Tottenham predicted lineup vs Fulham - Premier League

Tottenham looking to build on important win over Aston Villa
Micky van de Ven is injured; Radu Dragusin set for his first Spurs start
Tottenham can go fourth in the Premier League with a win over Fulham

Tottenham's hunt for a Champions League place takes them to Craven Cottage on Saturday when they visit Fulham.

Ange Postecoglou's side need a strong finish to the season if they are to finish fourth and be sure of Champions League qualification. They can move ahead of Aston Villa if they get all three points on Saturday afternoon.

They did suffer an injury blow during the 4-0 win over Villa last weekend as Micky van de Ven limped off with a knee issue, though he is expected to be fully fit again after the March international break.

Here's the team Postecoglou may choose when Spurs face Fulham.

Tottenham predicted lineup vs Fulham (4-2-3-1)
GK: Guglielmo Vicario - A clean sheet away at Villa is not something many goalkeepers have achieved this season. Vicario has slotted into life in the Premier League in a way many Italians haven't in the past.

RB: Pedro Porro - Bang in the hunt for a place in the Premier League's Team of the Season, having provided seven assists in his first full campaign in England's top flight.

CB: Cristian Romero - The Argentina World Cup winner has developed a forceful partnership with Van der Ven but, with the Dutchman sidelined here, Romero will need to keep his head and take on more of a leadership role against Fulham.

CB: Radu Dragusin - Van de Ven may not be out for very long, so this is a big opportunity for Dragusin to impress Postecoglou and show why he should get more minutes towards the end of the season.

LB: Destiny Udogie - Another Italian who has settled well in his first Premier League season, Udogie still has weaknesses in his game but provides a dynamism and energy few else at Spurs can.

CM: Yves Bissouma - There was a clear dip in form from Bissouma earlier in the season, specifically after his red card against Luton Town. The former Brighton midfielder seems to be back to his best now and Postecoglou clearly trusts him.

CM: Pape Matar Sarr - Alongside Bissouma, Sarr is growing in confidence each week and the Villa match was another big display from the youngster, assisting the crucial opener with a brilliant cross.

RW: Dejan Kulusevski - The Swede spoke glowingly about Postecoglou in the week to The Player's Tribune, saying: "Ange is brave, and he makes you brave." He needs to back up that admiration with some strong performances between now and the end of the season.

AM: James Maddison - The Englishman was key to the win over Villa last weekend and seems to be at his pre-injury best. He will be desperate to play in the Champions League next season as he is certainly good enough.

LW: Brennan Johnson - Has been battling Timo Werner for this starting role recently and, despite both scoring against Villa, Johnson had a very good game from the start and should be chosen again here.

ST: Son Heung-min - The South Korean has been involved in 20+ Premier League goals in five different seasons now, showing has been one of the strongest players in the league for a long time now.

Dragusin starts, Van de Ven out - The Tottenham team Ange Postecoglou should pick vs Fulham
Here we take a look at who our Tottenham reporters at football.london would select in their Spurs XI for Saturday evening's Premier League match against Fulham

Tottenham are on the road once again this weekend as they look to strengthen their Champions League credentials. Victorious at Aston Villa last Sunday as they hit their European rivals for four, Spurs will be aiming for more of the same when they travel across the capital to Fulham's Craven Cottage home.

Three points in west London would see Tottenham move ahead of Aston Villa and into fourth, although the Midlands club would have the opportunity to overtake them on Sunday when they face West Ham at the London Stadium. Heading into Saturday's fixture at Fulham, Ange Postecoglou appears to have a fairly simple call to make in regards to his Tottenham team considering their win over Villa.

Micky van de Ven looks set to miss out through injury, thus meaning the boss will be forced into a change from the team that started at Villa Park. So who will be in his starting XI to take on the Cottagers? Our Tottenham reporters at football.london have had their say below.

Alasdair Gold - Tottenham Hotspur correspondent
Ange Postecoglou was left delighted with Spurs' performance from start to finish at Villa Park and that would suggest little reason to change up the team. The only required switch is likely to be Radu Dragusin coming into the team with Micky van de Ven out with a hamstring issue that Postecoglou and the Dutchman do not think is serious.

Elsewhere Timo Werner will be pushing for a start after back-to-back goals in the past two matches but Brennan Johnson has been even more impressive in those same games so should keep his spot and Dejan Kulusevski was involved in three of Tottenham's four goals at Vila.

Rodrigo Bentancur will also be looking to get back into the line-up but the Uruguayan could struggle to get past Pape Matar Sarr or Yves Bissouma after their displays on Sunday.

Gold's team: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma, Maddison; Kulusevski, Son, Johnson.

Rob Guest - Football writer
It should be a fairly simple decision for Ange Postecoglou when it comes to his Tottenham team to take on Fulham. Spurs were excellent at Villa Park last weekend and deservedly came away with all three points in a 4-0 triumph.

The only negative to come from the game was Micky van de Ven going off injured early in the second half. Radu Dragusin performed well in his pitch time and he looks set to start at Craven Cottage as the Dutchman misses out.

Timo Werner did his chances of starting no harm at all following his goal but Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski had a big say on the game and deserve to keep their place in the team. That means players such as Werner and Rodrigo Bentancur have to bide their time on the bench once again.

Guest's team: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Udogie; Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison; Kulusevski, Son, Johnson.

Tottenham set for huge injury boost after 26-year-old striker is spotted in team training ahead of Fulham
Richarlison has 10 goals in 22 league games for Spurs this season.

Tottenham striker Richarlison has missed games against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa but was spotted in training as Spurs released a video of the squad fresh after Thursday's session with the Brazilian in the squad.

The first team also gathered for a photo with a group of youngsters after their training and Richarlison who picked up a knee injury against Wolves was seen with his teammates swiftly after the workout.

The former Everton man is enjoying his best time in north London since he joined the club two seasons ago. He's bagged 10 goals and assisted three times already. He stepped up massively when club captain Son Heung-min was away at the Asian Cup and will be desperate to return to the field with 10 games remaining.

The 26-year-old striker will also be keen to prove his fitness with Brazil having two international games this month, one against England and the other against Spain.

Spurs looking for a strong finish
Tottenham vs Fulham will be one of only four league games this weekend, with the FA Cup taking centre stage but Villa are not in action until Sunday, so Spurs will go fourth if they can secure all three points at Craven Cottage tomorrow evening.

The north London club crashed out of the FA Cup and League Cup at the first round and without European football this season, getting back to the Champions League is the club's main target in the final games of the campaign.

Fulham prepare bumper contract for Tosin Adarabioyo as they battle to ward off interest from Liverpool and other elite European clubs... with the defender's current deal expiring in the summer

Fulham hope to convince Tosin Adarabioyo to stay with a lucrative new contract
The defender was open to leaving as his deal expires soon and he has admirers

Fulham are preparing a new contract offer for defender Tosin Adarabioyo that could make him one of the best paid players at the club.

The centre-back's current deal runs out this summer and he has been free to talk to foreign clubs since January. He has attracted a number of enquiries with the likes of AC Milan and Marseille keen while Liverpool have also checked on his progress.

