The weaker teams. By all means play it against Man U as it works well against the bigger teams that come at us. But against the weaker teams in games where we should be trying to win from the out set, we need more going forwards. We have bloody good defenders now so isn't it time to trust them. Surely a back four of tete anderson tosin Robinson, with areola in goal and one of reed/lemina protecting them should be good enough to keep our relegation rivals out. This means we can add an extra creative player to help us try and score a goal, our Achilles heel of late. We have to presume that the mythical striker who is going to come in and save us won't be happening anytime soon, so we have to surely try something different to just try and get some different results on the pitch.
Parker won't do that Ben.
He's played the same way since and inclusive of the Leicester game.
I agree that we need to change it up against those sort of sides but unfortunately can't see it happening.
I think the system works but we need to put the ball in the net, several missed opportunities would have yielded points and we would be closer to safety.
Putting one of the Ks on at half time would have shaken things up. He subs too little, too late.

This was my thoughts too, I think the lack of changes contributed to us losing the game. Players were running on empty, especially Zambo. Onomah looked very rusty/out of sorts after coming on though which was a concern.

yes I said that at half time, that we should swap out aina for Bryan and stick kamara up top. But he didn't and we lost, and we can never get that back now. But he still has a chance to try and do something different going forwards. More of the same going forwards will not magically materialise into different results. We are not unlucky to not be winning games, we are just solid draw specialists.
5 on defense and 3 during attacks, that's how it's been for the past while now, BDR was RWB and is our top scorer, Robinson always go down the left side, odd that you don't see that.
All we are lacking atm is a good pacey striker, BDR is to small, Cav is a winger, Kamara is a late match trouble maker, Lookman is more of a provider imo

thats how it works in theory. but the 5 at the back is still a five at the back if we break quickly. and like wise, if the other team break quickly then its only 3 at the back. plus we know for a fact that it just isnt working.and yes we need that fast striker, but we dont have one, which is why we need to change it up imo.
We are actually playing 3 at the back with 2 wing backs who get forward alot and score goals, but dont tell anybody. We get plenty of players forward at pace and can now threaten on the counter. We are doing this against top sides . Leminas inclusion will mean frank can push more forward too. There are not that many other players outside the players getting game time who can play with that tempo or rate of intensity.
Our one poorer performance of late was against Brighton,in which we still ground out a draw.

i disagree with that. weve been poor in attack in most games of late. and full backs can still get forwards in a back 4, just they have an extra attacking option to aim for if they do get a cross in
