Title: Tosin In The Telegraph
Post by: filham on February 27, 2021, 04:07:06 PM
Full page article in Telegraph Sport today on Tosin which includes a chart showing that since Dec.13 only Man.City have conceded less goals than us in the premier league.
The article also says that the transfer fee for Tosin was £2m, wow what a bargain that was.

Yes of course we should keep him but with the way he has played this season the big boys will soon be knocking on the Cottage door with attractive offers that he will find hard to resist.

I think it should be noted that he's part of a very good back 5 in general and no one player from that back five should be singled out for being the reason why we've had a good defence. I have seen stats that say he's a leading light in clearances, but also note his height difference is significant to most opposition players (which doesn't hurt).

What has been great to read recently is there are a few articles that have come out quoting Areola, Andersen and Tosin as all enjoying being at the club, being ambitious and also expressing an interest in staying here (Tosin obviously already locked in)... It's a big if though as we're currently being relegated and with newcastle's draw yesterday we're not getting out of the relegation places this weekend, even with a win against a well drilled palace side, who undo teams on the counter-attack.

It's going to be touch and go. We've got a lot of tough games coming up, which we really have to force the results and ourselves on to get the much needed wins - Spurs, Man City, Chelsea etc.. Time to ramp up the effort levels now. Can't rest on the laurels of a iffy win against Sheffield Utd and a draw against burnley, no matter how well we played against Everton. We have to ensure that form is consistent no matter the opposition.

Excellent addition - seems to learning hugely from playing alongside Anderson
