Crystal Palace On Brink Of Deal For West Ham, West Brom, Fulham Transfer Target

Crystal Palace are reportedly close to landing the services of in-demand Nigeria-eligible attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze.

According to Telegraph UK, the Eagles have had a £19.5 million bid accepted to sign the Queens Park Rangers Player of the Year.

Eze has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs including West Ham United, West Bromwich Albion and Fulham, but Palace are in pole position for his services after making an offer worth £15 plus add-ons.

Crystal Palace have been tracking Eze over the last one year and their first bid of 12m pounds earlier this month was rejected by the Championship club.

The English newspaper has suggested that Palace expect the deal taking the Anglo-Nigerian to Selhurst Park to go through by Thursday.

The 22-year-old was involved in 22 goals (14 goals, 8 assists) in 46 Championship matches last season where he played in the number 10 role, left midfielder and left winger.

EXCLUSIVE: Leeds chief holds talks as Arsenal name price for Fulham target

Arsenal will sell Callum Chambers for the right price this summer and TEAMtalk understands Leeds are ready to fight Fulham for his signature.

The 25-year-old has been told by Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta that he is not in his long-term plans and is free to leave.

The Gunners are looking to balance the books having signed Pablo Mari permanently. They're also on the brink of capturing Gabriel Magalhaes in a £27m deal.

As such, Arsenal have made it clear to Chambers that he can move on with a price of around £12m placed on his head. The Gunners also made it clear they would like to sell, rather than loan Chambers out. As far as Arteta is concerned, Chambers' Arsenal career is over.

Chambers still harbours England ambitions, having won three full caps back in 2014. But he knows he needs to be playing regularly and he is now set to get the chance.

We can reveal both Fulham and Leeds have both spoken Arsenal. Chambers knows Fulham well having spent 2018/19 on-loan at the club.

Leeds, however, cannot be discounted. They have a connection through sporting director Victor Orta, who signed him during his time with Middlesbrough.

Orta has held talks with Arsenal over a potential deal. Leeds are thought to have chatted about Chambers after also showing interest in his teammate Rob Holding. He too is also likely to move on this summer.

In total, Arsenal are reported to have transfer-listed up to 10 players this summer.

There is also interest in France and Germany, but it is believed Chambers would rather stay in the Premier League.

Leicester City identify two targets to replace left-back Ben Chilwell

Leicester City have identified Atalanta's Robin Gosens and Fulham's Joe Bryan as potential candidates to replace Ben Chilwell, who is on the cusp of joining Chelsea.

Chilwell is currently on the sidelines with a heel injury, but he is expected to make the switch to Chelsea after the Foxes agreed on a deal worth £50m.

The Foxes still have Christian Fuchs and Luke Thomas as the specialist left-backs, but the former is past his prime while the latter is inexperienced at the senior level.

Hence, manager Brendan Rodgers is likely to land a replacement for Chilwell and Gosens and Bryan have been mentioned as potential targets for the east Midlands outfit.

Gosens had a superb 2019/2020 season with Atalanta where he largely played in the left wing-back position. He registered 10 goals and eight assists from 43 outings.

He is currently valued at £27m by the Italian outfit, but the Foxes face stiff competition to land him amid the interest from the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan.

As a result, Bryan seems the alternate option for the Foxes. The 26-year-old starred for Fulham in the Championship play-off final by scoring a brace, but his future remains uncertain.

With the arrival of Antonee Robinson from League One side Wigan Athletic, it is reported that the Cottagers could be prepared to sanction his departure for a fee of around £15m.

The Foxes will feature in the Europa League group stage next term on the back of finishing fifth in the Premier League and Rodgers will be aware of the need for squad depth.

With nearly a month into the summer transfer window, the club have not made any signings, but the exit of Chilwell should provide them the funds to bring in new players.

Matty Cash transfer development emerges as finer details to potential Forest exit are revealed

Fulham have emerged as favourites to sign Nottingham Forest defender Matty Cash, with the London side hopeful of completing a deal for the full-back.

Cash is a player in serious demand on the back of a remarkable individual campaign for Forest, in a season where he was crowned the club's Player of the Season.

The 23-year-old was converted into a right-back in pre-season following an injury to Tendayi Darikwa, and he has since established himself as one of the country's best up and coming players in that position.

After Forest's failure to secure a top-six finish and win promotion to the Premier League, plenty of top-flight sides are taking an interest in the full-back.

Sheffield United are reportedly willing to offer £4m plus two players for Cash, whilst Forest are set to hold out for around £15m for their star player.

Now, the Telegraph claim that Fulham have emerged as favourites to sign Cash, with the Cottagers hopeful of completing a deal which would see them offer £10m plus one player for the defender.

Cash signed a new long-term deal at the City Ground back in November, tying him down until the summer of 2023.

The Verdict

This would certainly be an interesting deal for Forest and for Fulham.

Cash is probably worth at least £15m, and whilst £10m may be a good offer for him, it all depends on which player Forest can get in return.

I don't really like the idea of clubs offering fringe players to other clubs as there must be a reason as to why they are out of favour, so Forest need to be careful here.

Report: Aston Villa want Nottingham Forest's Matty Cash, but Fulham lead race

Aston Villa have joined the race to sign Nottingham Forest full-back Matty Cash, but The Telegraph has suggested that Fulham are leading the battle as the Cottagers prepare to make a bid imminently.

Cash was outstanding for Forest last season. The 23-year-old scored three goals and provided five assists as Sabri Lamouchi's men came agonisingly close to reaching the play-offs.

And it appears that his form has attracted the attention of a host of Premier League sides.

The Telegraph reports that Villa, West Ham and Sheffield United all want the youngster. However, it seems that they will have work to do if they hope to land Cash.

The report claims that Fulham are preparing a £10 million bid that would also see one of Scott Parker's men move in the opposite direction.

With The Telegraph noting that Forest value Cash at £15 million, it may not be a surprise if Lamouchi's men are tempted to consider the bid. Of course, much will depend on what Forest need and who is offered by Fulham.

TBR View: Cash could be inspired signing for around £15 million

It is not difficult to see why the likes of Villa, West Ham and Fulham want Cash. Watching him last season, it would have been very easy to forget that he came through the ranks as a midfielder.

He adapted to the right-back role superbly. And he proved to be crucial to the way Lamouchi's side played throughout a campaign that threatened to have a dramatically different ending.

Fulham Take Pole In Race For Sheffield United Target Matty Cash

Fulham have emerged as favourites to sign Nottingham Forest full-back Matty Cash, who is also on the radar of West Ham, Sheffield United and Aston Villa, according to The Daily Telegraph.

The 23-year-old defender was one of the standout performers in the Championship last season and has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs this summer.

Sheffield United have already failed with a bid for Cash, claimed to be of £10m, and West Ham and Aston Villa have also expressed an interest in the full-back this summer.

But Fulham are claimed to be the ones who are leading the chase to sign the 23-year-old Cash in the ongoing transfer window.

Scott Parker has identified the full-back as one of his priority targets ahead of Fulham's return to the Premier League next season.

Nottingham Forest have set an asking price of £15m for one of the best players of last season's Championship and are keen to dig in their heels.

But Fulham are hopeful of negotiating a deal that will see them pay a smaller amount with a player moving to the City Ground as part of an agreement this summer.

The Craven Cottage outfit are keen to offer an upfront fee of £10m and offer a player to Nottingham Forest as part of the deal.

