Just wonderwd if we should change the music the team.comes out to, currently we have London calling, but i dont think it really gets the crowd firwd up. Napoli used to use the song by Opus Live is Life, the stadium was rocking before rhe game even began. Crowd participation, to sing along to a simple chorus but very effective.
Maybe it me, but just wanted to get your thoughts on the phsycololgy behind it.

We used to have a selection of about 1 record for the pre match entertainment back in the 'sixties.....Sometimes that used to play on, even after kick off.
"A medley by the 'Big Ben Banjo Band' was used to fire the blood of our boys...

If you can't get fired up by London Calling then I'm not sure that anything will work.

Personally I love London Calling and I find it very apt. If the prospect of watching FFC preceeded by that anthem isn't enough to fire up even our most senior supporters in the Riverside then I give up.

QPR use London Calling as well due to where the Clash were from. I think of Iron Maiden stuff but Steve Harris is West Ham through and through. How about the Scorpions? Plenty of great/silly rock stuff.

DONT play the same track all over.......adjust as the team would.

Nice one, hadn't realised that tune was Moulin Rouge. Yes, I think they play that before the teams come out so people can use their clappers (lol). I think they then play Escala, but I may be wrong! It's been a while now!
I for one feel that the loud music helps to kill the atmosphere at games, no longer are songs sung before games, the build up is now staged managed and excludes the very people who build the atmosphere.
Even when crowds were fairly low people would sing before games, at the bigger games in our history you could feel the atmosphere before you had even entered the ground. The nearest we get these days is singing under the concourse at away games or in the odd pub where a number of us gather. I actively do not enter the ground until the last possible moment to avoid the terrible music, our group always meet in the pub for a few beers so we can have a good chat, inside the ground you cannot speak to the person next to you without shouting.
There seems to be a real discourse these days as to what supporters want and what the 'match day production team' think we want in my view. Get rid of the happy clappers or just give them to the kids when they enter the ground. Where are the original songs these days? we are losing the natural line of people making new songs to be replaced by the crowd singing 'Sweet Caroline' to the original song being played over the sound system!
I do not like the 'Disney' matchday experience, I do not go to a football ground to eat and drink or to buy half and half scarves!
If we still had Parker in charge it would definitely have to be "Over, Under Sideways, Down" by The Yardbirds

That's what I remember as well - Moulin Rouge before the teams come out and then Escala just before kick off.
