Title: BBC Predictor
Post by: TonyGilroy on February 09, 2010, 09:03:13 AM

I spent 10 minutes on this inputting scores without much thought but in accordance with current form. No surprise scores but if, say, Bolton play Sunderland any result is equally likely.

I had us 10th on 50 points which might be optimistic but more interestingly, apart from Portsmouth who were cut adrift, I had 5 clubs on 32 or 33 points.

That reflects the likely points distribution of clubs playing each other. Factor in the odd surprise result and it demonstrates the probability of the safety mark being a few points below 40. As usual.

We're nearly there and certainly will be if we win tonight.

...interestingly on my more Lighthouse leanings, and without another away win for the rest of the season we are still 10th on 43 points.

I think that 36 points will see most teams safe this season...
