News: Today three (!) offers for Charlie Adam:
Birmingham (1.7m)
Aston Villa (2.2m)
Blackburn (~2m)
Tony Pulis and Mark Hughes are also keeping tabs.
Dark horse: FC Everton
Blackpool are considering the offers, but are in no rush to sell.
Bentley having his Birmingham medical, with Larsson talking to Newcastle as we speak.
Behrami still in talks with Fiorentina, West Ham hoping for more offers to up the fee.
Our former transfer target Alvaro Negredo is targeted by Liverpool, while Wayne Bridge is set to join West Ham on 90k/week.
90k a week? Ninety? Djeez. This is going from bad to worse.
If Wet Spam are prepared to pay Wayne Bridge 90 grand a week they are even more pathetic than I thought they were, they deserve all they get bunch of losers.
Wayne Bridge won't save them single handedly - if they do get relegated then that will be a very heavy burden.
Sorry but Bridge on £90k a week is laughable.
Arrrgghr MR Fulham i thought you was posting news of us bidding for Adam, you lured me in on false pretences. Whilst your here how are Volzy and Buctmann getting on?

Volzy's only sub for both fullback positions...shame, I think he's better than both players in front of him. Watched him in a friendly yesterday and looked quite good.
Buchtmann is - still - only a reserve team player without a senior appearance to date in a weak Cologne squad.

... and exactly how West Ham got into the mess they're currently in. Jesus you'd think "experienced" business men would learn from past mistakes.
On Sky, Holloway said he'd only let Adam go to a club playing in the Champions League. He's already turned down Villa's offer, which was reported at 2.5m.
I can reveal that Fulham is interested in Posh-goalkeeper Joe Lewis. Blackpool are also interested.

Why aren't we in for Seb Larsson? He has been really good for Brum the last seasons and he is becoming a key man in the national side. Can play on the wing as well as CM and can even play RB (has done that for Sweden). Brilliant right foot and still only 25 years old. 600k-800k?! I say go get him, Sparky!

Can't see that wages should be a problem. If it was surely the Swedish media would covered it when he extended his contract. I know he got a huge bonus when they were promoted but don't know much about wages so maybee you're right!

Bentley's Brum loan is fixed.
Hammers had talks with Robbie Keane, negotiations are due to take place in the next days.
Wayne Bridge will not be on 90k/week wages!
SWP not likely to join Hammers.

SWP in talks with Fulham.
Bridge to West Ham confirmed.
Theo Robinson to Millwall - could this be the replacement for Steve Morison?
USA international Jermaine Jones set to complete his move to Blackburn, he's currently undergoing a medical ahead of final contract negotiations.
Robbie Keane still wants to stay in London.
MON to replace Avram Grant today.
Seb Larsson NOT joining Newcastle.

Yeah, he has always been a w*nker....I know him since his first Frankfurt days and he's a troublemaker. In addition, he's always (ALWAYS!) injured. Wouldn't want him here.
Seb Larsson wanted money, money, money. So definitely not us in the running. I can see him going to Blackburn, West Ham or Sunderland.
West Ham will not spend 6m for Keane, but they still want a loan or a smaller fee.
Birmingham would spend 6m or more, but they're not able to pay his wages.
Everton have accepted a Chelsea bid for Steven Pienaar, Aston Villa is in talks with Brum regarding Seb Larsson.
Bolton are trying to hijack a move from Fulham for SWP.
Darren Bent is all set to join Aston Villa for about 16m.
Fulham are to miss out on SWP with Newcastle set to make a bid.
Bent deal done. 18m + 6m add-ons.

When the transfer period is over and he's still in Sunderland colors, Bent's going to have an interesting relationship with their supporters. What is it with some players? The Black Cats are on the up, he's got a great strike partner, and there's a lot of young players breaking through. Why would you want to give that up?
I just don't understand.

Steve Bruce is a shrewd man who sees this as a fantastic opportunity to recoup a decent amount of money. He has a young, great squad with loads of potential and wants to make the loan moves of Nedum Onuoha and Danny Welbeck permanent. There are a few young players around who are waiting to join their squad, Ryan Noble for instance. That's a fantastic bit of business by Steve Bruce.
Didn't they pay about that for him in the first place, seems an awful lot of dosh, but he is garanteed to score goals, not madness in my book.

Mr. Fulham's comments on my post earlier this thread re-inforce Mr. Finn's comments here. Bruce and Sunderland come out winners.
And Wigan big big losers, if they lose N'Zogbia. Don't understand it, unless they've got another little diamond in the rough lined up.
Maybe they're resigned to relegation, and cashing in while they can? Doesn't seem likely though, given how close it is - basically anyone can go down, you really want to hang on to any talent you've got. Unfortunate that Bent is going to Villa then, since he's talented enough to lift them out of the relegation battle, making it that much tougher for us and the other strugglers.

Keane must have Spuds by the nuts unless they lower their value no one will sign him due to age/rustiness and wages and the money for him helps them bring in someone else.
Hughes's idea of players worth is a perfect match for however holds the purse strings at the club. Sidwell is a solid buy and if we got SWP what a quality pair of signings that would be.
The funny thing about West Ham is that they have a decent strike force it is their defence that is the problem!
Newcastle have made an official bid for Shaun Wright-Phillips. With Routledge leaving, they have a vacancy on the wings. Their wage structure could be a better fit for SWP.
There were two more inquiries from Premiership clubs, apparently Everton and Sunderland.

