What memories stirred. Les Barrett and Jimmy Conway in full flow. Alan Mullery giving his thoughts when Jimmy was booked by Clive Thomas and Bobby Moore bringing Viv Busby back down to earth after he had scored his second goal, 'Wait until the final whistle until you celebrate.' What a day that was.  Thanks for this posting NJFulham.   :54:

A great day out, but nowhere near as good as Carlisle.

The journey back to Liverpool Lime Street was interesting!!

Great, unexpected win, at Everton - and we ckearly se the influence of  captain Mullery, and Moore in our Cup run - thanks for posting.

I didn't go to that game, but was at Carlisle, when Les Barrett  scored the only goal.
That was certainly a memorable day,  being marched from the station and back, with a police escort to protect us, singing our songs.

The journey back on the train was  certainly something.