But now Fulham hope to convince him to stay with a tempting contract.

The 26-year-old, who had been open to leaving at the end of this season, has been a steady performer for Marco Silva this campaign despite the impasse over his future and his displays have put him on the radar of England manager Gareth Southgate.

Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite and Liverpool's Joe Gomez were given the nod in Thursday's England selection for forthcoming friendlies with Brazil and Belgium but Adarabioyo's stats have been comparing favourably with other leading English centre-backs despite only making 14 Premier League appearances after injury this season.

Adarabioyo has turned the heads of Liverpool, AC Milan, and Marseille and his contract expires in the summer

Earlier this month, Fulham manager Silva hailed Adarabioyo's contribution: 'In December, when it was really busy, he helped the team to reach a really good level. He is a really important player for us inside the football club.

'He is growing. He is a really good player and of course we always expect better things from him, and if he is going to be the case to go for the national team (then) even better, because it's always the ambition of a football player.'

Fabrizio Romano reveals rumoured Spurs target has been offered long-term deal by current club
Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Tosin Adarabioyo has been offered a new long-term deal by Fulham, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The central defender is out of contract at Craven Cottage and was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham earlier this season (The Sun).

Romano claims that the Cottagers have offered Adarabioyo a more lucrative contract with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.

A number of clubs remain interested in landing the 26-year-old at the end of the season when his contract expires.

Tottenham were heavily linked with a move for Tosin Adarabioyo
The Italian transfer guru took to social media platform X to write: "Understand Fulham have offered new long term deal to Tosin Adarabioyo with salary rise as part of the proposal.

"Tosin's current contract expires in June...but he's still considering his future as several clubs remain interested in signing him as free agent."

SpursWeb Opinion
While Tottenham have already bolstered their central defensive options over the past two transfer windows following the arrivals of Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin, they also sold Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier will also depart once his contract ends this summer.

Japhet Tanganga could be another to head out of the door which would certainly leave the backline in Tottenham's first team squad short of cover, unless Ashley Phillips and Alfie Dorrington step up.

With Adarabioyo fulfilling the UEFA homegrown category, he would be a welcome addition, however, it's unlikely that he would want to potentially be fourth choice at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Harris 'loving' Exeter loan
Luke Harris says he's 'loving life' on loan at League One Exeter City and is pleased to have finally scored his first professional goal earlier this week.

The talented Welsh midfielder, who has featured for Fulham's first team under Marco Silva before being handed more first team football when he moved to St. James' Park in January, scored the Grecians' second goal in a 3-0 win over Shrewsbury Town in an impressive win for Gary Caldwell's side.

Harris told Devon Live afterwards:

"We are buzzing to get the three points really. "It was a good first half performance, sometimes can be harder against ten men, and we did well to get the first goal and then got a few more. We kept the ball, got the crosses in and then goal came. We had to keep going, and got the three points, and that is the most important thing.

The goal has finally come and I am buzzing. I should have scored the first when Jack cut it back but I got the goal. I'd like to think floodgates will open, I will stay confident., and hope they will keep going in. I am loving it here, just love it. The last few games we have played well in all three but haven't got the points. Today we showed what we can do and hopefully go on a run to the end of the season."

Stansfield and Godo earn England calls
On-loan Fulham forwards Jay Stansfield and Martial Godo have earned England age-group calls in the squads announced this morning.

Stansfield, who has scored 10 goals in 38 games at Birmingham City this season, has been named in Lee Carsley's under-21 squad for the European Championship qualifying games against Azerbaijan and Luxembourg next week. England's under 21s travel to Baku to face Azerbaijan at 12pm on Friday 22 March before facing Luxembourg at Bolton on Tuesday 26 March.

Godo, a hit during his loan spell at Wigan Athletic in League One, has been included in Ben Futcher's Elite League squad for an away double-header against Poland and Czechia. The former Margate winger, who has scored three goals and added four assists in 29 appearances this term for the Latics, has two under-20 caps to his name and could feature in Poland next Friday or against the Czechs on Tuesday 26 March.

The pros and cons of our striking trio

With a full complement of striking talent available for Spurs, Stephen Sheldrake looks at our options.

Rewind to the start of the campaign. With the closure of the summer transfer window looming, and the usual lack of business taking place, an air of uncertainty clouded Fulham fans minds as the new season began. A certain number nine sets up the match winner for Everton away and suddenly the woes seem like they may just have been short-term concerns.

Moments later, fans were left in disarray as the Saudi Pro League's calls for Mitrovic were finally successful, the window slammed shut, and fans were left bewildered, wondering what the game plan was for this Fulham squad. It seemed after the club fought so hard to keep Marco Silva, the same ambition wasn't re-invested into the squad.

Frustration crept in as inevitably the whites struggled in front of goal. After a poor pre-season Carlos Vinicius could barely break into the team, leading to half appearances with rash moments of aggression to opposition players, causing fans to fear the worst. New signing Raul Jimenez hadn't found the back of the net in two years; his form took a major dip after suffering that head injury against Arsenal. In the 2022/23 campaign Rodrigo Muniz found himself struggling to find match time in the Championship, as he was demoted to the bench in his loan placement at Middlesbrough. Things weren't looking pretty to say the least.

Marco Silva's faith in Raul finally paid off as he bagged his first goal for us against Aston Villa away, and from there he really found his feet. An unfortunate injury laid the path for Muniz while Carlos was sent out on loan to Galatasaray. The club's striking options seemed to be wearing thin. That was until the very last moments of the winter transfer window when a loan deal for Chelsea centre-forward Armando Broja was announced across Sky Sports in the dying embers of the night.

It should have been a walk in the park for a player of his calibre to come into the Fulham front line and make it his own, however Rodrigo Muniz had other ideas and was fired up as he grasped the opportunity to play Premier League football with both hands with goals to match his terrific work rate and hold up play.

Ahead of Tottenham's visit to the Cottage the weekend, Fulham now find themselves with three fully fit strikers. So, who gets the nod? Let's take a look at our options.

Rodrigo Muniz: the man on fire

In an unexpected turn of events, Rodrigo Muniz has established himself as an almost undroppable force leading the Fulham line up top. He always had the relentless work ethic and determination that fans admired, but the hold-up play was never quite on point and the goals never came. His goal and display against Burnley well and truly broke the chain and set the tone; since the outing to Turf Moor he has found the back of the net five times in six outings with an assist to add, earning him the February nomination for Premier League player of the month and adding a rumoured £20m to his transfer market valuation. His English has vastly improved alongside his overall footballing intelligence, the future's looking very bright for the club and the man who truly deserves this success.

Pro: He's the man in form. Consistency could be what Rodrigo needs now to kick on as his power, speed and athleticism could prove vital for the remainder of our campaign – if it ain't broke, don't try and fix it.

Con: Keeping Broja out of the team means we have to fork £4m over to our rivals in blue and he hasn't had the chance to prove his worth with a start yet. Raul was in strong form before his recent injury and at the key latter stage of his career. Do both of them deserve to remain sidelined?

