Out of interest why does the match day thread post on the general discussion always include a link to another page?

Seems a bit convoluted? Why can't it just be the page on the general discussion page?

Diop is presumably being rested as he doesn't deserve to be dropped. Either way, here's hoping Tosin makes the most of his chance tonight.

Great to see Manor Solomon on the bench. We really need some more creativity from our supporting wingers, given Wilson's long road to full fitness and James' general ineptitude.

Unless it's fitness/fatigue related I don't understand why Diop has been dropped. He's been our best CB since becoming a regular in the squad.

Diop's had a couple of errors in the last 2 games; he gave the ball away when Che Adams ran through on goal.
Tosin is a bit quicker I think which may also be a factor against Vardy, Barnes etc. But who really knows what goes through a manager's mind.

My first thought about Tosin was that he is in the January shop window, same for chalobah.

yeh he seems to slip an awful lot.

Funny how we perceive things though as I feel the opposite that Diop is quicker, certainly over a longer distance

Interestingly I though out of the two Tosin had shown to be a greater liability which is why Diop got his chance. Before Diop started for us and Tosin was starting with ream we let in 2 goals consistently a game, something which hasn't been the case with Diop alongside Ream. I'm not sure how much there is between the two in terms of pace, but Diop seems the better defender.

Diop got rested the last time we played 3 games in a week so I assume its a similar logic here. Leicester had to make a change as Dewsbury-Hall got injured in the warmup so Ndidi now starts and they've got one man fewer on the bench

Both sides look capable of scoring which is OK for us. We had to withstand some Leicester pressure after we scored which we did, albeit narrowly. Mitros goal and Willians pass though was quite something. Willian seems up for it. So does pereira and mitro. Unconvinced by tosin.

Hope to see Solomon on at some point in the second half.

Funny how we see things differently. I think Tosin's been excellent, but Pereira very sloppy today and wasted a lot of good opportunities with poor passes. Although can agree that he looks up for it, just as all of them do.

He plays best on the left, so maybe put Willian on the right if you take BDR off. He can play RM too but he's better inverted coming in off the left wing

This was kind of my point. I don't see how you take Willian off so either Solomon plays out of position on the right or Willian has to move over. It's a bit of a conundrum.

I feel like Reed is constantly losing the ball

I expect Cairney to come on in about 10-15 minutes. We're not quite converting good positions into chances.

Has been doling out so many yellows this half.

Also, noticed why tosin isn't as good as a CB. He's soo careless when it comes to passing the ball out. There have been a few times now where he just hoofs it forward in a general direction of a fulham player only to over or underhit it. He's been pretty poor today and has encouraged Leicester to grow in confidence.

Yeah, that too. For some reason he's always on the outside and not goalside of the attacking player. Seems a simple and obvious thing to do at PL level.

Bugger fingernails, that's what I call a real emergency!

Excellent battle, great win. Not for the tiki taka crowd I guess. Love it!

How on earth did we win that game, we were terrible.

I dont want to see any first team players playing against Hull

Another 3 points towards guaranteeing safety, what a points return since Christmas before our tricky run of games

Shame about Mitros yellow but great result. Another ground out result like the Saints game. These points are so valuable

That's the way to do it, win beautiful when we can, win ugly when we have to.
I drink to your heath DaveW, but i also drink to swimming with bow legged women.

Good first half, poor but dogged second half. But another beautiful 3 points - loving it so much

We were not terrible

We competed and also caused them problems

Not beautiful but also not ugly

Great team performance

I thought Robinson was best player, so quick to intercept and close down

Ony negative is that we should be safe from relegation

What are the Fulham masochists going to do now?

Does Mitros ban apply for the FA cup or just the PL?

If he gets a 1 match ban red card I think it applies for the FA cup game, if he serves a 1 match ban for yellow card accumulation it doesn't apply to the FA cup game

Mitro should have taken a 2nd yellow in the last minute!!! who cares about a ban in the cup...

How can you say we were terrible? We are away at Leicester, I think we defended well keeper was excellent. If we were at home you'd expect to pile on the pressure it was a fantastic result we dug in and got the result . That's the premier league under Parker we would have lost . Clean sheets are a result of hard work . COYW

A bit of an ironic comment as we did beat Leicester away 2-0 under Parker, and did have to weather the storm.
But I agree - playing away against a PL team with pedigree and quality in their ranks, and a canny manager. You will have to defend for spells. It was backs to the wall for most of the 2nd half but a huge result for the club, and an incredible 3 wins on the bounce.

Great result!
Very good first half but boy oh boy we should have tucked another couple of goals away before Leicester got going.
Difficult to criticise our first half but we were very wasteful in front of goal.

That is ironic I agree , my point remains but thanks for reminding me I'm just reacting with my emotions. This is a very good Fulham side in a good moment and trust me I have followed Fulham since 74 . We have tough tests to come I know but to be fair we said this would be a hard game