If SWP is expecting massive wages, I hope he goes elsewhere. I don't want Fulham paying big money for a nearly 30 year old player whose entire game revolves around pace.
It's because we won't pay him the most that IF he comes to us it'll be for the right reasons.

Bendtner not interested in West Ham move, says dad
Nicklas Bendtner is not interested in leaving Arsenal for West Ham, his father and agent has said.
The Danish striker has been linked with a move away from the Emirates in recent weeks and is reportedly a target for the Hammers.
It's been claimed the Gunners could do business if they receive a big enough bid for the 23-year-old, who has started just one Premier League game this season.
But Bendtner's father Thomas says his son has no desire to move across London to join Avram Grant's struggling side.
"That's not interesting," he told Ekstrabladet. "If Arsenal want to sell and have set a price, then that's up to them.
"That's nothing that we have been involved in. I can only say that this is nothing of interest to us."

We signed Duff when he was 30 and he was good for us. By the way, SWP will be 29 in the summer.
Mr Fulham, with respect to Duff the emphasis is on was .This year he has been shite.
Are you kidding? Duff and Davies out wide are half the reason for our recent good performances!

Duffs game was never purely about pace, SWP's is.
We desperately need some width, our 'wide' players are not wide players. Get some proper width and I'm convinced we'll start winning games away from home.

Any update on the SWP saga?
Sorry, no news.
I reckon Sparky's currently
trying to bring in 3 or 4 players in the next week. SWP, Kakuta, Konchesky plus a striker.
I wouldn't say
No to Jamie O'Hara or Michael Bradley either. But that's a long shot.
SWP (loan + option)
Kakuta (loan)
Konchesky (loan + option)
Striker (loan or permanent)
This seems to be Sparky's agenda.
Interesting to see if he manages to bring in a striker. Heared different twitter rumours about Adebayor and Robbie Keane, not sure if there's any truth in that.
Not to ruin your excellent thread with meaningless tittle tattle BUT there does seem to be a lot being said in cyberspace and elsewhere outside the media about Adebayor coming to us (and indeed about Robbie Keane being nailed onto join West Ham).
I know the argument of collosal wages comes up but it posibly depends how much Man City want shot of the big fella. Look how much of Craig Bellamy's wages they are paying while he is at Cardiff. It may just be that they are prepared for us to £45k a week of his wages and they pick up the rest!?!
The Picayune who knows nothing and is drunk most of the time says Konk and Adebaywatch are non starters. Three players are on the cusp of joining but like all things may decide to go else where. One forward is mentioned that has not been mentioned elsewhere and I have been told to. and I quote ' I am slur slur drunk don't ssh cause they are walls everywhere who know a thing or two' end qoute. Make of that what you will.
So there you have it. :hook: :dead horse: :drums:

I've got the feeling that if we had the money to sign Keane, we had al ready done so. Our only chance now is that he rejects the bids from the other clubs and that he or Tottenham are ready to cut the price/salary to get him away from north London.
Wolves are trying to sign Lorik Cana from Galatasaray.
West Ham stil in for Robbie Keane.
No Fulham news, but Sparky has practically ruled out Konchesky, SWP and Kranjcar, who is still a loan target for Werder Bremen.
Fernando Torres could stay at Anfield, but will leave Liverpool in summer.
Sevilla have signed Schalke midfielder Ivan Rakitic. Schalke have signed a replacement, Ghana international Anthony Annan from Rosenborg BK.
Curtis Davies and Obafemi Martins have joined Birmingham City.
Demba Ba has signed for West Ham and was cheaper than first thought.
Kris Commons has joined Celtic for a bargain 500k.
Dieumerci Mbokani has joined Wolfsburg.
Charlie Austin is set to complete his move to Burnley.
Jimmy Bullard has joined Ipswich, who are also in for Shefki Kuqi.

Are there any realistic transfer moves for Fulham that have yet to be hashed out? Or do you get the feeling that we're done? Window closes EOD Monday, correct?
Cannot see us bringing in a forward now. The other speculation has been answered by Hughes. So I rather fear that is it.

Well, this just doesn't give me that warm fuzzy feeling I was looking for.
We're walking the tight rope the rest of the season not knowing how long it will take for Bobby to return to form. 2/2 vs Newcastle will be an absolute must win by the looks of the rest of our season.
I know that there's no need for panic buying, but a panic loan would make me feel better. :59:
I guess, for now, that warm fuzzy feeling will have to come from a bottle of The Macallan.

Signings...Brum 2, Bburn 2, Bolton 1, Everton 0, Newcastle 1, wba 0, wolves 1, FULHAM 2, hammers 3.
Also, if you look at the names of those signings, Sidwell would be in my top 2 or 3.I reckon we are doing ok.

According to BILD, we're not interested in Paolo Guerrero any more.
I would like to bet that Fulham have spent less than nearly all our competitors during the last two windows. This was after we tried to buy Crouch. We didn't. We sold a player for 10 million. So thats 19 million we didn't spend. We still haven't spent any real money on the oldest squad in the Prem. And we wonder why we have struggled. Why we will struggle.

We still spend less than our turnover (see SwissRamble blog). Maybe we should have a serious discussion of strategy post-MAF (I'd like that), but however much we spend it's out of his pocket.
