Title: Fabio Carvalho
Post by: JohnG on September 18, 2021, 05:47:02 PM
We have now had three successive matches without Fabio and have lost two of them against struggling teams and only scored one goal in those two games.

It must now be very clear to the powers that be that he is vital to our chances of automatic promotion.  It is essential that he is offered whatever he requires (within reason) to sign; not doing so will be a very false economy and we will ultimately badly lose out.

Totally agree. We need Carvalho back fit. We look so fast and more creative with him in the team

Agree. But your always a much better player when your not playing and your team gets beat.Lots of talk also about Harrison Reed yesterday also agree with that.

If we're this reliant on a kid who hasn't played half a full season yet, then we're in big trouble.

We had 40 shots in the two games we lost, if we could finish we'd have won both. It's to do with taking chances not one player missing.

I want to see our best midfield trio playing a string of games together , they are Seri/Reed/Carvalho, then I think we will look like real promotion contenders

Two season ago we had problems finishing chances.   We relied on Mitro and worldies to get us to the playoffs.

What Fabio can do (other than his excellent movement without the ball) is finish chances.   He, and Harry have been the only consistent ones to do it this season. (Mitro obviously)

40 shots...and not being able to finish means we need the player who takes his chances.  We need him A LOT.

Today reminded me of our last promotion season.   We just didn't have Harry Arter coming in as a sub, or Big Mike in our back 4.
