Title: The Overseas FoFers Thread
Post by: White Noise on December 12, 2010, 10:21:09 PM
Someone mentioned recently that it would be good to see how many overseas based supporters are on FoF. As there is now way of analysing that at the moment perhaps you could sign in on this thread if you are based outside the UK and lets us know the country and city you are in. Thanks.  :down_under:

I guess for the purposes of this thread that doesn't count though.

Nor the fact that for this week I will be in San Francisco (Pleasanton, to be exact).

Fascinating stuff. Thanks WhiteJC.

Do those figures represent different individuals? For instance - are there two people in the Isle of Man in that period or has manxman been on twice?

Who is our man in Bolivia I wonder?

I think these are different people, google doesn't explain how the figures are gathered however, I can "zoom in" on countries, and from there zoom in on towns/cities. When I do this for Reading (where I live) it tells me that there have been 16 visits, I know that at least one other (theDoctor) lives in this area, I also know that I've made more than 16 visits to the site.
It also tells me that 25% were "new visits", this indicates that it only counts visits as individuals?

Thanks for that. That does make it interesting. 349 Americans on here! And 22 Germans - who knew?? Its great to see.

Sadly tjl has not looked in on here since September 9th. Much missed. Do we know if they have had much snow on Sark?

@ White JC. Google Analytics normally makes use of the IP address. If you have a fluctuating one, that is counted twice. I have one at work and several at home, so Belgium: 6 is probably me.

Nay, it has to be me. I want to be the exclusive Belgian here.

If Belgium splits surely Flanders will be the dominant power. From memory about 58 percent of the population are Flemish. Thus you will have the power to rule and may I say Mr Sipwell you would do a fine job, :020:

Belgium hardly wins anything at Olympics. We create new sports just to have a world champion once in a while. If Belgium were to split, I would even have less chances of cheering for a "world champion". That's why I want to be either Brit or French ;-)

Moreover:
1) I live in Brussels and that is a conflict territory (especially, like me, if you are a Dutch speaker)
2) Belgium will not split.

You are the one who raised the possibility of Belgium splitting - all I was doing was attempting to put a positive spin on it for you.
What Belgium needs is a Flemish equivalent to Che Guevara and I know the very person who is holed up in a house in Vilvoorde. Have no worries Mr Sipwell - when the revolution comes I shall put in a good word for you. :dft010:

This is a wonderful message / forum board. It is one of my favorite sites to visit and learn everything Fulham. I haven't posted in quite some time but been following Fulham for the past 4 years.

All of the posters are great here from moderators, legends, etc.  .... to the youth (scrubs) like myself.

Great site and cool survey question.  Central Texas USA "reporting in...". I hail from Austin TX US (near land of Dempsey).

This is a wonderful message / forum board. It is one of my favorite sites to visit and learn everything Fulham. I haven't posted in quite some time but been following Fulham for the past 4 years.

All of the posters are great here from moderators, legends, etc.  .... to the youth (scrubs) like myself.

:drums:

Welcome from the slums just down I35. Don't really have more to say, but I couldn't read your entire handle without hitting reply. Glad you're having fun here. Don't be shy.

I'm from Northolt which is consistantly the hottest place in England in the summer, so it's sort of like being abroad  :008:, and the estates here make it look like Bagdad  :002:

In the overseas FOFers thread, unlikely! Maybe London, Canada?

What ever did happen to Mr TJL?

Perhaps all the sheep racing on Sark finally did him in.

Or perhaps he was kidnapped by the French.

Can't remember if I've already answered, but I'm in Adelaide, South Australia, and in the web version of the local paper yesterday, in comments on the Fulham v Liverpool match, there were two other from Adelaide who posted pro Fulham comments.  "Colin" and "Red Grant".  Who could they be? Anyone know?

One of the things I love about this forum is the way some threads tilt and ride on the black and white tide of FoF. Just when you've forgotten about a topic, somebody blows the dust off it , gives it airing and we give it another run around the block.

Yes I'm a yankee from Connecticut, duh. My ancestors left England about 370 years ago and moved here. FFC is my fav team and friends of FFC is one of my fav places to visit (a few times) each day. I enjoy every one of you, but like HatterDon's recaps the most.

Not difficult to guess from my handle! People say Malta but the Gozitans hate being called Maltese and generally dislike the Malts anyway.

I know of at least 2 other Ex-pats on this rock who are FFC and I did give a Gozitan friend's son a FFC shirt which he promised to wear to school. :wine:

Gold River, California, just outside of Sacramento.  Next to the American River, which is downstream from Sutter's Mill (site of the original California gold discovery), thus the name.

I like to think myself as an honorary Gozitian, having been there for the last 3 summers and a couple of times before, and having supped a glass or two of Cisk with Mr Gozorich whilst watching our abject 2-0 defeat to Wolves at the sports bar by the national stadium.

Other than that, Thames Ditton in darkest Surrey probably doesn't qualify for overseas status so I'll butt out of this thread!
