Classic Minder on ITV4 this afternoon, I remember the regular FFC references but don't recall this mention of our friends down the road:

Arthur: What's he like?
Terry: He's a QPR supporter
Arthur: Well, there must be a bit more about him than that?
Terry: Not a lot.

Odd as Dennis Waterman is a Chelsea fan.
I saw a show by Gerard Kenny who wrote the Minder tune and he said that at the time he was playing in a Shepherds Bush pub where Denis Waterman happened to be drinking at the time . He sang the song and Denis Waterman approached him and said that he would like to use the song for a new series he was going to make.
This may be unconnected trivia but it could explain the Minder writer's connection and references to Fulham and QPR.
