Title: NFR poll - greatest English football achievement
Post by: MikeCdawg on February 29, 2020, 07:09:33 AM
I was watching Monday night football when they were picking the greatest English teams of all time.
I'm 30, so I actually didn't realise the scale of Nottingham forest's achievement between 77-80, having only been promoted from the second division to winning the European cup, TWICE!

I always considered Leicester's premier league win in 2016 to be the greatest story in English football history but now I'm on the fence

So I just want to know all of your thoughts and opinions on the subject

Shows how good Cloughie was, turned some average players into winners.
His achievements at Forest and what Fergie did at Aberdeen winning Euorpean Trophies rate above all others imo.
Also Wimbledon and Wigan winning FA Cups were good achievements by little clubs.