Rating: 8/10

Armando Broja: the man we're yet to see

It was shrewd business to bring the Albanian in for the rest of the season. Nevertheless in a world of harsher financial fair play, there's nothing I would enjoy more than to not pay a penny over to Chelsea, even if £4m is a small price to pay for Muniz's coincidental rise in form.

Regardless, with a footballing brain on, Broja has produced some solid hold-up play from his appearances off the bench, never quite threatening the goal in the way we would hope. But it's a tough job scoring as a centre forward and his physical attributes add value to this team, that coupled with the fact he hasn't had the opportunity to start would perhaps raise the point that maybe now is the time to let him have his place in the side to prove his worth. It's a tough game regardless where we are not expecting three points, so perhaps it's worth throwing him in the deep end to see if there is any substance to the potential that is highlighted around this young player – he is only 22 after all.

Pro: A start means an opportunity to prove himself, he would provide strong physical attributes up top, and there's still a chance to not hand any pennies over to Chelsea. He did provide an assist in a solid cameo off the bench at Molineux.

Con: He hasn't set the world alight yet, and without a goal to his name, with his struggles to score in a blue shirt seemingly continuing in the white of Fulham, perhaps changing things up isn't a great idea at this crucial part of the season.

Rating: 6/10

Raul Jimenez: the man who was king – and could be once more

When Raul arrived, I felt there was a real air of excitement around him. Fulham fans knew of his history with Wolves and with an excellent workrate across the entire pitch, good footballing intellect and an eye for goal, this was a risk that seemed to fall into the hands of the perfect manager in Marco Silva. After a shaky start, Raul showed that he is a very skillful player that when switched on can prove to be a threat in front of goal with an air of excitement and flair. Though sometimes he tries a little too hard to pull off certain skills, and some decision-making left a bit to be desired (rewind to Longstaff red card). Overall I trust there is still a feeling of positivity around him and I'm glad he's part of the team. At the age of 33 now, game time will be really key for him, and personally he has proved to me that he is good enough to earn a start in this Fulham team, it's just a question of whether this is the right time.

Pro: A start gives Raul key match time after returning from his recent injury, was in strong form before and provides a lot of experience and good link up play to keep our attacks flowing and threatening.

Con: Having been out of the squad for a few weeks, we need our strikers to hit the ground running and dropping him in the deep end may not be the best choice in this tough fixture. With Rodrigo in fine form it seems hard to prioritise Raul over Muniz, however if his name is announced I'll be ready to see what he's made of in his return to the squad. Probably an appearance off the bench is best.

Rating: 7/10

Fulham Women to host Dartford at Craven Cottage
Fulham FC Women will host Dartford Women at Craven Cottage in their final match of the season, the club have have confirmed this lunchtime.

Fulham Women's second Cottage clash of the season will see the Whites face current London and South East Premier Division leaders Dartford on Sunday 7 April. Steve Jaye's side beat Arsenal's academy on penalties in the Capital Cup last November having played their first fixture back at the club's historic home against AFC Wimbledon last season.

The Whites will be looking to avenge their 2-1 defeat at Dartford earlier this season as they bid to finish the league campaign strongly. Fulham were beaten 1-0 at home by Saltdean United last Sunday – to leave them seven points behind the Darts at the top of the table.

You can book your tickets for the season finale via the club's ticketing site.

Tottenham: Ange Postecoglou shares Micky van de Ven and Richarlison injury latest
Spurs head to Fulham on Saturday evening

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Micky van de Ven will miss Tottenham's match against Fulham on Saturday, with Ragu Dragusin to earn his first start in his place.

Van de Ven, 22, was substituted shortly after half-time in Sunday's 4-0 win at Aston Villa with a suspected hamstring injury.

Postecoglou says he will not be available at Craven Cottage, but allayed any fears of a serious injury by revealing his spell on the sidelines will be a short one.

January signing Dragusin, who cost £21.5million from Genoa, will earn a first Spurs start as he deputises for the Dutchman.

Meanwhile, Richarlison has missed the last two weeks with a knee injury but has trained this week and is set to be available for the trip south of the Thames.

"They're the only two", Postecoglou said of Van de Ven and Richarlison.

"Everyone else is the same as last week. Micky: nothing too significant. He'll miss tomorrow, but we're quite confident with the international break that he won't miss much more. I think we took him off at the right time to be honest.

"Richy: he trained today and should be available tomorrow."

The Spurs manager said of Dragusin: "I'll take the suspense out of it. He'll start tomorrow. It's a good opportunity for him. We signed him with a view [that] it was quite clear we were going to be short in that position.

"He's had to be patient for his opportunity, but that's not a surprise. Micky and [Cristian] Romero have been outstanding. I thought he was good when he came on the other day. He's a pretty self-assured guy. I think he can bring something else to us as a team. He's a very, very good defender."

Tottenham Matchday Preview
Fulham v Tottenham Hotspur | Saturday 16th March | 5.30pm | Craven Cottage | #FULTOT

The opposition

Aside from a drab month towards the end of 2023 that yielded just one point from a possible 15, it's been a successful first season in charge for Ange Postecoglou, with Spurs in a good position to secure Champions League football.
If the Premier League is allocated five spots, they look practically guaranteed to have a place amongst Europe's elite next season, as they currently sit six points above sixth-placed Manchester United, having played a game less.
Indeed, last week's highly-anticipated trip to Aston Villa could hardly have gone any better, with a 4-0 win for the North Londoners closing the gap on their fourth-placed opponents to just two points.

Fulham team news

For the first time this season, Marco Silva will have a full squad to choose from, though our Head Coach explained that Raúl Jiménez will need to build up his match fitness before he's in a position to start.

Spurs team news

Micky van de Ven will not make the trip across London after limping off at Villa Park, but Richarlison will return having missed the previous two with a knee injury. Fraser Forster is a long-term absentee, as are former Fulham pair Ryan Sessegnon and Manor Solomon.

"We know how good they are," he told FFCtv. "They're off the back of a 4-0 win away at Villa, which not many people do, so we know they'll be in a confident mood, but we also know that when we're at the Cottage and playing well, we're a difficult team to play. And we'll be making sure that we perform well to get the three points."

"Everyone at the Club – the players, the coaching staff – need to boost us to our maximum level and to make us play as best as we can."

Before The Whistle: Fulham v Tottenham Hotspur

I'm lookin' forward to a crackin' game of football, mate.

More than eight months on and the halo still hasn't slipped from everyone's favourite Premier League manager, Ange Postecoglu. He brings his Spurs side to Craven Cottage for the second time this season, hoping to avenge their Carabao Cup exit. However, we've not beat Spurs at home in the league since November 2008, with Simon Davies and Andrew Johnson getting on the scoresheet.

We're looking rather healthy in the squad department. Raul Jimenez is back in contention, but it's doubtful Marco would dislodge our man of the moment, Rodrigo Muniz. If our Brazilian starts ahead of loanee Armando Broja, we'll have to stump up £4m, per the details of our agreement with Chelsea.

