Title: Loan Moves
Post by: aaronmcguigan on September 02, 2019, 05:36:32 PM
Can someone tell me why Matt ORiley and Luca De la Torre are still here? Surely a loan move is good for them at this point? Tony admitted the scouting data is readily available now for league 1 and 2, and specifically said more players would be going to those leagues because of that. What have we got in league 1 and 2? 1 player???

Luca is 21 and has played 50 minutes of league football, and 6 cup games. Surely for his own development he needs first team football somewhere?

Well we still seem to be shipping players out and some have dropped down the pecking order so perhaps more game time/first team squad experience like training with them, travel etc. It has been quite a mysterious week with Djalo, Ayite and Rico gone and yet AK seemingly back in the fold.

We loan these players to make money to spend on other players, so maybe no one offerred good money for AK47.

Or maybe we wanted to keep AK? Sometimes they simple answer may be correct.

True enough. The current coaching set up is the best chance AK will have to find and nurture that football brain that is surely in there somewhere.

I have seen nothing to suggest a football brain. And nothing to suggest touch, finesse or the ability to pick a pass.

Regardless of what anyone on here thinks of AK, all the evidence suggests that both TK and SP wants to keep him and that he has a role to play for us this season.

Also true enough but it might be as simple as a folder in the desk titled Plan D. Bulldozer. As Sting says those set with the task want him around so what do we know. For my part he has joined a growing group under the Khan banner that look less like a pro footballer, more legend in their own bath time.
