Unlike most posters, I'm not too concerned about our defence. Put it this way, I'm more concerened about tactics than defence.
When we deal with the high press from teams trying to create panic. It may take a few games but we will get better, as we did under Slavisa. I remember the posters on here moaning about the tippy tappy nonsense. Ream back will be crucial. Full back decision making crucial and very importantly, midfield combining to ease the pressure but blimey, when we do and we get the ball into our front 6 in some space, wow, we have some amazing weapons.
I struggle to think of a better front 6 in the championship ever.
I remember three years ago, teams doubling up on TC thwarting our main provider.
All I will say is, good luck with doubling up on our weapons this year.

I agree. Lest we forget, our player of the year two seasons ago was a defender and this go round he'll have Mawson next to him. Right back may be an issue but we should be able to cover. Well, as long as Mawson's knees stay strong. We'll need minimum three defenders next season back in the Prem.

Core of the team hasn't changed much. Even with our woeful defence, I'd still say 40% chance in promotion. If only we had £2m from management for a defender! To quote that filthy beast:

Huge bet Dave, the very best of luck..... Take no notice of the wee naf Charlie Nicolas who has us down for a 1-2 loss at home today. Furious when he tipped us to go down last season!!!! Ah well, only £400 quid.