Silva opted to keep Lukic and Reed in the centre against Wolves – a noble, if potentially misguided decision. I'd expect Joao Palhinha to settle back into the XI, with Cairney alongside him.

It's looking increasingly likely that Tosin will leave the club in the summer, despite despite Marco revealing in his press conference that the club is still actively trying to keep him. But it's even more apparent that he's the best option alongside Bassey, so it's a problem we'll just face when we come to it.

A win, however unlikely, wouldn't be enough to take us out of 12th – obviously. If we stay here any longer we'll have to start paying a mortgage. But it would take us to 38 points, which would be nice. We can't even slip into 13th, as Bournemouth don't play this weekend thanks to Wolves' involvement in the FA Cup. Pressure well and truly off, then. You Whites.

Fulham prepare new contract offer for star man to ward off AC Milan and Liverpool
Fulham are hoping to convince Tosin Adarabioyo to stay at Craven Cottage with a new contract offer

Fulham are getting ready to offer a big contract to Tosin Adarabioyo, according to reports. They want to keep him away from Liverpool and other top European clubs.

Adarabioyo's current contract ends this summer, and he's been free to chat with foreign clubs since January. Clubs like AC Milan and Marseille are interested, and Liverpool have also been keeping an eye on him.

But Fulham hope a good contract will convince him to stay.

Adarabioyo, who is 26 years old, was thinking about leaving at the end of this season, report Mail Online. But he's been playing well for Marco Silva this season, even though there's uncertainty about his future.

His performances have caught the attention of England manager Gareth Southgate.

Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite and Liverpool's Joe Gomez were picked for England's upcoming friendlies with Brazil and Belgium. But Adarabioyo's stats are just as good as other top English centre-backs, even though he's only played 14 Premier League games this season because of injury.

Pre-Spurs Press Conference
In Friday's pre-match press conference, Marco Silva was full of praise for Ange Postecoglou and the "brave" football he's got his Tottenham Hotspur side playing.

The Australian has settled quickly in North London, with Spurs looking a fairly safe bet to be playing Champions League football next term.

"A great job from Ange, no doubts about it," Silva said of his counterpart. "Big, big transformation.

"I'm not talking about the club because I'm not there, but the way the team plays. I can tell there is a big, big change in the way they play – the approach and the way they have been brave, the quality as well.

"They started so, so strong. Of course, during the season you can have some ups and downs, but they've been really brave. Difficult to play against, and credit for him.

"And for the players, because it's not just the manager, the players have to understand, and they understood clearly what was the idea, they bought into it for sure, and you can see that on the pitch."

Saturday's late kick-off will mark a third meeting with Spurs this season, with the spoils shared so far – we knocked them out of the League Cup back in August, before they took the points at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a couple of months later.

"It's going to be the third time that we're going to play against them," Silva stated. "We lost away, we went through in the Carabao Cup against them at home.

"If you asked me if I would like to repeat the same performance that we had at Craven Cottage when we played against them in the Carabao Cup, I would love it because we played really well that game.

"We controlled them well, against a brave side and a top quality side. We were really brave as well to play in the way we wanted and to make life really difficult for them. And, of course, it's going to be the same approach tomorrow, knowing that they are a really difficult side to play.

"Any time that you make a mistake, they can punish you with the threat that they have in the attack line, always with [James] Maddison, [Yves] Bissouma and [Pape] Sarr, or [Rodrigo] Bentancur, ready to provide for the attacking players.

"Different setup from the two full-backs, but full-backs that can really make a difference in the attacking line as well. And because of that they can create all these problems for the opposition sides.

"It's up to us to have a good and very strong approach. On the ball, I know that we are going to create problems for them."

Wilson: 'We're looking up and not down'
Harry Wilson is targeting a strong finish to the Premier League for Fulham – insisting the Whites are looking up the table rather than down despite defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of tomorrow night's televised London derby against Tottenham Hotspur, the Welsh winger revealed that he hasn't given up hope of a late run in the European spots:

"Looking at the table, I think we're in a good position. I feel like we're looking up and not down. With the games left, we need to make sure we're performing well – like we have been in the past few weeks – and see if we can nick a European place. Up to now, it has been a strong season, there's certain games that we look at and feel that we maybe could of got more out of – but I feel like, in the last ten games, we're a good position and look to talk as many points as possible.

We want to win every game we play. At the Cottage, I think we've been good this year. As you said, we've beaten Arsenal and that's no easy feat. Spurs are in a good moment – they beat Villa – but we have shown that we can go toe-to-toe with any team in this league. We also feel that we're on our game, we can definitely get the three points."

Silva targets Tottenham repeat
Marco Silva wants Fulham to repeat their League Cup victory over Tottenham Hotspur earlier this season – but knows that the Whites will have to beat at their very best to record a third home Premier League derby success for the first time in the club's history.

The Fulham head coach was full of praise for the job that Ange Postecoglou has done since taking over at Spurs last summer, telling this afternoon's pre-match press conference:

"A great job from Ange, no doubts about it. Big, big transformation. I'm not talking about the club because I'm not there, but the way the team plays. I can tell there is a big, big change in the way they play – the approach and the way they have been brave, the quality as well. They started so, so strong. The players have to understand, and they understood clearly what was the idea, they bought into it for sure, and you can see that on the pitch."

Silva is relishing the chance to go toe-to-toe with Tottenham after their excellent display at Villa Park last Sunday – and wants his charges to replicate the application and desire they showed in beating Postecoglou's men on penalties back in August.

"It's going to be the third time that we're going to play against them. We lost away, we went through in the Carabao Cup against them at home. If you asked me if I would like to repeat the same performance that we had at Craven Cottage when we played against them in the Carabao Cup, I would love it because we played really well that game. Fulham v Tottenham Hotspur

TEAM NEWS
Fulham welcome back Raul Jimenez, who has resumed training after missing six games with a hamstring injury, meaning they have a fully fit squad.

Joao Palhinha and Willian began on the bench last weekend and could return to the starting line-up.

Tottenham are without defender Micky van de Ven, who sustained a minor hamstring injury against Aston Villa.

His absence could mean January signing Radu Dragusin starts a first Premier League game.

Richarlison is expected to be available despite a knee issue.

Fulham vs Spurs | Confirmed kit colours
We will be in an unfamiliar kit colour combination on Saturday when we travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham in the Premier League (kick-off 5.30pm UK time).

The hosts will be wearing their usual white shirts with black sleeves, coupled with black shorts and black socks.

Because of that, we'll be using our navy blue away shirts and shorts.

But with Fulham wearing dark-coloured socks, we'll be using white socks instead of the usual navy blue ones associated with our away kit.

We previously wore the same blue-blue-white combination at Brentford and Burnley earlier in the campaign.

Fulham's goalkeeper will wear red on Saturday, with ours in yellow.

Marco Silva gives Fulham target before Tottenham match after UEFA rule change
Fulham are 12th in the Premier League and seven points off eighth ahead of Saturday's visit of Tottenham

Fulham boss Marco Silva has his sights set on improving the team's finish from last season, but he admits that aiming for a spot in Europe will be tough. With more spots available in the expanded Champions League next season, even finishing fifth in the Premier League could lead to a place in the top European competition.