The London club are expected to put in their formal bid with Nottingham Forest for Cash in the coming days.

Premier League outfit preparing £10m plus player move for Nottingham Forest's Matty Cash - report

Forest face a fight to keep their star defender at the City Ground this summer

Fulham are preparing a player plus cash deal in a bid to tempt Nottingham Forest into selling star defender Matty Cash, reports claim.

The Reds' Player of the Year could be on the move this summer, if a club meets Forest's asking price of £15m, but Fulham, according to the Telegraph, believe they can offer a player plus £10m to get Cash to Craven Cottage.

Boss Scott Parker, who guided the Cottagers back to the Premier League during his first season as manager, has earmarked the Forest star as one of the key arrivals he wants before the transfer window closes on October 5.

Sheffield United have already seen a bid rejected by Forest, who would reluctantly sell the 23-year-old, if their asking price was met.

It was expected the Blades would return with an improved offer, plus two players for Cash, with one of those expected to be Luke Freeman, a playmaker Sabri Lamouchi was keen to sign in January.

West Ham, Aston Villa and Southampton are among the clutch of other clubs monitoring his situation at Forest, after a fine season where he was deployed at right-back by boss Lamouchi.

The Telegraph, however, say Fulham are now favourites to prize Cash away from the City Ground with a bid expected to land in Nottingham this week.

Cash is happy to stay at the City Ground and has been back in pre-season training with the rest of the Forest squad ahead of the new campaign starting on Saturday week, but would relish the opportunity to test himself in the Premier League.

REPORT: Fulham Join Race for Ollie Watkins

Fulham are the latest club to show an interest in Brentford's Ollie Watkins, according to Sky Sports. The 24-year-old finished the campaign as the second top goal-scorer in the Championship. Narrowly being edged out from the golden boot by Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Watkins is very much in demand and Fulham will compete against a number of Premier League clubs for his signature. Brentford value the 24-year-old in excess of £25 million, which will certainly throw some teams off.

Fulham Among Those Interested in Watkins
Brentford's Play-Off Final Loss Could Prove costly

With another season of Championship football in-store for Brentford, Watkins is one of a number of players gaining Premier League interest.

Full-back Rico Henry is also wanted by West Brom, who are preparing to raid their 2019/20 promotion-chasing rivals. Said Benrahma is also attracting Premier League attention, with both West Ham and Aston Villa particularly interested.

Are Fulham Looking for Mitrovic Alternative or Strike Partner?

It remains unclear whether Watkins will be brought in as an alternative to Mitrovic or whether he will partner the Serbian. It will ultimately come down to the additions Scott Parker will make and how he will set-up this campaign.

Mitrovic beat Watkins to the Championship's golden boot award by one goal last season and will be looking to continue his form in front of goal in England's top tier. The 25-year-old has also proven himself in the Premier League, with both Fulham and Newcastle United. The striker has scored 21 goals in 77 appearances in the Premier League and will be looking to improve his tally in the 2020/21 campaign.

Ollie Watkins is a different type of striker to what Fulham already have. Not only can he hold the ball up and bring others into play, he can also get in behind and chase lost causes, a trait Fulham may need against the top teams.

Report: Fulham latest club to join race for West Ham winger Grady Diangana

Fulham has become the latest club to be interested in signing West Ham United winger, Grady Diangana, according to a report from The Sun.

The report claims the Cottagers are competing with West Brom for the signature of the 22-year-old, who spent an impressive season with the Baggies in the Championship last term.

Diangana contributed eight goals and seven assists as Albion won promotion back to the Premier League. However, it is claimed that both Celtic and Ajax are also keen on the youngster.

West Ham, on the other hand, are thought to be keen on seeing how Diangana progresses with them. He impressed yesterday in a pre-season friendly win for the Hammers. Indeed, Football.London claimed this month that West Ham won't entertain any permanent offers for their man.

But Fulham seems determined to make a splash once again in the market upon their return. They are already eyeing the likes of Ollie Watkins and Matty Cash, while they signed Antonee Robinson from Wigan.

Pressure ramping up on West Ham here, no surprise to see Fulham involved – TBR View

Fulham are being linked with a number of players so it's little surprise to see their name chucked in the hat when it comes to Diangana.

Previous reports have claimed the Hammers valued their man at around £15m. That sort of fee will not put Scott Parker or his owners off, meaning the Cottagers may very much be in the race.

Furthermore, Diangana is more likely to play at Craven Cottage. Of course, he has his chance to impress in pre-season and has started well.

Ultimately, the decision may come down to David Moyes deciding if he sees value in keeping the winger around.

Report: Aston Villa in talks over £25m Ollie Watkins deal, Fulham also keen

Aston Villa are hoping to conclude a deal to bring Ollie Watkins to Villa Park, despite late interest from Premier League newcomers, Fulham.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Dean Smith is hoping to bring Watkins in after a stunning few seasons in the Championship saw him score 45 times for Brentford.

25 of those goals came last season as the Bees just came up short of promotion to the Premier League, losing out to Fulham in the playoff final.

And now, Fulham are said to be interested in landing the forward, with Sky Sports claiming Scott Parker is looking to add Watkins to an attack that already features Aleksandar Mitrovic. It is believed Brentford want at least £25m for their man.

However, Dean Smith will be hoping his time spent working with Watkins will stand him in good stead as the race hots up for one of the most in-demand strikers outside of the top-flight.

Watkins is going to be brilliant whoever he signs for, Villa would be ideal – TBR View

Villa needs a striker after last summer's big-money signing, Wesley, failed to pay off. They scraped survival by the skin of their teeth but now have the spending power available to make improvements.

They seem to be linked with new players every other week so it's no surprise to see them as frontrunners in the race to land Watkins.

Of course, Watkins appears to have all the tools to succeed. Quick, powerful, and someone who clearly knows where the back of the net is.

At £25m, he might well prove to be a bargain in the long-run, especially given he is only 24.

QPR 'might' still move for recently promoted Premier League defender

QPR 'might' still move for Fulham defender Alfie Mawson, according to journalist Alan Nixon on Twitter (see tweet below).

The Hoops are interested in bringing him in on loan for next season. Watford are also after him, as covered by The72 yesterday.

They were hoping to use him in as part of a deal for Fulham to sign Eberechi Eze, however, their highly-rated midfielder is now set to join Crystal Palace instead.

Nevertheless, Mark Warburton's side may still try and tempt Fulham into letting him return to the Championship for the next campaign. The London side are in the hunt for a new centre-back before the new season starts and have also been linked with Oxford United's Rob Dickie.

Warburton knows Mawson from when he was manager at Brentford and the defender was a youngster at Griffin Park.

Mawson, who is 26 years old, was signed by Fulham in 2018 for a fee in the region of £15 million, as per Transfermarkt, but could leave Craven Cottage over the coming weeks despite having two years left on his contract there.

He was snapped up by Barnsley in 2015 from Brentford and impressed in his single season at Oakwell, helping them win the EFL Trophy and promotion from League One.

Swansea City lured him to the Premier League in August 2016 and he spent two years with the Welsh side. He scored seven goals in 71 games for the Swans.

Fulham came calling after the Swans' relegation and he has been at Craven Cottage since.

Chief 'managed to snatch' Newcastle and Fulham's interest – Club sure player 'will leave' this summer

Andrea Pirlo has confirmed Juventus have decided to part ways with Gonzalo Higuaín this summer.

