Dominant so far, a good showing all round - players looking bright. A few issues finding the right final ball, but 1-0 up and 15 on the clock. Let's keep it up and dominate. Much more cohesion this game round vs the home one. Good to see Duffy get some minutes. Anyone notice also that Duffy and Tosin are switching sides a lot?

I feel for Roberts.  If he had taken a different path he could have possibly been developed better and had an ok career.  But he lays in the bed he made so he is what he is.

Don't think that's fair. Kurzawa has been doing well today. If anything I think the area we're doing worse in is on our wing play... The wingers are doing well but i'd argue they seem to be trying to hard. Wilson has had a few moments where he really should've played a through ball to vini on a couple of occasions where Vini was in a great position and on his strong foot. Both wingers have done well until the final ball where I think they've had their heads down too much and not see the obvious pass.

Agreed, it does look like Soloman is dropping into the pocket to cut the space infront of Kurzawa way more than Wilson is being made to do with Tete, seems tactical

Total lack of that 4-4-2 shape off the ball we have been playing with so well of late and that's causing some defensive amateur hour so far.

Sunderland now right back in the game and it looks as if we are going to have to use a number of our subs.

We are doing ok and just enough. Unfortunately none of our fringe players are setting the world on fire. Cairney is controlling the show and Solomon shows glimpses of class. Rodak shaky, Vinicius out muscled. Harris quiet

First 15 minutes were brilliant. Pure joy to watch. Later on, considering there are so many players who aren't using to play with each other we dropped off, but overall a very solid first half.

I'd want the team to involve Solomon much more. He's such a threat 1v1 and we barely using it and relying to much on the right side of the pitch.

Cairney has been class. I think Harris needs to be a bit more adventurous when he gets the ball. He's received it a few times in a position where he should be driving at the defence and looking to get a shot away but he's played low risk passes instead.

Solid, we're not resting on laurels and going for the win. Felt harris was a bit on the periphery in the first half, didn't really do much. Pereira is a good option. Mitro, hasn't scored in a while.

I think Vinicius is finding hold up play in a howling wind a bit of an unusual challenge.  He's often miles off the flight of the ball.

At the back it's a tale of two flanks.  One side is Fort Impregnable.  The other is Help Yourself.  Kurzawa has been very poor, noticeably slow to get back late in the half.  Yet the moment he does something vaguely competent, the BBC commentator refers to PSG, Champions League and the veiled inference he's a bit too good for us.

Final irreverent half time thought.  When he left us, I thought Patrick Roberts could achieve many impressive things.  Little did I know that nearly a decade later I'd be marvelling at his beard.  Didn't think he had that in him back then.

Hmm - amazing footwork I agree, but his end product was off for some reason. Don't know why, but hopefully will improve. Still keeping BDR and Willian for me. Solomon is close, but not quite there just yet.

We've got to have one eye on the weekend though, not many days between games and having played chelsea recently Tete needs the rest. We don't have Cedric and for some reason Mbabu isn't on the bench so BDR is the only real option.

I thought Duffy was decent considering he's hardly played for months. We struggled to control the game 2nd half and the pitch quality and wind made it difficult.

I thought Tosin was generally very good today, first half he was mostly superb, best player on the pitch except for TC. No idea why he is being singled out this game.

We dominated, but fell apart defensively when we subbed Tete and Palhinha. Reed has his use, but it is certainly not as a defensive shield. BDR is not good enough to play right back with no protection from either the winger or the DM. Luckily we got through.