This would mean that eighth place could potentially secure a spot in the Europa Conference League. However, after a 1-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend, Fulham currently sit in 12th place, seven points behind Brighton in eighth.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's game against Tottenham, Silva said: "Europe? Difficult this season.

"Was difficult last season and if it is going to be a target for next season, it is always going to be difficult – not just for Fulham, and that wasn't our target. Our goals were clear from the beginning of the season. Even for the teams who have that target, they budget for that and they prepare the season for that, it is difficult.

"We know when the games start, the budgets don't play and the teams play on the pitch. Of course we want more and we wanted – for example – to have a different result last week, in terms of the position in the table it was a really important game for us.

"Probably the way we played, we deserved the three points and if it was completely different, we are talking about a different position in the table. Every week that we don't get the three points, it is getting more difficult for us to climb the table.

"We want to fight for three points in every game and if we can improve the position from last season, we are going to try 100 per cent. About Europe? We never spoke about it from the beginning of the season."

Fulham enjoyed a victory over Spurs in the Carabao Cup in August before they lost 2-0 on the road in the Premier League in October. Centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo missed both matches due to a groin injury but has established himself as a regular since his return in November.

Adarabioyo's contract ends this summer and Silva expressed his wish to keep the 26 year old. "Yes, I would love to," he said. "We have three players at the end of contract. Him, Bobby (De Cordova-)Reid and Kenny (Tete).

"Kenny has a clause in his contract that we can trigger and do something before. The three players we would like to keep because they are important for us and they are part of the furniture of the football club.

"Tosin is a really important one. Of course we have been trying to renew with him. Let's hope we can have news as soon as possible because clearly I would like to keep him at our football club."

Fulham will have Raul Jimenez available against Spurs after he returned to training following a hamstring injury sustained in January.

Andreas Pereira ends search for belonging in embrace of Fulham and Brazil
As a child, Andreas Pereira would finish his football training and wait for his father to pick him up and take him home. The problem: his father, Marcos, was a senior professional at the same club, Lommel United in northern Belgium, and his own training session would often run late. One by one, Andreas's friends would get picked up and leave. Slowly the car park would empty. Still he waited on his own. "They forgot about me," he would think to himself.

The impatience and the impotence. The sensation of time passing, of being forgotten or overtaken, of wondering whether he would ever find home. In many ways these are the themes that would come to define Pereira's career as an adult: a career that has taken in six clubs across a decade, and yet which feels as if it is only now beginning.

Until this season he had never started more than 34 league games at any one club. Not at Manchester United, where he was signed as a 15-year-old prodigy after Sir Alex Ferguson intervened to get the deal over the line. Not at Granada under the brief and surreal stewardship of Tony Adams, nor at Valencia or Lazio or Flamengo, where he went on loan and was frequently played out of position on the wing. It took a newly promoted club in west London to give this gifted midfielder a direction and a purpose.

Now 28 and back in the Brazil squad for the first time in six years, this has arguably been his most complete season, even if – with one goal for a solid mid-table team – it's easy to overlook exactly what he's doing out there. But he ranks seventh for key passes in the Premier League this season, and the six players above him – Bruno Fernandes, Pascal Gross, Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka, Kieran Trippier and Julián Álvarez – are considered elite creators. Perhaps, with a more reliable source of goals ahead of him, Pereira would be considered among that bracket.

More than this, he has become quietly indispensable to the way Fulham defend under Marco Silva: leading the initial press and then organising the second press. "Of all our midfielders, Andreas is probably the only one who can do that role really well," Silva said recently. This season, compared with last, he is taking fewer shots but seeing more of the ball, dribbling and tackling more, returning to the predominantly creative role he played in his two seasons on loan at Flamengo.

Were it not for a fateful phone call in the summer of 2022, Flamengo is probably where Pereira would be. He had gone to Brazil in search of a fresh start and was on the verge of building a new life there with his young family. But of course there was a kernel of resentment, having spent eight years trying and failing to establish himself in English football. "I wanted to show people I could play in the Premier League," he told the latest (excellent) episode of the Fulham Fix podcast. "I didn't feel I had my top level at United. I wanted to show them: look, you made a big mistake here."

In truth, what happened at United was not so much a mistake as a litany of unfortunate mishaps. Both Louis van Gaal and José Mourinho rated him highly before being sacked. And it was interesting to hear Ole Gunnar Solskjær last week naming Pereira as one of the players – along with Jesse Lingard and Dan James – around whom he built the hard-running counterattacking team that beat Manchester City three times during the 2019-20 season. But there was constant pressure, internally and externally, for a more possession-dominant approach. Fernandes was signed and quickly made the No 10 position his own. Pereira was loaned to Lazio during the pandemic and never played for United again.

This was the pressure point Silva squeezed when he picked up the phone. The manager told Pereira he had unfinished business in England. That he had not shown the Premier League who he really was. He pointed to the success he had enjoyed with Richarlison at Watford. And it is striking how many of Silva's signings at Craven Cottage – Pereira, Willian, Bernd Leno, Alex Iwobi, Armando Broja – are players who were once at big clubs but now have a point to prove. Who have slipped to the fringes of the elite and are desperate to claw their way back. Perhaps this is not a sustainable long-term strategy: Fulham currently have the oldest squad in the Premier League. But right now, it is a group with the ideal blend of high standards, experience and impatience.

Even if Pereira's exploits have largely slipped under the radar this season, at least one man has been taking notice. The new Brazil coach, Dorival Júnior, knows Pereira from Flamengo, visited him at Fulham's training ground Motspur Park last month and has now recalled him to the squad for the forthcoming friendlies against England and Spain. He may end up playing in a slightly deeper role for Brazil than he does for Fulham: the role for which he was also reportedly – and unsuccessfully – targeted by Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq in January as a replacement for Jordan Henderson.

It's easy to see why Pereira was happy to stay put. Perhaps the best way of interpreting this fitful career is as a search for belonging: the midfielder mistaken for a winger, the Brazilian born in Belgium, uprooted to England as a child, dispatched around the world and forced to start afresh every time, forever worrying that he had been forgotten for good. It took a while, but Pereira may finally have found his way home.

Cairney: 'Frustrating' Wolves defeat stings
Tom Cairney has told the Footballers' Football Podcast that Fulham's defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers ranked as one of the 'most frustrating' games of the season.

Marco Silva's side were beaten 2-1 at Molineux last weekend despite dominating the first half and passing up several glorious chances to take the lead. The Fulham captain, introduced as a second half substitute, scored an own goal and told the BBC podcast:

"I feel like it was one of the most frustrating games of the season. We dominated away from home in large parts of the game, we were looking for our third straight win and the injuries they got and picked up during the game, I think it's fair to say that they ended it with a much weaker side. They had no Neto, Cunha, Hwang Hee-chang, a devastating front three that weren't on the pitch."