On Tuesday, La Repubblica explained the Old Lady are looking for a new club for the striker, and Aston Villa and West Ham United have emerged as options.

Fulham and Newcastle United have joined the two other Premier League clubs in having some interest in the 32-year-old, reports Calciomercato.

They state it's now up to the Serie A side to convince the Argentine to leave, and one of the options would be to terminate his contract. However, that would cost them around €18m.

The other option is to wait until the end [most likely the end of the window] to see if there is any club willing to take the South American.

Juve want to find a club that's ready to sign Higuaín on loan and also take care of his salary. The Italian giants are hopeful the attacker would reconsider his position after making it public he will not be included in Pirlo's plans.

Juventus chief Fabio Paratici recently made a trip to London, where he 'managed to snatch' interest for Higuaín from Fulham and Newcastle. However, joining either the Cottagers or the Tyneside club 'doesn't seem to warm' the player's heart.

Report: Fulham eye move for Callum Wilson

Fulham are looking to bolster their attacking department this summer, and have earmarked Callum Wilson from Bournemouth, according to reports from Sky Sports.

The 28-year-old striker could be looking to leave the Cherries this summer following their relegation to the Championship.

A host of Premier League clubs including Everton, West Ham and Tottenham are interested in signing Wilson. It seems Fulham have joined the race for his signature as well.

He scored nine goals for Bournemouth last season and would be a very good signing for any Premier League side. The Cottagers are also keen to sign Ollie Watkins but Wilson would be a better option given he's a proven Premier League striker.

Bournemouth could lose some of their key players this summer. The Cherries have already lost Nathan Ake who joined Manchester City for a fee of £40m. Also, goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has been offloaded to Sheffield United.

If the reports are to be believed, Bournemouth could lose the likes of Joshua King and David Brooks as well.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, Bournemouth would demand a fee in the region of £30m for the striker.

Spurs are looking to sign a back-up striker to Harry Kane, and Wilson could be a very good signing for them.

Likewise, Everton are also looking to bring in a new striker. Dominic Calvert-Lewin impressed last season, but Carlo Ancelotti needs to add depth in that area. Moise Kean is yet to justify his price tag, while Cenk Tosun is facing an uncertain future at the Merseyside club.

Report: Leicester can sign Ranieri favourite for £15m; PL rivals could cash in

Leicester City have identified Joe Bryan as the replacement for Chelsea-bound Ben Chilwell and, according to the Sun (26 August, page 50), Fulham could listen to offers of £15 million.

While Brendan Rodgers has made it clear on multiple occasions throughout the summer that Leicester's England international left-back was not for sale, it seems the reality is something very different.

Money talks, after all.

Chilwell could be a Chelsea player by the end of the week with the big-spending Blues on the verge of tying up a £50 million deal for a man who, if he can rediscover the form he showed in 2019, should represent a sizeable upgrade on Marcos Alonso and Emerson (Sky).

Maybe £50 million was simply too good to turn down for a man whose form has dipped alarmingly since the turn of the year.

Especially when a replacement can be signed on the cheap, leaving another £35 million set aside to reinforce the rest of a squad which will be stretched to its limit by a Europa League tilt next season.

Bryan might have scored the goals that secured Fulham's promotion but, a matter of weeks after that stunning brace in the play-off final triumph over Brentford, the Cottagers could be ready to cash in.

The Sun claims that a £15 million bid could be enough and, in former Wigan Athletic flyer Antonee Robinson, Scott Parker already has Bryan's successor in his ranks.

An attack-minded and adventurous full-back, Bryan produced eight assists and three goals in 2019/20, including that stunning, Gary McAllister-inspired free-kick at Wembley.

"He's training every day, very well and I am thinking about him because he's a good player and very ambitious," former Fulham boss, and Leicester legend, Claudio Ranieri told Football London.

"I believe in this guy."

Confirmed : Winger Eligible For Nigeria, England, Bulgaria Signs New Deal With

With a statement on their official website, Fulham have announced that promising winger Sylvester Jasper has committed his future to the newly promoted Premier League club.

Jasper, 18, has been rewarded with a new deal until the summer of 2023 following his senior breakthrough last season.

He made his professional debut against Manchester City in the Emirates FA Cup in January 2020, before featuring in two Championship matches against Brentford and Birmingham City after lockdown.

Born in London and an England youth international, Jasper is also eligible to represent the national teams of Nigeria and Bulgaria through his father and mother respectively.

"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract with this great Club, especially after a great season for myself personally," said Jasper.

"And the Club winning promotion to the Premier League makes it even more special.

"My main focus now is to work hard and help the team any way I can to have a good season in the Prem."

Jasper scored nine goals and provided ten assists in the U18 Premier League South last season, helping the Cottagers win the title, and also featured in the FA Youth Cup, Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy.

Sylvester Jasper – the Fulham academy's latest star

The Motspur Park conveyor belt has a history of churning out high quality talent. Think Ryan Sessegnon, Moussa Dembele and Patrick Roberts in recent years. Fulham insiders have often spoken highly about a classy and intelligent winger in Sylvester Jasper and over the past year we have seen his talent really blossom.

Jasper's always been a lively presence in the Fulham youth sides and he enjoyed a stellar year with Steve Wigley's under 18s before the coronavirus lockdown brought an abrupt end to their all-conquering campaign. They were at least rewarded with the league title, if not a place in the UEFA Youth League, and Jasper was one of the team's most consistent performers. It was no surprise, after scoring nine goals and making ten more in only eighteen games, that Jasper was promoted to the under 23s. That his talent admittedly transmitted to that level, in a much more inconsistent side, speaks volumes for the winger's quality – Jasper registered two more assists in five games.

What is most exciting about his development is the partnerships he has forged with fellow members of the academy. Jasper has a brilliant understanding alongside Fabio Carvalho, who was recently named Fulham's scholar of the year in recognition of his own outstanding development. The pair have played together since breaking into the club's under 16s and it is a testament to the academy's hard work that they are both participating in first team training ahead of Fulham's forthcoming Premier League return.

Jasper's elevation to the senior squad for the FA Cup tie at Manchester City might have come as a bit of surprise, but Scott Parker clearly believes in the youngster. A young manager who is not afraid to introduce burgeoning talent, as he showed by handing Jay Stansfield a senior debut off the bench against Aston Villa in the previous round, Parker introduced Jasper as a late substitute at the Etihad in what was otherwise a pretty chastening defeat. It wasn't an isolated outing for the winger, though, with further appearances coming against Brentford and Birmingham – the latter at a time when Fulham were pushing for a late winner to keep their promotion hopes alive.

Jasper, whose outstanding year was rewarded yesterday with a richly-deserved three year contract, seems to have slotted well into the senior squad. He went on holiday with Steven Sessegnon, another recent academy graduate, and was seen celebrating promotion to the Premier League in that viral clip from Aboubakar Kamara's Instragram Live on the Wembley turf. His integration into the first team squad is a positive sign of the harmony at Motspur Park these days, with a number of youth prospects mixing with their more senior colleagues in stark contrast to the end of the Claudio Ranieri era, for example.

