Have had a son which has turned out
to be as good as their Dads.
I'm struggling to think of any...
Leroy and Liam Rosenior?
Brian and Nigel Clough

Brian and Nigel Clough
Brian wasn't really one of the Worlds greatest players.

His goal scoring record at club level took some beating. 271 games 251 goals. :54:
May not be the greatest ever players but I offer these.
Tony Hateley, Mark Hateley and I think Mark's son played for Motherwell.
Les Allen, Clive Allen
Paul Barnes (Burnley) Harvey Barnes (Leicester now)

Not bad but as you say not all time greats.
I can't think of one.

Yes your right there about Sir Brian.
Briann's career cut short by injury.
The Lampards, Frank and Frank snr. Harry and Jamie Redknapp. Johan and Jordi Cruyff. Peter and Kasper Schmeichel. I guess Jordi and Kasper lived in their fathers shadows but Frank and Jamie were arguably better than their dads.

Yes,could have been one of greatest players.
You would think the all time greats would have produced great players through their genes.
Maybe tough to outshine your Dad.

When was Frank Lampard snr world class?
I'm on about the greats.
Mark chamberlain (stoke and England) Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain now not sure you would describe either as world class but son is better than father.
Not worldies but the Dodgins have to have a mention, both players & managers for us.
Not quite as good as his dad but a class international player all the same: Kasper Schmeichel, son of Peter.
The maldinis of ac milan and now the grandson played the weekend

Fair point. Although to be fair to Frank snr he was a pro for.twenty years and was part of a West Ham team who played some great football back then. Also picked up a couple of England caps along the way.
Michael and Kevin Hector?
Cesare and Paulo Maldini?

Yes good answer.
Patrick and Justin Kluivert .
Mick and Montmorency ?
(Sorry - that's one for the over-70s, nothing to do with football)
Paul Ince and Tom Ince?
Tom should probably have made a bit more of his career than he has but he is still half decent.
Ian Wright and Shaun Wright-Phillips?
Alf-Inge Haland and Erling Haland?
Pakistani cricketer
Javed Me and dad

Ian Wright and Shaun Wright-Phillips?
Both nowhere near as good as their Dads I'm afraid.
Johan and Jordi Cruyff (Jordi not half bad, Johann truly world class)
And, although I don't like either of them, I suppose the Redknapps have both done pretty well ... both were very good players.

Ian Wright and Shaun Wright-Phillips?
neither of them hold a clubs goalscoring record or had a club retire their number, unlike the mighty Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Danny/Daley Blind another pairing.
Enrico and Federico (think it's Federico?) Chiesa one where the youngster should surpass the father.
Mark and Alex (Oxlade-) Chamberlain
