Title: All away wins today in the EPL

Please!

I'd take a Sheff U win over Southampton who are in freefall.  Southampton have taken 1 point from their last 5 games, and only 4 points from their last 10.  The more teams in a relegation scrap the better.

No!!! Home win for Sheffield United please!

Don't think we'll catch Wolves in a million years but you never know, and they're closer to us than Villa, so home win in that fixture too please if I'm being picky

It has to be a Sheffield United home win !!
Thank you.

Apologies, didn't realise Southampton were in such a perilous position so definitely a Sheffield United home win!  Can't see us catching Wolves and it goes against the grain to be rooting for Villa unless absolutely necessary!!

We can only realistically catch Newcastle and Brighton possibly although I think they will get out of it.

After Thursdays travesty I suspect the results this weekend will go against us. Depressing thought.

Penalty for Arsenal for handball, surely? His hand was miles away from his body.

I'm at the point where the game is just corrupt. Even Peter Walton is confused why that isnt a penalty. I can't believe that many decisions are given so Inconsistently that it isn't corrupt. They literally have a rule book and videos to watch to come to correct decision and they can't even get that right. It's corrupt.

I don't know what's more disgusting, the penalty decision or that finish from a record signing. That's disgraceful for a professional.

That's why a mediocre team like Burnley survives year after year. We are so superior to their squad it's embarrassing (in my opinion), but they get the rub of the green with everything.

Refereeing has really gone to the dogs hasn't it. That he gives a penalty and sending off....and VaR saves them again. Disgraceful to the game this.

Burnley getting a full seasons worth of decisions here. Penalty and a red card overruled by VAR. A late winner would top things off nicely for them.

I think refs are scared of some managers,  eg Dyche, Mourinho, Klopp, Allardyce, and these mangers set out to intimidate the refs as part of their game plan, especially Dyche and big Sam.

Nail on head, if we go down it will be due to the late signings including lack of preparation by the part time absent D of F.

I'd like Arsenal, Wolves, Villa, Southampton, and Leeds to all be comfortably mid table when they play us. Could be 10 - 12 points available if their motivations are low. Really believe if the club can get to 38 points, we will stay up.

My opinion on Burnley is the same now as it was after we played them. They know they're not going to beat any other PL side at "football" so their aim is to take football out the equation. Reminds of that Gazza story about Vinnie Jones saying to him in the tunnel before a match "I can't play football, and today, neither can you." Burnley's MO is to reduce the contest to one that will be won or lost based on luck, a bad decision from the ref or a player's mistake. That's exactly what they did today.

With that said, them getting 1 pt won't save them. I expect them to pick up points and we just need to pick up more if we're to catch them.

On the other hand, a win for Southampton today probably puts them out of reach realistically. Sigh...

Parker is of course right to concentrate full on our results and not to worry about the results of those around usand lets hpe we can somehow pull a point away from Liverpool tomorrow.
However we are adrift in the relegation zone and we now need others to slip up from time to time.
We needed an Arsenal win earlier, that draw was a disappointment. We now need Leicester to give Brighton a good hiding tonight.

Given Arsenal's inability to put Burnley away and the fact Southampton seem to have played themselves back in to form, it's almost a foregone conclusion that Brighton will beat Leicester.

I'll say Brighton 2-1

I was never a red card or penalty, the ball clearly hit his shoulder, the other penalty call was 100% handball, even if Peter Walton says an outstretched arm is in a natural position.

Yep I agreed with it. My point was, they got it wrong on both occasions. Firstly not giving the pen, then sending off someone and giving a pen that wasnt. It was also cleared up in a comment after. Read it all.

Agreed. Just looking at what the club need to do versus what others "might" do. Hopeful as little as 34 points will do the job considering Newcastle's form. Can't count on the poor performance of others to keep the club up though.

We're not playing Liverpool tomorrow. We're playing "Liverpool." They have been terrible, have lost five straight at home, and are going to be playing CBs they recently found by the Mersey River. Our mentality needs to be three points tomorrow, not one. We should have beaten them the first time when they weren't in horrid form.