What's next for Fulham's latest young wonderkid? It is possible that Jasper's contract extension is the precursor to a loan move lower down the Football League pyramid, as in the case of Marek Rodak, who used that experience so impressively when he stepped into the first team in the middle of last season. You would think he would attract plenty of interest from Championship and League One sides. But Parker, a clear admirer of Jasper's talent, might prefer to nurture the winger from closer to home even if the likes of Anthony Knockaert and Ivan Cavaleiro converting their loan spells into permanent moves make nailing a first-team spot seem tricky.

There's no doubt that Jasper has an exceedingly bright future ahead of him and his comments after signing that new contract speak to his desire to keep improving and do his best to help the team. If Parker can channel that hunger and Jasper's obvious ability, then Fulham could have another real star on their hands.

'It's the right call' – Transfer details emerge regarding Fulham's pursuit of Nottingham Forest ace: The verdict

This article is part of Football League World's 'The Verdict' series, which provides personal opinions from the FLW writers regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more...

Fulham are willing to offer £1om plus the choice of one player for Nottingham Forest defender Matty Cash, according to the Telegraph.

Cash endured a remarkable campaign for Forest in 2019/20, in a season where he was converted into a full-back following an injury to Tendayi Darikwa.

The 23-year-old was arguably the best right-back in the division, and he was crowned Forest's Player of the Season after producing a series of impressive performances for the Reds.

Forest's failure to make the play-offs and gain promotion to the Premier League has led to plenty of interest from top-flight sides in Cash, with Sheffield United and West Ham among those being linked.

According to the Telegraph, though, Fulham have emerged as favourites to land Cash, with the newly-promoted Premier League side hopeful of completing a deal worth £10m plus a player.

Here, we discuss whether that's a good deal for the Reds or not...

Alfie Burns

That's a difficult question to answer without knowing which player is heading in the opposite direction.

Obviously Cash is a top talent and Forest will miss him if he moves on, but there's also Tendayi Darikwa still on the books at the City Ground, who is a very capable deputy should a transfer develop.

In that instance, could Forest look to lure someone to play in a different position out of Fulham?

There are some very good attack-minded players within that squad, as well as a few decent defenders.

Stefan Johansen springs to mind as someone who would offer Forest a little bit of a midfield spark, whilst Alfie Mawson would complement Forest's defensive options.

Ultimately, we are second-guessing and before a final answer is given, some more details need to emerge.

Jacob Potter

It all depends on who the player Fulham are offering is.

£10million for Cash won't be enough to tempt Nottingham Forest to sell him, so it's the right call by the Cottagers to offer a player as well.

Cash has really impressed me this season, and I think he's more than capable of making the step up to the Premier League ahead of the new league campaign.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fulham were offering someone like Alfie Mawson to Forest, as he's struggled for consistent game time in recent months, which could hint that his future lies away from Craven Cottage.

Forest will be reluctant to sell Cash this month, but their hands could be forced in the near future, as you would imagine that he'll be wanting to play his football at the highest possible level.

I think if the player being offered has a solid amount of Championship experience, then Forest should accept this deal.

Sam Rourke

This looks a pretty interesting proposition, and any deal here will simply hinge on who Fulham put forward as part of the transfer.

If it was someone like Anthony Knockaert + £10m for Matty Cash, you'd surely have to accept a deal like that, with the Belgian proving to be a  top player in the second tier.

Cash for me, is worth £15m+ so Forest should be strong in their negotiations here and demand a player they want, one that would enhance their squad as they aim for promotion.

Aston Villa could hijack Fulham transfer deal for Nottingham Forest defender

The 23-year-old is heavily linked with a move away from the City Ground.

Fulham are said to be leading the race for Nottingham Forest defender, and reported Aston Villa target, Matty Cash.

The attacking-midfielder-turned-right-back have been heavily linked with a move away from the City Ground since the start of January with AC Milan linked with his services during the winter transfer window.

His impressive early-season performances saw Forest battling at the very top of the division but interest in landing his signature has remained - even after the club fell out of the play-off places on the final day of the season.

A report by the Telegraph claims that Villa have tried to land the defender who has also been approached by West Ham this summer.

But is it Fulham who are leading the way with a £10m bid expected to be made in the coming days, the report claims.

Sheffield United are already said to have failed with a bid of similar value and, should Fulham also stumble, Villa could be poised to hijack their move for the Forest academy graduate.

The Reds are said to be holding out for a £15m bid for the former Dagenham loanee.

Cash, 23, made 42 appearances last season for Sabri Lamouchi's side and was vital in their promotion push.

Report: Fulham planning to transform Parker's attack with £25m and £20m targets

Fulham are keen to sign two of last season's most exciting Championship attackers according to reports – Brentford's Ollie Watkins and former West Bromwich Albion loanee Grady Diangana.

Two years ago, the Cottagers embarked on a £100 million-plus summer splurge that will go down in history for all the wrong reasons.

But after the likes of Jean-Michel Seri, Andre-Franck Zambo Anguissa and Luciano Vietto flopped spectacularly in West London, Fulham appear to have learned from those most brutal of lessons.

After sealing their return to the Premier League, Scott Parker's side are now putting their focus on signing young, hungry, homegrown talent in the form of their lives.

Sky report that Watkins, a winger who was converted into a ruthless centre-forward and scored a career-best 26 goals in 2019/20, is on Fulham's radar.

Brentford want in excess of £25 million; a fee that would make him the Cottagers' record signing.

Diangana, valued at £20 million by parent club West Ham, will not come cheap either.

The England U21 international was perhaps the most thrilling winger in the Championship last season, producing eight goals and seven assists and bamboozling many a full-back with a perfectly executed swivel, swerve and even the odd seal dribble.

Brentford may have no choice but to sell Watkins after being consigned to anther season of second-tier football.

A deal for Diangana, however, could be much more of a challenge with West Ham boss David Moyes seeing this 22-year-old street footballer as a key part of his plans (Sun, 26 August, page 50).

Fulham still in talks over deal – Counter offer made by Cottagers

Milliyet report Galatasaray and Fulham are still negotiating an exchange deal involving Jean Michael Seri and Ryan Babel.

The Turkish newspaper report Gala have offered Babel so they can loan Seri from Fulham for one season, however, the London club are looking to sell their player permanently.

Subsequently the London club have made a counter-offer to the Super Lig side by requesting €7m for Seri, plus Babel.

Milliyet claim the Turkish side can't afford to pay €7m to Fulham because of their poor financial situation, and now they are looking at other ways to complete a deal for the player.

It's reported Gala are hoping to loan the player again and they are ready to wait until the end of the transfer window to make this happen.

Following Fulham's promotion to the Premier League there were reports Seri could stay at Craven Cottage, but it seems the Istanbul side are insistent on re-signing him.

Seri made 27 Turkish Super Lig appearances last season, scoring two goals. His contract with Fulham will expire at the end of June 2022.

Exclusive: Fulham set sights on signing £10m-valued Derby County star

Fulham have set their sights on signing Derby County rising star Jayden Bogle, Football Insider understands.

The newly-promoted Premier League club are looking to strengthen at right-back and the 20-year-old County ace is on their target lost.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Derby have set a £10million asking price on the product of their academy.

The youngster has attracted interest from Premier League clubs since breaking into the first team when Frank Lampard was in charge two seasons ago.

West Ham have also taken a close look at Bogle, who has already played 77 Championship matches despite only turning 20 a month ago.

Fulham are in the market for a right-back to add competition ahead of their Premier League return.

Bogle is highly regarded for his dynamism and is a full-back in the modern mould, who is a key creator for his side.