Daily Mail: Fulham prepare counter-move as Milan express interest in star man
Fulham want to try and convince Tosin Adarabioyo to stay at the club amid interest from abroad, a report claims, and they are preparing an improved contract offer.

According to the Daily Mail, Fulham are aware that Adarabioyo has suitors abroad and thus they are readying a new deal that could make him 'one of the best paid players at the club'.

The centre-back's current contract runs out this summer which means that he is free to talk with other clubs, and the report mentions that Milan and Marseille are keen on signing him, while Liverpool are in the mix too.

The 26-year-old has only made 14 Premier League appearances this season having picked up an injury, but his performances have 'put him on the radar of England manager Gareth Southgate'.

Fulham boss Marco Silva praised Adarabioyo recently, perhaps in an attempt to try get him to consider penning fresh terms, given the Milan links.

"In December, when it was really busy, he helped the team to reach a really good level. He is a really important player for us inside the football club," he said.

"He is growing. He is a really good player and of course we always expect better things from him, and if he is going to be the case to go for the national team (then) even better, because it's always the ambition of a football player."

Fulham vs Tottenham: Preview and Prediction

Fulham host Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend and they will be looking to bounce back from the defeat against Wolves with a positive result at home.
Fulham are 12th in the league table right now and they will be pushing for a top-half finish. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur picked up an impressive win over Aston Villa in their last league game and they will look to close the gap with the top four.

They are currently two points adrift of fourth-placed Aston Villa and a win here could send them above the West Midlands club in the table.

Tottenham will be desperate for a Champions League finish and they will look to grind out an away win here.

The North London outfit have an impressive record against Fulham and it remains to be seen whether they can extend that run of form.

Team news and tactics
Fulham
The home team have a fully fit squad to choose from and they are likely to shape up in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Bernd Leno will start in goal for Fulham behind a back four of Timothy Castagne, Tosin Adarabioyo, Calvin Bassey and Antonee Robinson. Castagne and Robinson will be deployed as the full backs and they will look to contribute at both ends of the pitch.

In the midfield pivot, Joao Palhinha will start alongside Tom Cairney. The two players will look to protect the central defence and break up opposition attacks.

Andreas Pereira will be deployed as the attacking midfielder here and he will look to create goal scoring opportunities for his teammates in the final third. Harry Wilson and Alex Iwobi will be deployed in the wide areas.

Rodrigo Muniz has done quite well in recent weeks and he will lead the line for Fulham here.

Probable Lineup (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Adarabioyo, Bassey, Robinson; Palhinha, Cairney; Wilson, Pereira, Iwobi; Muniz

Tottenham
Ryan Sessegnon has been ruled out for the season with the thigh injury, the likes of Manor Solomon and Micky van de Ven will return later this month from their knee and thigh injuries respectively.

Fraser Forster is expected back next month after sustaining an ankle injury in training.

Spurs will shape up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Guglielmo Vicario in goal.

Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie will continue as the full backs. They will look to keep the defence compact and help out in the attack.

Cristian Romero will start alongside January signing Radu Dragusin in central defence. In the midfield pivot, Pape Matar Sarr will start alongside Yves Bissouma. The two players will look to breakup opposition attacks and initiate transitions from the deep.

James Maddison will continue as the central attacking midfielder and he will look to link up with the attacker and create goal scoring opportunities in the final third.

Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson will start in the wide areas. The two players will look to add pace and creativity from the flanks.

Son Heung-min will lead the line for Tottenham.

Probable Lineup (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma; Kulusevski, Maddison, Johnson; Son

Key Stats

Tottenham have won 9 of their last 11 matches against Fulham in all competitions.
Tottenham are unbeaten in five of the last six Premier League matches.
Fulham are unbeaten in four of the last six Premier League matches.
11 goals have been scored in the last six meetings between the two teams.
Fulham have conceded at least once in five of the last six matches across all competitions.

Key Player
Son Heung-min
The South Korean international has scored 14 goals and picked up 8 assists in the Premier League this season.

He managed to score against Aston Villa in the last game and he picked up two assists as well. The South Korean is in red hot form and he is our key player to watch out for.

Apart from his ability to score goals, Son will chip in with creativity and flair in the final third as well.

The 31-year-old will look to make a big difference in the final third and take advantage of Fulham's vulnerabilities.

Prediction
Fulham 1-2 Tottenham
Both teams will be desperate for a win for very different reasons and this is likely to be a cracking context.

Tottenham are certainly the better team on paper and they should be able to grind out a positive result here.

They have the better set of attackers and Fulham will struggle to contain them. A narrow away win is on the cards.

Fulham FC Fans Lash Out For Exorbitant Ticket Prices
Fulham FC is set to take on their rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, over the weekend at Craven Cottage. However, before the teams even stop on the field, soccer fans are lashing out, calling ticket prices to the match unattainable.

The cheapest adult ticket, listed in the "family zone," is going for £61 — and the price only increases from there, depending on the stand and location. Fans are most disgruntled to see the prices in Fulham's new "Riverside" section, which saw a significant increase. While the section has helped increase the venue's capacity to 29,300, tickets start in the "Bronze" section for £120, followed by "Silver," "Gold," and "Platinum" areas priced at £125 per seat.

Fulham supporters took to social media to air their frustrations, calling-out the team for "ripping off" and "pricing-out" fans.

Fulham is set to take on Tottenham on Saturday, March 16 at 1:30 p.m. From there, they'll face-off Sheffield United, Nottm Forest, Newcastle, West Ham, and Liverpool. Find their full schedule and tickets here.

Fulham to take part in Dallas Cup

Five-star Fulham U21s win thriller at Leeds
Stoppage time strikes from Terrell Works and Delano McCoy-Splatt ensured Fulham's under 21s came away from three points from an end-to-end encounter at Leeds United despite letting a 3-0 lead slip in a crazy final twenty minutes at the LNER Community Stadium in York.

Hayden Mullins' men dominated the first half but couldn't find a goal to reflect their superiority before the half-time break. Kristian Sekularac, called up to the Swiss under-21 squad, looked to have picked out in-form centre forward Callum Osmand only for excellent defending from Dan Toulson to snuff out the chance. Josh King then dragged a shot wide of the goal after a flowing passing move before McCoy-Splatt looked destined to break the deadlock when picked out by a fine cross from makeshift left back George Okkas but Leeds goalkeeper Dani van den Heuvel saved superbly.

Captain Kris Moore then blocked a Sekularac shot before brilliantly clearing off the line after Jamaican international McCoy-Splatt had tucked a shot under van den Heuvel having initially failed to take another excellent delivery from Okkas under his spell. Fulham finished the first half piling the pressure on the Leeds goal. Osmand headed a corner straight at van den Heuvel, Luc de Fougerolles nodded another Adrion Pajaziti flag-kick fractionally wide before the Albanian under-21 international clipped the post with a whipped free-kick that missed everybody on its way through.

