Title: Is the Hector factor wearing off
Post by: The Swan on February 20, 2020, 08:56:33 PM
Michael Hector has been outstanding so far. We have conceded two goals at home to Huddersfield and three at home to Barnsley.
No problem as we have not conceded many goals away.
Hopefully Hector will help Fulham keep a clean sheet tomorrow night. Hopefully we will score at least one goal to win the game.

I haven't watched the highlights of the Barnsley debacle but wasn't it H who stood & watched as the third goal went in?

Don't buy it - not yet at least. It's far too early. Milwall - their goal was offside and we only conceded one... Man City - we always concede a lot and you've got to remember we were down to 10 men for most of the game because Ream got sent off.

Barnsley is one of those rare games where everything that could've gone wrong, did... and Most of the reasons we conceded weren't due to HEctor or any individual errors.. they were down to Rodak fumbling the ball and miscommunicating with ream.. and the other Ream again was shuffling the balll into the corner and Rodak came so far out he got lobbed... the only player even close to stopping the ball from going in (and if he thought Rodak and Ream were going to mess it up he'd probably have got there sooner) was Hector.

We definitely seem to be recovering from a blame everything culture at the moment, perhaps a result of foreign intereference in social media sites and targeted adverts getting everyone into a frenzy and now being left to our own devices.

Hector is an unbelievable upgrade on what we've had in recent years. So no it has not.

Rodak and Hector proved they are aren't Allison or Van Dijk but we are still so lucky to have them.