The England Under-20 international has already accumulated 17 assists as well as three goals from his 91 senior Derby appearances.

He was a mainstay of the starting XI under both Lampard and Phillip Cocu, whose side ended last season in a disappointing 10th position.

The previous campaign they had suffered play-off final heartache when beaten by Aston Villa at Wembley.

Bogle has two years left on his current contract at Derby and they could be tempted by an offer this summer that would allow Cocu to strengthen his squad elsewhere.

Report: Leeds ready to fight Fulham for the signature of Calum Chambers

Leeds United are close to signing Rodrigo from Valencia on a club-record deal, but the Whites are reportedly working on bolstering other areas as well.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are looking to bolster their defence as well, and Leeds are interested in signing Rob Holding from Arsenal. It seems the newly-promoted side are also asking about Holding's club team-mate, Calum Chambers.

Leeds have failed in their attempts to bring Ben White back to Elland Road after his loan spell last term, and are now exploring other options.

According to reports from TeamTalk, Leeds are stepping up their chase in the 25-year-old who is surplus to requirements at the Emirates.

The report claims that Chambers has been told by Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta that he is not in his long-term plans and is free to leave.

According to Graham Smyth of the YEP, Leeds are in talks to sign Freiburg's Robin Koch, and it appears that the Whites are keeping their options open.

And now teamtalk are reporting that the Whites have made contact with the Gunners over a potential move for Chambers.

Arsenal are willing to do business for £12 million. The report adds that Premier League rivals Fulham are also interested in Chambers who has made just over 100 appearances in the five seasons he spent at Arsenal.

Fulham plot raid on ex-Championship rival for creative outlet

Derby County starlet Jayden Bogle has fresh admirers from the Premier League in the form of newly-promoted Fulham.

Scott Parker is looking shape his defence ahead of a return to the Premier League and appears set on cherry-picking some top talent out of the Championship.

According to Football Insider, Fulham have eyes on Bogle, who has had a £10m price-tag slapped on him by Derby this summer.

The right-back burst onto the scene under Frank Lampard in 2018/19 and helped Derby reach the play-offs.

He was involved in the stunning semi-final win over Leeds, but was unable to help the Rams win promotion to the Premier League and was part of the side that lost to Aston Villa at Wembley.

In total, the 20-year-old featured on 43 occasions that season, scoring two goals and registering a further nine assists.

Despite the departure of Lampard and subsequent appointment of Phillip Cocu, Bogle's development hasn't stalled, with another 37 appearances in the season gone by.

There was another goal for the attack-minded right-back, whilst he also registered five assists as the Rams finished in mid-table.

The Verdict

Right-back was a problem position for Parker last season in the Championship. He had Cyrus Christie and Denis Odoi, who are two players with very different traits.

There's more comparison to be made between Bogle and Christie, but you can't deny the Derby man is a talent and, after losing Cody Drameh to Leeds United, there's a need to look at the long-term.

At 20, Bogle is a top player and will only get better.

It'd be £10m well spent. There's goals and assists in Bogle, as well as a decent defensive game.

Southampton and Fulham 'have just found agreement' for player's transfer – Will move 'barring unforeseen U-turn'

Loaned out to Galatasaray, Mario Lemina remains a Southampton player, where he is contracted until 2022.

However, Ralph Hasenhüttl doesn't appear to be a fan of the midfielder, which means his return to the club isn't all that welcome.

That's why a move away has been organised for the Gabon international, who is now expected to play at Fulham next season.

That's what France Football are reporting on Wednesday, claiming that 'barring an unforeseen U-turn', Lemina 'should play' for the Cottagers.

It's likely to be a full transfer for the former Marseille player, with the various parties 'having just found an agreement' for his move from Southampton to London.

That means he will be charged to help the newly promoted side remain in the Premier League, which they weren't able to do last time they were in the top-tier.

Moving to St Mary's from Juventus in 2017 for a fee of £15.5m, the 26-year-old made 52 appearances for the Saints during his stay there, scoring two goals and picking up two assists along the way.

Fulham set to complete £8m Harrison Reed transfer after successful loan spell last season

Southampton midfielder Harrison Reed is set to return to Fulham on a permanent transfer after a successful loan stint at Craven Cottage in 2019/20 ( Getty Images )

Fulham are set to complete the signing of midfielder Harrison Reed on a permanent deal from Southampton for £8million.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan with the club and became a key cog in Scott Parker's side as they gained promotion back to the Premier League with a play-off final win over London rivals Brentford.

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl was happy to keep Reed as part of his squad on the south coast, but could not offer the same secure position available at Craven Cottage.

The Saints announced their new list of first-team squad numbers for the season ahead on Tuesday, with Reed absent.

The agreement between the two clubs was said to be straightforward given that Fulham had an option to make the loan move permanent before it expired.

However, talks were delayed as Reed's representatives opened discussions with demands over his salary that were higher than expected.

There has been plenty of interest in the midfielder who made his Southampton debut back in 2013 but has spent the past three seasons away on loan, with a number of Premier League clubs keen as well as the three sides relegated to the Championship last season.

However, having gained promotion from the second tier in 2019/20, Reed wasn't too keen on a return to the Championship and feels ready for the top-flight.

Speaking to Standard Sport during Fulham's play-off campaign, Reed said: "I do [see myself in the Premier League next season]. I feel like my whole career I've been working towards being that.

"Sometimes you feel like you're ready but really if you look back on it, you're probably not. I feel like these three years, three seasons on loan learning off different managers and playing with different players and getting different experiences can only stand me in good stead.

"I'm working towards being a Premier League player and, hopefully, that comes next season."

Reed's arrival will add to the signing of young full-back Antonee Robinson, who joined Fulham from Wigan earlier this month.

Report: Fulham keen to sign Aston Villa target Grady Diangana

According to reports from The Sun, Fulham are interested in signing Grady Diangana from West Ham in the summer transfer window.

The Hammers are looking to keep hold of the 22-year-old winger who is valued at around £15m. However, West Ham also need to offload some of their players to raise the funds for new arrivals.

However, Fulham are not the only club looking to secure his signature. The report claims that the newly-promoted Premier League side West Brom are also keen.

Diangana spent the last season on loan at the Hawthorns, where managed to score eight goals for the Baggies as they secured promotion back to the top flight. He picked up seven assists as well.

According to a recent report from Football London, the Hammers won't entertain any permanent offers for the winger.

Fulham have been heavily linked with a move for Ollie Watkins, Matty Cash, and Calum Wilson in recent days, and it seems they're looking to add Diangana to their ranks.

Challenge from Aston Villa

Apparently, Dean Smith's Aston Villa are interested in signing Diangana as well.

Villa are looking to add pace and goals to their attack, and Diangana would be a fantastic signing for them.

Diangana would be looking to make an impact in the Premier League this season, and it remains to be seen whether he does so at West Ham or at another club.

Leicester eye Bryan as Chelsea sign Chilwell

Joe Bryan is among the potential replacements for Ben Chilwell being considered by Leicester.

Chelsea have completed the signing of England left-back Chilwell, 23, from the East Midlands club.

And Leicester have identified Bryan, 26, as a possible signing.

Bryan was Fulham's play-off final hero, with his two extra-time goals clinching victory over Brentford at Wembley and the Whites' return to the top flight.

He has made 78 appearances for Fulham since being signed from Bristol City two years ago.