Pajaziti's set-plays had caused all sorts of havoc in the Leeds' defence and it was no surprise that the midfielder's dead-ball prowess gave the young Whites the lead within three minutes of the restart. His corner looped past a stranded van den Heuvel off the unfortunate Joe Snowdon and into the net despite the best efforts of full-back Harvey Sutcliffe on the line. The visitors wasted no time in doubling their lead with Pajaziti finding King with a lovely ball from the right three minutes later and Fulham's number ten found a fantastic finish to match his spellbinding control.

Moore made a brave block to prevent Osmand from notching a third, but that escape proved academic when Joe Richards sent King tumbling in the penalty area. Referee Steven Copeland pointed to the spot and Pajaziti calmly converted the penalty to give the visitors a 3-0 lead. Mullins withdrew King and Pajaziti and Leeds hinted at what was to come when Harvey Araujo was forced to intervene after Snowdon sought to release substitute Rhys Chadwick, but the home side were indebted to a stunning fingertip save from van den Heuvel when the goalkeeper somehow kept out a powerful Okkas drive from just outside the box.

Leeds got themselves a lifeline from their very next attack as Snowdon's low cross eluded Luca Thomas in the middle but was diverted past Alex Borto by the stretching de Fougerolles. The home side drew heart from that goal and reduced the deficit to just a single goal when Toulson won the ball back and found the dangerous Thomas on the left flank. Snowdon was afforded too much space when he latched onto the cross and crashed a fine finish high into the net.

Incredibly, Leeds looked to have completed an outstanding comeback when Joe Richards worked a clever one-two with substitute Morten Spencer and strode into the area before drilling a low finish between Borto and the American goalkeeper's near post. But the drama was far from complete. Fulham kept their wits about them and restored their lead with just two minutes of normal time to play when Tanton swung over a free-kick from the right and Works finished after his first effort had been blocked.

Three minutes into stoppage time McCoy-Splatt made sure of the points when he fired past a crestfallen van den Heuvel after being set up by Works. The young Whites might have made heavy weather of this victory, but they were eventually rewarded for an enterprising display – and no little heart.

Fulham vs Tottenham: Preview, predictions and lineups

Tottenham can go fourth in the Premier League with a win over Fulham
Micky van de Ven absent from the Spurs defence after suffering injury in Aston Villa victory
Fulham still fighting for a top-half finish

Tottenham continue their tense fight for the Champions League places on Saturday when they visit fellow Londoners Fulham.

Ange Postecoglou's side can move into the top four at Aston Villa's expense with a victory before their rivals play on Sunday. Buoyed by their emphatic 4-0 win over the Villans last Sunday, Spurs know this is a good opportunity to build on that result.

Fulham have hit some Premier League form recently, winning three out of four matches, but they fell to a disappointing 2-1 loss away at Wolves last weekend which has hindered their chances of finishing in the top half.

Here is 90min's preview of Tottenham's trip to Fulham.

What time does Fulham vs Tottenham kick-off?

    Location: London, England
    Stadium: Craven Cottage
    Date: Saturday 16 March
    Kick-off Time: 17:30 GMT / 12:30 ET / 09:30 PT
    Referee: Rob Jones
    VAR: David Coote

Fulham vs Tottenham H2H Record (Last Five Games)
    Fulham: 1 win
    Tottenham: 4 wins
    Draws: 0

Fulham team news
Marco Silva should have his whole Fulham squad available for this match.

The Cottagers were unable to rely on Raul Jimenez in the loss to Wolves but he is expected to be fit to face Tottenham, though the excellent form of Rodrigo Muniz means the Mexico international will likely be on the bench.

Joao Palhinha was a substitute last time out but, against a team like Tottenham with so many runners, he is expected to start, meaning Sasa Lukic may drop out of the starting XI.

Fulham predicted lineup vs Tottenham
Fulham predicted lineup vs Tottenham (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Adarabioyo, Bassey, Robinson; Reed, Palhinha; Wilson, Pereira, Iwobi; Muniz.

Tottenham team news
While the victory over Aston Villa was a potentially huge moment in Tottenham's season, Micky van de Ven picked up a fresh knee injury and is not expected to play. That will likely see January signing Radu Dragusin make his first start for the club.

Ryan Sessegnon, Fraser Forster and Manor Solomon are all still on the treatment table, but Richarlison may be closer to availability than previously thought having been included in Brazil's squad for the March international break.

Even if the former Everton attacker makes the squad, Brennan Johnson should get another start in the attack.

Tottenham predicted lineup vs Fulham
Tottenham predicted lineup vs Fulham (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma; Kulusevski, Maddison, Johnson; Son.

Fulham vs Tottenham score prediction
Fulham have been a very difficult team to beat at times this season and Arsenal fell victim to them at Craven Cottage earlier in the campaign, but Tottenham will be flying after that win against Villa which has put them in a great position for the top four.

A leaky Spurs defence means the Cottagers will likely find the back of the net at some point, but there is too much firepower and confidence in the Tottenham attack for Silva's side to get a result on Saturday evening.

Prediction: Fulham 1-3 Tottenham

Ange hands Dragusin 1st start in Spurs predicted lineup vs Fulham
The Lilywhites could make it three wins on the trot in the Premier League tomorrow.

Tottenham Hotspur have clicked into gear at the perfect time, with the campaign entering its crucial late phase and the race for Champions League qualification heating up.

Whether the Premier League will receive a fifth spot in Europe's elite club competition next season remains to be seen but given that Spurs are only two points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa after last weekend's victory - and with a game in hand - there will be confidence that fortunes can be placed beyond doubt with a top four finish.

That said, anything other than victory at Craven Cottage will unravel the recent gains made and hand Manchester United a lifeline in their own pursuit of Champions League football, currently six points behind Ange Postecoglou's side having played a game extra.

Fulham will not make life easy for their London rivals on Saturday evening, with Marco Silva instilling discipline and togetherness that has seen the Cottagers pull off recent victories over Brighton & Hove Albion and Man United (at Old Trafford).

Richarlison remains sidelined with a knee injury while Micky van de Ven was forced off at Villa Park and is expected to miss this one out. Ryan Sessegnon and Manor Solomon are longer-term absentees and are nowhere near a comeback.

1 GK - Guglielmo Vicario
The defence gets a lot of credit but Guglielmo Vicario has been a monstrous presence between the sticks this season, and the 27-year-old looks set to stay for the years to come under Postecoglou's leadership.

 2 RB - Pedro Porro
Pedro Porro has been utterly brilliant in the top flight this season and has so far chalked up seven assists from 24 fixtures, also completing 80% of his passes, averaging 1.7 key passes, 2.9 tackles, 2.5 clearances, 5.6 ball recoveries and 5.0 successful duels per game, as per Sofascore.

Dynamic? Yes. World-class? He's getting there.

 3 CB - Cristian Romero
Sure, Cristian Romero has his detractors, but while he might be a tiny bit hot-headed, his elite defensive skill set has been the bedrock of Postecoglou's success this term, blending brilliantly with Van de Ven's athleticism and enterprise.

Fulham have some powerful figures in their squad but there's no doubt that the Argentina international has the tools to deal with them.

