Title: Fulham's womens team profiles
Post by: General on February 06, 2020, 02:42:11 PM

Just noticed a relatively new addition to the site of a woman's squad and photos.

http://www.fulhamfc.com/fulham-fc-women/first-team/player-profiles

I'm aware in my tenure that the women's game has struggled to get a foothold in England and has had a few iterations of FulhamFC women come and go over the years, with one or two of the team having been at Fulham previously.

Whilst I wish the current crop longevity for the cause and success, I think it may need a bit further tweaking.

We had such a good team bought with Al Fayeds money. It seemed poor business, just as the Womens game was finding its feet to end it. We missed the boat as the game is clearly becoming much more competitive and successful and we had  to start again.

Agreed - but we started again. I'd assume though with the game relatively infant still and ownership willing to have a women's team again and put money into a club, they may well get Fulham competing again. A few names in there who look like they've had solid careers, although a few in their 30s.