Fulham recently signed left-back Antonee Robinson from Wigan.

Meanwhile, the Whites have made an approach for Brentford star Ollie Watkins and are also interested in Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson.

But they will miss out on QPR forward Ebere Eze, who is set to join Crystal Palace.

Fulham In Double Transfer Swoop On St Mary's

Saints fans will have mixed view on the news that Fulham are about to make a double swoop on the club, but the reality is both players have contributed little over the past few season, so from this perspective won't be missed.

The news that Fulham are said to have agreed an £8 million fee for Harrison Reed won't come as a shock to many, but when it seems that he will be joined by Mario Lemina, that will be a shock.

Reed has barely played for Saints in the last 5 years, not at all in the last 3 and in truth if he stayed at the club it would be hard to see who he would get in the side in front of, he is a tidy player but is he truly Premier League quality, some would say that he is, but he has barely played at that level and the last 5 Saints Managers have not seen anything that suggests he is better than what they had.

He needs a change of scenery and he is proven in the Championship, we will get a decent fee and get his wages off the books and we like him have to move on.

It is ironic that Lemina might be joining him, he is a player who is the opposite to Harrison Reed, whereas Reed is a hard worker and model pro and deserves all the success he gets whether it is at Saints or elsewhere, Lemina has undoubted talent, but has a poor attitude and would rather be a squad player and take the money, than push himself to his limits and become a solid professional.

Like most clubs he goes to the fans will see some good performances and initially he will look a bargain, but he cannot apply himself for long and it will soon become apparent just why he has had so many clubs and that turning 27 next week he has only started 106 league games plus 44 as sub spanning 5 clubs and 7 years, ironically Saints being his most productive period and we all know that wasn't exactly a raging success.

A good weeks work for Saints that even if they have to sell Lemina at half the fee they paid for him will be a case of freeing up a lot of wages, if Saints pull in £16 million for the pair they will also free up around £85 k a week, that will finance another good signing.

Of course we might see them both great successes next season, that is a chance we have to take, but Lemina in particular failed to turn his talent into consistency and given that neither have played for us recently this deal represents good business.

Report: Fulham reach agreement with Southampton for Mario Lemina

Fulham have moved into pole position to sign Mario Lemina, with Foot Mercato reporting that they have reached an agreement for the Southampton midfielder.

Lemina's future has looked set to lie away from St Mary's for some time. The Gabon international spent last season on loan at Galatasaray.

Foot Mercato has suggested that Gala would like to keep the 26-year-old. However, it appears that he is on course to remain in the Premier League next season.

According to the report, Fulham have reached an agreement with the Saints over a potential move for the former Juventus man.

It would appear that personal terms still need to be discussed with the player.

TBR View: Southampton need to strengthen should Lemina leave

In truth, it is difficult to imagine Lemina playing for Hasenhuttl's men again. Despite his ability, he has arguably not shown anywhere near enough since his £18.1 million move (fee reported by BBC Sport) to justify getting into the team ahead of some of his teammates.

But his departure should still act as a catalyst for a move to bring a midfielder in. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has already left, and Scott Parker also has the opportunity to make Harrison Reed's loan permanent (via London Evening Standard).

They are therefore, looking set to be a little light in the middle of the park. So the supporters may be hoping that Lemina's potential exit is swiftly following by the arrival of a new signing.

Fulham in double Southampton swoop with Mario Lemina set to follow Harrison Reed to Craven Cottage

Fulham are closing in on a deal to sign Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina on loan.

The move comes with the Cottagers also set to complete the permanent signing of Lemina's Saints team-mate Harrison Reed, who spent last season on loan at Craven Cottage.

Lemina, who signed for Southampton from Juventus in 2017, spent last season on loan at Turkish side Galatasaray and is one of the many players the south coast side are keen to get off their books.

Southampton were eager to sell Lemina and clear his wages for good, but no clubs have appeared to want to meet the asking price, which stands at around £10million.

Galatasaray were looking to orchestrate a deal but lacked the necessary funds, while Crystal Palace were offered the chance to sign the 26-year-old but decided against a move.

It is understood the deal includes an obligation to buy should Fulham remain in the Premier League come the end of the 2020-21 season.

Fulham have already completed the signing of young full-back Antonee Robinson from Wigan, and are pushing hard to bolster their squad for a return to the Premier League.

The club have, however, assured supporters that their spending this summer will not result in the squad that earned them promotion being pulled apart or pushed aside, as was the case two years ago.

Fulham plot triple Premier League swoop as they target Arsenal and West Ham aces

Fulham boss Scott Parker is ready to add to the signing of defender Antonee Robinson by bringing in a trio of Premier League players following their promotion from the Championship

Fulham are eyeing up a triple swoop for Mario Lemina, Emile Smith Rowe and Grady Diangana.

Cottagers boss Scott Parker wants to reinforce his newly-promoted squad and sees all three players as good options.

Midfielder Lemina, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, is up for sale after being told he has no future at Southampton.

And Fulham are in pole position to land the 26-year-old, who has two years left on his contract, ahead of Besiktas.

Arsenal starlet Smith Rowe is also firmly on Fulham's radar for a season-long loan.

The Gunners have already knocked back an enquiry from Monaco for the 20-year-old, but he is open to a move to Fulham.

Leeds are also interested in Smith Rowe but Fulham are leading the race for the forward, who spent last season on loan at Huddersfield.

West Ham winger Diangana is also a Fulham target but the Hammers do not want to sell the 22-year-old.

Diangana had a successful spell on loan at West Brom last season and the Baggies want him back on a permanent basis.

But David Moyes has high hopes for the England Under 21 ace and has told him he will get games at London Stadium this season.

Report: Fulham planning £10m bid for 'fantastic' talent; Cottagers player offered as makeweight

Premier League newcomers Fulham are set to make a £10 million player-plus-cash deal to sign Nottingham Forest right-back Matty Cash, according to the Telegraph.

As Sheffield United will tell you, Forest are not looking to Cash in on Matty any time soon, despite being consigned to another season of Championship football.

The Blades saw a £10 million bid rejected last month with the two-time European champions making it clear that their rampaging right-back would not be leaving the City Ground for a penny less than £15 million.

But maybe Fulham can twist their arm.

The Telegraph reports that the play-off winners are planning a bid that would see £10 million arrive in Forest's coffers and a new player enter Sabri Lamouchi's squad.

It remains to be seen who Fulham will offer as a makeweight and there are certainly a few players at Scott Parker's disposal who would walk into Forest's starting XI.

Take Alfie Mawson for example; a commanding and classy central defender who looks the ideal replacement for the exit-linked Joe Worrall at the City Ground.

Experienced full-back Cyrus Christie is another potential option and a ready-made replacement for Cash to boot.

The report adds that Aston Villa and West Ham are rivalling Sheffield United for the signature of a converted winger, although Fulham are currently in pole position for Cash's signature.

"He's a fantastic player," former Cottagers midfielder Jamie O'Hara told talkSPORT (6 August, 11:00am).

"He's a good player and he will play in the Premier League. I did think the likes of Sheffield United and Burnley, that type, he would be right up their street because he's very good physically, he's good on the ball.

"So I'm not surprised to see him linked with some very good Premier League clubs."

