Good start for Villa's new manager,2 up against Man Utd after 10 mins.
Hope we're taking notes
Newmarket 1 up at Southampton.
Geordies 2 up now.
Make that 3 up...Saints in big trouble.
All games going well especially the result at the dog track. takes the shine off that brave ten versus eleven result by citeh yesterday.
Saints looking like good candidates to fill the third relegation place with Forest & Bournemouth.

Wolves look more likely than Bournemouth imo

Bournemouth won't go down. They have too much attacking threat. Agree, Wolves look more likely.

They most certainly can go down. They gave up a 3–1 lead to Leeds and lost 4-3. Have all the attack you want but conceding like an over saturated sponge to water
I have a lot of friends who are Saints fans, and they think they're doomed unless they change manager asap. Personally I thought they would go down at the start of the season, due to their recruitment
I've been predicting Southampton to drop since the start of the season and they haven't changed my mind. They have no attacking threat.
I do find it quite staggering that we are only three wins ahead of Forest. 064.gif

Yes the league is tight. We have done pretty well, better than many of us expected. But we still have a lot of work to do to be safe. Such a shame we have lost narrowly in a few games albeit against top sides when a point was so close for us. Also could have done with a win when so on top against Everton. I think we'll be ok though. Just need to stay a few points ahead of the 6 or 7 teams at the bottom and not get dragged in. Three points v United before the break would be massive for us

To be fair 3 wins is 1/4 of the points needed for survival and not a small thing in the Prem.

With our injuries and Reed missing next week I would settle for a performance, a goal or two and a point from Man.U.
A point would mean that we go into the break with 20 points, half the season total needed to avoid relegation. That would be comfortable and better than most of us expected.

3 wins is massive in this league though

Agreed Jules - if we could land those 3 points it will be fantastic.
I am absolutely not complaining about the situation, I just found it amusing.
Like Leicester, I think Wolves have enough quality players to see them safe when the new manager knocks them into shape. Bournemouth's losing streak and tendency to concede late goals puts them in danger IMO. Whatever happens, I can't see Solanke nor Billings being at Bournemouth next season.

Fully agree.
