Bryan sitting in front of him. Then 20 minutes in Harry off with StefJo coming on. After two good goals, Jay comes with Bobby coming off. Jay sees out the match getting his first goal in the Championship.

Happy with your suggestion as long as Bryan goes wide!! Get yourself down to the touch line and have a chat with SP please!
I see comments re this player and that. I suppose when you see arter and odoi down the right and you see two banks of five for Charlton, its clear square pegs round holes wont work. nothing at all against arter but how can he be the replacement for knockheart?

Our two senior strikers are injured, our starting winger got injured in the last game and our other backup winger is out as well, what more can you do other than change a back 4 that got two clean sheets in a row to make one of them a makeshift winger? We have injury problems of our own, if we grind a 1-0 out of this then it's a managerial master stroke, we don't have to play total football, just get a win somehow

I can see where you're coming from - but a managerial masterstroke in my eyes would be to pick up that Bryan has shown some real glimpses of being a good LW against Aston Villa and use today where Charlton offer very little to play him there.
Also, let's not forget that moving Odoi over to LB and playing Bryan LW would mean we have two strong defenders covering that side which has been their strongest side so far and with their pacey players.
Ream having a good match.
Unlucky Hector. Heck of a chance to score his first goal.
Ah stick it away big man
Hector should have scored. BRD should have passed...
Still 0-0 at Forest.
Has the ref had a bad experience during the half time?
Charlton have a shot on goal after an hour!
Stansfield on for Onomah, Christie on for Arter. Push Bryan up wing.

way this is going we are going to win it with a 20 yarder or get caught on the counter
Parker will bring on changes with 20 minutes to go.
This is very frustrating and slow. Need to make the quicker more daring pass at times rather than slide it to the man stood next to you. It's a little too predictable. Wonder if Knockaert's pace is the deference tonight.
Maybe bring on Stefjo for Cairney?
I'd take off Arter now. Looking to be losing his head a bit.

Not sure who else he is supposed to pick with our injuries?
Swapped 2 midfielders for another midfielder and a RBz
We have 2 forwards on the bench at least give one of them a go.
With all the excitement of the collapse from the top 2 I forgot we're simply not good enough week to week. Even if we win this I just don't feel like this team has the capability of getting promoted the way we are playing.
Huge opportunity that we are about to blow here, I appreciate injuries but we fielded a team like we were playing Man City trying time flood the midfield.
Real shame

What a piss poor game, set up Hoping for a point.
I feel sorry for any fans that traveled to watch that dross
Can you believe that by McDonald
Poor tonight.
Lots of injuries as deeping_white says but we haven't played well enough.
I think we should have pressed the button earlier - half time even or at the latest 60 minutes. Charlton offered very little and by the time we did change and become more attacking we were going through such a lull we didn't really gather ourselves until 75 mins and 15 mins isn't enough time to break down 2 banks of 4.
Think Hector needs to stop those long balls. I thought once or twice in the first half they were brilliant but as time went on he was forcing it far too much and giving it away. Not his job to make those balls.
Ugh! Chance wasted.
We will always underwhelm with Parker at the helm. Not saying sack him now but if we don't get promoted with this squad, get rid.
BOOOO
Awful game of football. Two points dropped, you'd think.
We just didn't do the basics, summed up by McDonald throwing the ball at Ream when we want a final chance and then Ream giving it away and putting us under pressure. They're loving rubbish and we didn't even put them under pressure
Disappointing result.
Our Captain was poor again imo.
Oh that wonderful word Fulhamish. Just when we had a real chance to come within 1 point of top 2 we bottle it.
Have to agree, Parker decisions, tactics and demeanour questionable and lacklustre.
For me a decisive change in manager can give us the boost we need to see us over the line.

I presume you must think you are they only person for the job
Really without Mitro the goals are just not going to flow. Only four goals in the last five Championship games.
We are SO inconsistent that I can now see us beating Man City 3-0
Uninspiring. For me the word which sums up Scott Parker. Happy to be proven wrong.