Chelsea Academy Product Jordan Aina Continues Showing Off His Skills To Fulham

English Premier League newcomers Fulham are still running the rule over Nigerian fullback Jordan Aina, the younger brother of Super Eagles fullback Ola Aina, with a view to a possible transfer in the summer transfer window, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Jordan Aina participated in Fulham U23s second pre-season friendly, a 2-0 loss to Brighton & Hove.

The 2001-born defender was named in the starting lineup for the second consecutive game played by the young Cottagers in pre-season.

Aina covered himself in glory in his first game for Fulham, helping the London team keep a clean sheet in a 5-0 rout of Reading FC 5-0 at Bearwood Park last Saturday.

He will be spending the new season at a new club following the end of his contract with Chelsea, where he spent close to a decade having joined the club at U9 level.

Fulham U23s are coached by a Nigerian, Colin Omogbehin, who played a key role in the development of Victor Moses at Crystal Palace.

Report: Leeds target open to joining Premier League rivals, who now lead race

Fulham are leading Leeds United in the race to sign the Arsenal midfielder, Emile Smith-Rowe, according to The Daily Star.

Both sides were linked with moves for Smith-Rowe earlier this week, despite Arsenal having reportedly 'knocked back an enquiry from Monaco'.

But Leeds appear to be facing an uphill battle to land the former Huddersfield loanee, whom it's claimed is 'open to a move to Fulham'.

Smith-Rowe grew up in London, albeit in the south of England's capital, and the chance to stay there could have a significant bearing on any decision with which he is faced.

The 20-year-old can play anywhere across the middle third of the pitch, including out wide. But it is in a central role that he starred for Huddersfield last season, scoring or making five goals in 19 Championship games.

Leeds have been strongly linked with a move for Ryan Kent of Rangers, and Smith-Rowe would, on paper, be a decent alternative if Kent cannot be prised from Ibrox.

Fulham, who came up behind Leeds last season, are also in pole position to sign the Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina and want the West Ham winger Grady Diangana, according to The Daily Star.

Fulham eyeing Bogle bid

Fulham are interested in signing Derby County full-back Jayden Bogle, according to reports this afternoon.

The Football Insider claims that the young Rams right back is Scott Parker's number one target as the Whites seek to strengthen their defence before their return to the Premier League next month. Other reports have suggested that the Londoners are looking to land the Nottingham Forest defender Matty Cash and have been preparing a £10m offer, with plans to send a Fulham player to the City Ground as part of the deal.

Bogle, who was released by Reading aged fourteen, was handed a senior debut by Frank Lampard in a 2-0 win over Oldham in the League Cup in August 2018. He went on to make 50 first-team appearances that year, scoring two goals, as Derby missed out on promotion when they lost in the play-off final to Aston Villa. The 20 year-old has become one of the Championship's most consistent full-backs and 37 league appearances for the Rams as they finished six points behind sixth-placed Swansea in tenth despite a revival in the second half of the season that briefly hinted at making the play-offs.

Bogle, who has been capped by England at under-20 level, has previously interested West Ham, Crystal Palace and Brighton but Derby rebuffed several suitors by slapping a £10m valuation on the defender during the January transfer window. The youngster's pace and sense of adventure make him a modern full-back in every sense and, with two years remaining on his current deal at Pride Park, Derby could drive a hard bargain if Fulham are serious about concluding a deal for this highly-rated prospect.

Fulham + Leeds in for Chambers transfer this summer

Fulham and Leeds United are both showing an interest in signing Calum Chambers from Arsenal this summer, according to reports.

Earlier this week, Goal reported that Calum Chambers could leave Arsenal this summer, and Fulham are one of the clubs with an interest in him.

Chambers spent time at Craven Cottage on loan in 2018/19, and the recently-promoted side are keen to bring him back.

TEAMtalk also name Fulham as a side with an interest in Chambers. They claim the Cottagers recently spoke to Arsenal about a potential move. They add that Leeds are in the same position, holding initial discussions with the Gunners over a move.

As per the most recent Arsenal update, Chambers is continuing with running drills and light ball work as he recovers from his ACL injury.

The club aren't putting an exact timetable on his recovery yet. They're reporting that he's aiming for a return to full training 'as soon as possible' in 2020.

You'd think he's close enough now to undergo the necessary medical tests to complete a transfer, though. You don't have to be fully fit to do so, as we saw with Kieran Tierney last summer.

Chambers was playing well before his injury last season, but if Arsenal have the chance to offload one or two centre-backs for decent money, they shouldn't really hesitate. They have more than enough in the squad already.

Report: Fulham and Leeds interested in Emile Smith Rowe

According to reports from The Mirror (transfer live blog, 14.49), newly-promoted Premier League side Fulham are keen to sign Arsenal starlet Emile Smith Rowe this summer.

The report claims that the Cottagers want to take the 20-year-old prospect on a season-long loan. They are hoping to offer him regular Premier League games.

There have been interest from Monaco to sign the forward who was part of the England under-17s World Cup-winning squad in 2017. However, the Gunners have knocked back their approach.

Smith Rowe went on loan to Huddersfield last season, and chances are high that he would be sent on loan again. However, he is extremely highly-rated at Arsenal, and the Gunners would want him to play for a Premier League club.

Fulham, however, are not alone in the race to sign the young forward. The report claims that Leeds and Crystal Palace have also shown interest.

The London club are pushing hard to sign him as they look to try and bolster their squad following promotion to the top flight.

Another youngster to join Leeds?

While Marcelo Bielsa's side are working hard on bringing in proven quality to bolster the first-team, the Whites have done really well to bolster their youth setup.

Leeds have already signed Dani van den Heuvel (17) from Ajax, Codey Drameh (18) from Fulham, Joe Gelhardt (18) from Wigan and Charlie Allen (16) from Linfield. They are also interested in signing Sam Greenwood from Arsenal.

It remains to be seen whether Leeds can sign both the players from the same club in the next few days.

Fulham 'agree Lemina fee'

Fulham have agreed a fee with Southampton for their Gabonese midfielder Mario Lemina, according to France Football.

The 26 year-old has spent the last season on loan with Galatarasay, where he made twenty appearances alongside Jean Michael Seri as Fatih Terim's finished a disappointing sixth in the table. The Turkish club were keen to try and land Lemina on a permanent deal, but the same financial considerations that have dogged their pursuit of Seri made this impossible. Lemina arrived at St. Mary's from Juventus in August 2017 for a club-record fee believed to be more than £15m but has struggled to showcase his full potential with the Saints, making 52 appearances in two seasons and scoring two goals.

He had been in and out of a powerful Juventus side that won back-to-back doubles during his time in Italy and came through the Lorient academy set-up before making the move to Marseilles in 2013. Lemina has won eighteen senior caps for Gabon, scoring three goals, having switched allegiances to the land of his birth after helping the French under-20 side win the World Cup back in 2013.

Fulham are also close to completing the capture of Saints midfielder Harrison Reed, who spent last season on loan at Craven Cottage, with a permanent deal said to be imminent.

UPDATE: Various reports now suggesting that the Lemina deal will be an initial loan, with an option to buy, if it goes through.

Fulham reportedly close in on deals for Saints duo Mario Lemina and Harrison Reed

FULHAM are closing in on the signings of Saints duo Mario Lemina and Harrison Reed, according to the Evening Standard.

Reed spent last season on loan at the Cottagers, helping them clinch promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-off final at Wembley.

And the 25-year-old looks set to make that move permanent for a reported fee of £8million.

