What are your favourite film debuts of all time? Ones where its kind of a cool film, with a cool actor debuting and a cool role?
I always liked this one -
Christpher Walken - The Anderson Tapes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xuDmxYJ1AM#ws)
The Trick Is ... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYNElueJj_w#)
Legend.
Michael Caine (well, he calls it his debut) as Gonville Bromhead -
Zulu - Final Attack (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1csr0dxalpI#ws)
Lauren Bacall in "To Have And Have Not"
Orson Welles "Citizen Kane"
And of course
DEXTER GORDON "Round Midnight"
Léon -Natalie Portman - Game (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YoNzlS0hIw#)
A VERY young Natalie Portman in Leon...
(STEREO) A Fistful Of Dollars by Ennio Morricone (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpZjvbSC9_M#)
Warren Beatty in "Splendour in the Grass". 1961. An underrated classic film.
Quadrophenia (1979) Movie Trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xwp5Fu2KZsc#)
Phil Daniels.. not exactly his debut.. but im sure a waiter in Bugsy Malone doesn't count!
Vinnie Jones - Lock Stock. Say what you like about the bloke but this scene will live long in the memory (Bad language and violence in this) -
Never, ever ... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83dHET-3gZM#)
Julie Christie in Billy Liar. She was only on screen for 17 minutes, and much of it was distant shots of her walking though a city shopping area, but I fell in love with her on the spot. I'm not sure I've ever gotten over her.
BILLY LIAR - Julie Christie - Richard Rodney Bennett (HQ) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m54NABR2pEw#ws)
Just watched it; gorgeous as I remember.
Cant imagine a better film debut for a young actor than Tom Burlinson in The Man From Snowy River. He takes my breath away.
Man From Snowy River - The Descent (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZBXLYJwgt4#)

That is such a good film. Beautiful sound track as well. It says "introducing" Michael Caine.
Damn that is one good movie....very rarely shown in the states unfortunately.

Brosnan? He just sits in the taxi for the last 30 seconds of the film and says nothing.

He'd made a good dozen-twenty films and a TV series before he did this movie.

Ray Winstone - Scum
I think you're confusing him with the characters he plays.
Or the team he supports.
