Seems that quite a few just can't help themselves sometimes....the audible groans when Christie came on, and when he made his first slip, are no help to anyone, including the team people supposedly 'support'.
Next time anyone who can't bring themselves to applaud one of our players onto the pitch - please just keep it to yourselves.
He does his best for Fulham as much as all the others, and doesn't deserve that pre-meditated crap.
Well said Chesh - absolutely spot on - poor behaviour by some of our ' supporters '
I was there and didn't notice it. But, if it happened disgraceful.
:plus one:
As you say, he does his best. Can't ask for more than that.
I think Christie is hopeless but the groan would have been for any player who trips over the ball when your going flat our for an equaliser. I don't think he did much wrong when he came on, luckily only for a few minutes. I support all Fulham players and wish them well but if they play poorly I say so.
Whilst we are on this subject . How sad and pathetic are these pussies that are spouting racist abuse at Marcus Rashford on Twitter for missing a penalty today for Man U vs Palace? Would love to see how big and brave they are once the keyboard and monitor are removed from under their grubby little snouts and come face to face with the people they are abusing.

The main groan was when he came onto the pitch - your comments indicate you didn't really want him there.....fine, your perogative, but supporting a player would involve encouraging their entrance onto the pitch, not booing it. not saying you personally did that, but lots did.
The groan when he slipped was definitely enhanced by people who did so louder because it was Christie - like it or not.
I just think the bloke deserves as much of a break as the others, but he clearly doesn't get it by some.

Thats the thing when out of form players, and players, that have unfortunately, not cut it the season before do when they come on. They don't get the benefit of the doubt, they either change your mind by having a blinder, or reinforce ones prior assessment that that player isn't good enough.
I don't think much of Christie but he tries hard, deserved to be cheered on and actually i didn't hear the groans but take your word for it that it happened. As it happened I thought it was the right change at the time because he is quick, can and does get forward and was the right man for the job, I think the groan for the slip was not aimed at him but genuinely just a shame it happened at the wqrong moment. he wasn't the only one to slip or make errors and his were minor in comparison.
Baird was the same. I heard fans slagging him and I specifically, verbally gave him support at games as I was a few rows off the pitch. Christie needs to prove himself is all. He gets paid to take stick. Most support him I think, seems a good lad.
It's seems ok for these cowards to do what they want and be excused by other fans and keyboard idiots.
People that ignore it are as bad as the bigots!!

Them that do it are most probably not racist, they just like to come on those networks and write sh*" in the hope that it causes a storm,I should think they start crap about lots of things...Just saddos with empty lives.
+1
I was in H4 yesterday and whilst nobody near me booed there were quite a few boos (not groans) for Christie when he came on from towards the back of H3 and possibly beyond. They should be ashamed of themselves.
I made a deliberate point of support to him from H3.
I can't abide people slagging there own players.

Every player that wears a Fulham shirt, deserves and should expect the support and respect of the fan base, even more so when attending matches.
I believe that presumptive booing or groaning when a player comes on is detrimental to the player, the team and, ultimately, the club. Those that might not like, or rate, a player don't need to cheer or clap, but should just stay silent and not hurt the club.
No mention of the long throw by Cyrus towards the end.
This is a welcome addition to Fulham's firepower and suitable fodder for Mitro.
I've not seen him do this before and he has probably been practising at SP's behest.
Is there any Jim Langley footage available to give him some pointers?

Agree with this 100%!
always support a player in a Fulham top 049:gif
Christie must always get the support of us fans, he tries his best and will do better with our backing.
Could you imagine this board if christie had made that mistake for their 2nd goal .
By the way im not saying i want sess to get grief coz we all make mistakes
Christie is a terrible player. Another black mark against the Tony Khan model.
Threw Jokanovic under the bus after his dire performance against Arsenal last season.
A terrible player who brings more hassle than he is worth

Yes terrible player, that's why he gets picked for Ireland...
What hassle does he bring?
In today's Sunday Times Brian Glanville has marked every Fulham player either a 5 or 6, except Christie who has been awarded a 2. Unbelievable.

Have no idea what Christie did to be rated so poorly. He didn't do a lot, but he didn't make any mistakes either.

I have some,,, never before seen by anyone....... 1962 v Everton. A teenage Fernhurst has to move to allow Jim his run up before launching his flying bomb to the back post where an eager Stan Brown slams it in to win the match 1-0 and frustrate the table topping Evertonians.

Its a substitute rating that's why,he was only
on in the 87th minute.

I think that is complete rubbish when you consider he was on for another eight minutes extra time. It's just a blatent score againt someone he doesn't like.

Great day wasn't it Captain? First game without The Maestro who had suffered bad injuries in a car crash in Blackpool.
32,000 at that game including us!
Everton soooooo upset, top of the League after spending an eye watering £250,000 assembling their team.
As you can tell, memorable day for me.