Fulham had an option to sign Reed during his loan spell, but the Standard claim the deal took longer to complete with the midfielder's wage demands "higher than expected".

And boss Scott Parker is also said to be interested in adding Lemina to his ranks.

The Gabon international, who signed for Saints for £16million from Juventus in 2017, spent last season out on loan at Galatasaray and has not been assigned a squad number at St Mary's for this campaign.

The deal for Lemina, 26, to join Fulham is said to be an initial loan move, which could turn permanent next summer should the west London side stay in the Premier League.

Arsenal star one of three players that London rivals want to sign

Emile Smith Rowe has emerged as a summer target for Fulham.

The Premier League new boys want to avoid a repeat of the last time that they were in the Premier League when they went down after just a single season in the English top flight.

They have now returned and manager Scott Parker is determined to ensure that they stay longer this time.

The former Premier League midfielder will be backed to bolster his team this summer in a bid to maintain their top-flight status at the end of next season.

Star Sport claims that the Cottagers are eyeing a move for Arsenal's Smith Rowe alongside, Grady Diangana of West Ham and Mario Lemina of Southampton.

Smith Rowe is highly rated at Arsenal and he spent the second half of the last campaign at Huddersfield Town.

He impressed in his time with the Terriers and he is now hoping to earn a place in Mikel Arteta's first team in the coming season.

Arsenal's plan for him seems to have been confirmed after the Gunners knocked back an attempt to sign him from Monaco recently, but the report claims that he will be interested in moving across town to Fulham.

The Premier League new boys have activated their £8m option to sign anchorman Reed from the south coast club following their promotion to the top flight.

And Lemina is set to move to Craven Cottage on loan for an initial £2m fee, with an obligation for Fulham to buy him if they stay up.

Midfielder Reed has spent the season on loan at play-off final winners Fulham from Southampton.

Fulham manager Scott Parker is looking to bolster his squad after promotion to the top flight

Southampton have been looking for a buyer for Gabon midfielder Lemina for some time.

They were hoping to recoup at least £10m for him having spent £15.4m to sign him from Juventus in 2017.

But with no club prepared to meet their asking price he spent last season on loan at Galatasary and will now head to top flight new boys Fulham.

Fulham reportedly 'favourites' for Cash, but Sheffield United have leverage with Freeman

Fulham are now the "favourites" to sign Nottingham Forest's Matty Cash, according to the Telegraph, in a £10m-plus-player deal.

Sheffield United have already had a £10m offer for Cash rejected themselves, with Forest holding out for £15m.

Yet the newly promoted Cottagers believed they can tempt the Reds into an agreement by offering them a member of their squad as a makeweight.

The report doesn't mention which player they are ready to send in the opposite direction to Cash.

West Ham United have also held a long-term interest in the 23-year-old. Meanwhile, Aston Villa have recently joined the chase as well.

For the Blades, who have already lost out on Antonee Robinson to Fulham this summer, this won't come as good news.

Why they could still beat Fulham to Cash
All is not lost at Bramall Lane just yet, however, as the South Yorkshire side could also use their own player to sweeten the deal. Not only that, but it is someone they know Forest want.

That is because Sun journalist, Alan Nixon, says the Championship club are still keen on signing Luke Freeman. This is a pursuit that dates back to the January transfer window, when the Reds first showed interest in Freeman.

Now Nixon claims the Blades could be prepared for the midfielder to leave on loan. Perhaps Freeman could be used as their own makeweight in the Cash deal, gazumping Fulham in the process?

The only issue for manager Chris Wilder would be losing another member of what is already a depleted squad. Five players have left as free agents this summer. Dean Henderson and Richairo Zivkovic have also returned to their parent sides after loans.

The only new additions so far are both goalkeepers, with Aaron Ramsdale joining from Bournemouth and Wes Foderingham secured on a free transfer.

Yet if it could help land Cash, Wilder might be open to letting Freeman go the other way.

Report: Fulham reach agreement for Mario Lemina

According to reports from Foot Mercato, newly-promoted Premier League club Fulham are in pole position to sign Mario Lemina this summer.

The Cottagers are looking to make several new additions to their squad ahead of the new season, and have earmarked Lemina as a potential option.

In fact, the London club have already reached an agreement with Southampton to secure the signature of the 26-year-old midfielder.

Lemina is not in Ralph Hasenhuttl's first-team plans, and his future has looked set to lie away from St Mary's for some time.

The Gabon international spent last season on loan at Galatasaray. The Turkish club is looking to keep hold of Lemina beyond the summer, but it looks like Fulham are winning the race for his signature.

It seems that Fulham need to agree personal terms with the former Juventus man, but it won't be a huge issue.

Lemina joined the Saints with a lot of promise but he failed to live up to the expectations at the club.

Fulham are also looking to bolster their attacking areas this summer, and are targetting Ollie Watkins from Brentford.

They are also reportedly interested in signing Callum Wilson from Bournemouth.

Also, the London outfit are close to signing Matty Cash from Nottingham Forest as well.

Arsenal fans react to Calum Chambers reports amid Leeds interest

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from TEAMtalk this week claiming that Mikel Arteta is ready to let Calum Chambers leave amid interest from Leeds United and Fulham.

Chambers has been sidelined since the second-half of last season due to injury. He had been impressive before picking up the injury, but he has arguably proved to be difficult to rely upon.

The former Southampton man has made just over 100 appearance across the five seasons he has been a part of Arsenal's squad.

And TEAMtalk reports that Arteta has informed Chambers that he is not in his plans. The Gunners want £12 million for the 25-year-old.

The report noted that Leeds and Fulham are keen on signing Chambers, with the former making contact with Arsenal over a potential move.

Interestingly, it appears that plenty of Arsenal fans are not happy about the reports. Several have taken to social media to insist that Chambers should be worth a lot more.

A handful have claimed that he should cost £25 million. And others are clearly convinced that he is one of the fringe players that the club should keep during this window.

Arteta has not got a lot wrong since taking over at the Emirates. But it would appear that a number of supporters believe that this could prove to be an error if Chambers is allowed to join the likes of Leeds or Fulham.

Here is how some of the Arsenal supporters have reacted to the reports...

We bought Chambers for £16m so I wouldn't take anything less than £25m for him.

I'd personally keep Chambers because he was our best CB before his injury and can play multiple positions.

    — Chris (@BoomXhakaLaca19) August 26, 2020

12 million are you kidding me he is easily worth 25 million

    — jay madan (@jaymadan) August 26, 2020

    Wow... Not good

    — Kieran Martinelli🌪️AFC🔥 (@4rmDavesCave) August 26, 2020

Chambers is better than Holding and Mustafi and Mari. What is going on 😂 https://t.co/0U2iSBeeFz

    — 🥩 (@fullnamedaniel) August 26, 2020

I'll rather keep Calum than holding tbh https://t.co/xQf5GeoO3S

    — J 👑 #18th (@JiggaJ243) August 26, 2020

Chambers really did well at Arsenal sad to see him leave.
But it for the best. https://t.co/qsSoQ8gpI0

    — Maya (@Nehemiahmusa11) August 26, 2020

£12m 🥴 he's English and can play multiple positions should be around £25m

    — Rob (@afcROB9) August 26, 2020

    Worth more than 12m surely?

Wes Foderingham an ex-Fulham trainee and local lad. Good to see him doing well. Wonder if they would be interested in his almost namesake Mark Fotheringham too?  :005:
