Still needs to improve, but put himself about a bit more today.
Him and both cav. They were worthy of their selection today. Need more of it if they keep getting the nod though.
I actually really enjoyed his performance today. Showing those signs of real class and showed he won't be bullied by the lieks of professional bully, Hojberg so really encouraging. Now just needs to find that match sharpness in front of goal!
Yes he did well, very comfortable on the ball and overall great team performance
Agree, made some good runs. Shame he can't play the next game.
He seems to pick up his feet against the better teams.
ok but just seems a bit flimsy when it matters. Frustrating as you can see there is a big player ready to burst out
Thought he did really well, was a shame lookmans pass was over hit as I would of fancied him to score
Yes. Good performance tonight. He is improving every game. Still needs a tad more pace.
I think (and have said often on here) that I think he's been decent. His positional sense is first class, he holds the ball up well and brings players into play.
He's clearly at 60-70% which is wholly down to fitness and injury concerns. He loses the ball, misplaces passes. But so does everyone. But he doesn't seem to get away with it.
Much stronger with him on pitch than without and the great news is, there's lots more to come
He started further up the pitch tonight filli g in early in the false 9 position and thought he was strong at times
I don't see what those on this thread see. To say he played better (which he did) is to damn him with faint praise. For all the stick Cairney gets, he has a set of skills that are useful to the team (close control, quick passing, keeps possession). In contrast, I cannot identify what L-C brings, apart from his reputation and an occasional run that invariably results in a disappointing finish. If the complaint against Cairney is his defense (assuming that it is as important in a forward role as it was when he was deeper at the start of the season), how is L-C an improvement? At the end of the game, he was literally strolling around the field when Fulham was protecting the draw. If the complaint is that Cairney makes the easy pass, identify one pass by L-C that has been progressive, bar one cross when he was in acres of space. L-C is weak in the air, particularly for someone as big as he is; that pathetic header deep in the Fulham half today almost cost Fulham a goal. I suspect if L-C were a Romanian international rather than English, he would get half the respect he gets on this board. He has had plenty of opportunity to get his bearings or get in shape. What you see is what you are probably getting. Initially, I was as excited as the next guy when he was signed, but today I was thrilled to see Onomah.
Thought he was just the same as in his previous games.
He is slow in decision making, fragile in a challenge and looks of the pace and not fit.
Most elite players have something in their locker that they are very good at
I don't see him being very good at anything.
Thought he was okay in glimpses. Lacked effort and urgency on other occasions and worst was the lazy passes and header backwards in dangerous positions gifting them opportunities which could have been avoided. Would add that I thought he was running in newly poured concrete at the end and it was as if we had 10 men on the pitch.
Said previously, he's the sort of player I can see Parker getting the best out of, sooner or later. Young English midfielder.
I thought the whole team did it today. I certainly would not be slagging any individual when you call yourself a supporter. People expect too much of players. Some have excellent natural ability others have to work at it.
Ruben is improving, he has a presence that gives other players more confidence, and the best is yet to come, and a lot quicker that some may imagine. Shame he cannot play against Chelsea, and I expect Chelsea are relieved.
He nearly scored a great goal too, one that required a lot of skill - the cross just behind him, he caught it on the half volley, and almost put it just inside the post, beyond the keeper, when so many shots are straight at the keeper and easy to save.
He was involved in quite a few potential scoring moves.
He did better for sure and was an important cog in a combative performance from the team without setting the world alight....he needs to continue to show more, but that's an encouraging sign if improvement....theres definitely a player in there, hes proven it before...let's hope as with Josh Onomah last year...suddenly it clicks for him
Not seeing it. Perhaps my bias developed from watching him up until this match is shading things but I went back and watched the match a second time and Really Lost Cause loses the ball far too often and compared to so many of our other players doesn't put in a shift. If we can find someone better and are able to send him back I'm in.
COYW!
But he's shown that he can do things others can't.
I think these moments are becoming more frequent and showing the thoroughbred player there, which we are starting to get.
Hope you are right. If SP is going to (or has too per the loan) play him this much we need greater productivity.
COYW!

Last night he was excellent and drove forward with the ball. It was the LRC of old completely and he showed he can get back to that.
For me, he's still too static at times, at times he's behind the play, maybe it will take more time
The whole side is getting better and we can now consider ourselves to look like a team that can climb the table and finish in a respectable place. Arguably the best performance of the season after Leicester.

I think with RLC it's just taking time to adapt to:
1) his new team mates and being aware of their running patterns
2) playing an unfamiliar tactical shape
There were great signs that he was getting in the gaps between the Spurs defence & midfield and starting to look threatening.
Was unlucky with his attempt in the first half, and maybe would have scored in the second if Lookman's ball wasn't slightly overhit
