If he could be lured out of retirement. Stuart Pearce would certainly inject passion into the team and knows how to organise a defence. Given his experience with England, he has the knowledge of tactics. He also wouldn't take any crap from any players and he'd give some of the younger players opportunities to come through.
Do you think he'd be a good fit for Fulham?
Unimpressive club coaching record. No thanks.
interesting idea, not sure he has any connection to Fulham or would want to come to us
How about 'No'?
He was a terrible manager, so...no.
Rather keep Parker than have him. Awful manager.
Agree with most of the above. Lots of pumping fists and shouting but frankly, very little substance or results.
As an observation; we are badly in need of managerial stability, otherwise it's a change of direction every 12 months or sooner. Hodgson gave us that and Keegan before him. But both left for not inconsiderable better jobs. Parker doesn't convince me but I struggle to think of anyone at the moment who I think - "Oh I wish we had him!" I still think a DOF (a proper one) with a track suit coach would be good.
Now you are going to ask who.
DOF - Pardew
Coach - well Parker not out of it but Grant McCann is winning his spurs at a club with a lot less money than we have.
dreadful idea, he was a useless manager
Welcome back FC Silver Fox
IMO I'd only lose Scott for Tigana or Slavisa at this point
Hope you are well
NO NO NO
You are joking🙄🙄🙄🙄
Not even as a joke.

Cheers. Fighting stage 4 pancreatic cancer for over 2 years and still feeling more positive about my health than I am about our current squad.
Still wearing the shirt, my friend

He is Hammersmith born so he probably has some connection. He was still playing for England at 37 yo and a regular at ManCity at 40 yo, he'll at least laugh at the idea our squad is aging.
Little bit of comedy there from the op

So sorry to hear that FC, I truly am. Awful news.
I'm so glad you are fighting this awful thing and will pray for recovery.
I'm glad the shirt went to a really deserving person and I still remember that lovely wine!
Have a great Christmas and a very happy New Year to you
Still believe mate - a bit of tweaking and we will do well.
Very best wishes
Only one thing really matters Silver Fox - take care of yourself - your fight and spirit is an inspiration to all of us . Best Wishes
As thick as a cup of spit .... no chance

Sorry to hear of your situation but I am very pleased you are able to focus on the big issues . Wishing you well... and hopefully three points on saturday will bring some much needed pre holiday cheer to us all.

Don't know if I've crossed paths with you guys, but Silver Fox, I truly wish my very very best. "Ram on". PM me if I can help in any way.
But, Stuart Pearce isn't going to be able to help anyone I'm afraid.
I don't agree with your managerial suggestion Silver Fox but I sure as hell support your fight for your health. I will think of you every time I walk into the Cottage.
No, he was an unsuccessful manager and now he's been out of the game for a while so tactics have moved on. Bad choice.
Very sorry to hear of your condition, good luck for 2020. :54:

Very sorry to hear about your health issues. Stay strong and get well. Much more important than football.
Absolute madness of a thread. I had to read the title more than once to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me
Did the clocks stop at 2004? I've seen suggestions for Keegan, Pearce and even Hoddle for DOF.
We need someone a bit more current.

But it's still football. Did football become something other than football after 2004? Are Alex Ferguson, Brian Clough, Bobby Robson etc not great football managers if you transferred them into modern day? Or are they inferior to the great modern movers & shakers like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Pellegrini, Hassenhutl etc? You could actually go on to state that a number of "old school" managers are currently in the Premier league - Roy Hodgson, Steve Bruce, Sean Dyche, Nigel Pearson, Chris Wilder and most have acquitted themselves well based on the size & financial clout of the clubs they're managing. Sorry - do not get the whole modern manager ethos. If Parker is an example of a modern & progressive manager - then no ta!!
No thanks
He would do really well in my opinion. But that maybe biased, I've sat on the same table at a dinner party. It was a real privilege to talk to him, and it was incredible to hear some of his experiences.
Thank you all for your kind comments and best wishes. I feel blessed and privileged to be part of the Fulham family. There is no other club quite like ours
If there was going to be a new manager, but I am still happy with Scot Parker, I would take Stuart Pearce.
Not for me