 4 CB - Radu Dragusin
Radu Dragusin will start at Craven Cottage, with Postecoglou eradicating any doubt in his pre-match press conference and confirming as such.

Van de Ven is injured but this is exactly why the Romanian defender was signed from Genoa for £27m in January, and he will be desperate to make an impression.

 5 LB - Destiny Udogie
Daniel Levy signed Destiny Udogie from Udinese in a £15m package in 2022 and he spent the 2022/23 campaign back on loan with the Serie A side. This was a prudent move; it's now paying off.

One of the Premier League's finest full-backs this season, Udogie is ferocious in attack and formidable in defence.

 6 CM - Yves Bissouma
Yves Bissouma has enjoyed a much-improved campaign in a Tottenham shirt this year, albeit battling against the over-aggressiveness that has caused three suspensions.

As per FBref, the Malian midfielder ranks among the top 1% of positional peers across Europe's top five leagues over the past year for pass completion, the top 4% for passes attempted, the top 14% for progressive passes, the top 9% for successful take-ons, the top 5% for tackles and the top 7% for interceptions per 90.

He really is key in the centre of the park and will be vital against tough-tackling counterpart Joao Palhinha.

7 CM - Pape Matar Sarr
He collected it, he drove, he whipped it toward the box, just so. Pape Matar Sarr is a man of many talents, and despite his youth and inexperience, he looks the part at the centre of a Tottenham team targetting success.

His delightful cross kickstarted Spurs' second-half dismantling of Aston Villa and he will start once again. He makes such a difference.

 8 RW - Brennan Johnson
Having posted three goals and four assists in the Premier League across his past ten matches, starting just six of those, Brennan Johnson will feel that he has done enough to earn a starting berth at Fulham.

His role from the outset would come at the expense of the £110k-per-week Dejan Kulusevski, described as Tottenham's "engine" by Sky Sports' Jamie Weir, but then rotation is healthy and the Welshman can't really do much more to retain his starting berth.

 9 AM - James Maddison
James Maddison is one of the Premier League's finest playmakers and looks to be a real steal at £40m, arriving from relegated Leicester City back in June.

There's no question that he will be lodged in the No. 10 position, and you wouldn't bet against his influence harvesting a goal or an assist on Saturday.

 10 LW - Timo Werner
He might have only been introduced in the late stage against Aston Villa but Timo Werner scored for the second game running, netting a close-range strike as his side narrowed the gap to the top four.

The Germany international could start to make up an electric flank, with Johnson on the alternate, and with Maddison pulling the strings centrally, it could spell danger for the hosts.

 11 CF - Heung-min Son
Heung-min Son added a goal and two assists to his seasonal tally at Villa Park, taking his seasonal return up to 14 goals and eight assists. He's only bagged one goal from seven matches against Fulham though.

The South Korean has really stepped up since donning the captain's armband since the start of the season and there are melodious murmurings that a fresh deal lies around the corner...

Predicted Spurs line-up in full vs Fulham: (GK) Guglielmo Vicario; (RB) Pedro Porro, (CB) Cristian Romero, (CB) Radu Dragusin, (LB) Destiny Udogie; (CM) Yves Bissouma, (CM) Pape Matar Sarr; (RW) Brennan Johnson, (AM) James Maddison, (LW) Timo Werner; (CF) Heung-min Son

Ange Postecoglou says 'magnificent' Spurs star should be back v Fulham
Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has issued a positive update regarding Richarlison's fitness ahead of the Fulham game.

The Spurs boss, speaking to reporters at his press conference on Friday, claimed that the Brazil international took part in the day's training and "should" be available.

Richarlison has missed Tottenham's last two Premier League games due to a knee injury he suffered in February's 2-1 loss against Wolves.

The 26-year-old was in great form prior to his injury setback. He registered five goals in as many games for Spurs, including a brace against former club Everton.

However, it looks as though Richarlison should be good to go for Saturday evening's encounter against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

"Richy, he trained today and should be available tomorrow," the Evening Standard quoted Postecoglou as saying.

Richarlison will be raring to go for Spurs in pursuit of Premier League top-four spot
Richarlison had been in outstanding form for Tottenham after recovering from surgery to rectify a long-standing groin issue.

The 'magnificent' Spurs man struggled for much of his maiden season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and he continued to struggle this term until he went under the knife.

Now set to be back from another spell on the sidelines, Richarlison will be raring to go and eager to hit the ground running once again if he's available and gets the nod against Fulham.

Luckily, Tottenham haven't missed him too much in his absence, which is testament to their strength in depth and goals from all over the pitch.

James Maddison, Brennan Johnson, Son Heung-min and Timo Werner all found the back of the net for Spurs against Aston Villa.

Son and Werner also netted against Crystal Palace, with Cristian Romero also getting on the scoresheet.

Should Tottenham get the better of Fulham on Saturday, they'll leapfrog Aston Villa into fourth.

There's a chance Tottenham can stay put in the Champions League spots into the international break, depending on how Villa fare at West Ham on Sunday.

Peter Crouch predicts who is going to win today between Fulham and Tottenham
This weekend, Tottenham Hotspur will look to climb into the top four of the Premier League table going into the international break.

Spurs, currently fifth in the standings, head to Fulham in a 5:30pm kick-off on Saturday. Should Ange Postecoglou's charges win, they'll leapfrog Aston Villa into fourth.

There's a chance Tottenham can stay put in the Champions League spots into the international break, depending on how Villa fare away at West Ham on Sunday.

In terms of the latest fitness news, Micky van de Ven will sit this game out for Spurs, while Richarlison is back in contention after recovering from a knee injury.

Meanwhile, Fulham currently sit 12th in the standings and will be eager to push into the top half over the coming weeks. Chelsea and Newcastle currently stand in their way.

The Cottagers have Raul Jimenez back after recovering from a hamstring injury, while Joao Palhinha and Willian, who were on the bench last weekend, could come back into the XI.

Peter Crouch has now shared his prediction for the game, and he feels Postecoglou's charges will eke out a narrow win at Craven Cottage.

Spurs have strong record against Fulham in league
It's not a surprising prediction for Crouch to make. Tottenham are a fairly strong proposition at present, but Fulham won't make it easy for them in west London.

The Cottagers have beaten Spurs already this season, triumphing on penalties in the Carabao Cup second round back in August. However, Tottenham won the league reserve 2-0 in north London back in October.

Fulham have lost 14 of their past 16 Premier League games against Tottenham. They are also winless in nine top-flight contests since a 1-0 victory at White Hart Lane back March 2013.

Up next: Tottenham Hotspur (h)
Fulham will look to return to winning ways after the disappointing of being beaten at Wolverhampton Wanderers last week – with both Marco Silva and Harry Wilson in confident mood as Champions' League chasing Tottenham Hotspur come to Craven Cottage for the Saturday Night Football. Silva and Wilson have spoken of their belief that the Whites can match anybody on their day, especially on home turf, and Fulham can draw upon the experience of being the first English outfit to inflict a defeat on Ange Postecoglou in English football.

Spurs should travel to SW6 in good heart after a comprehensive dismantling of European contenders Aston Villa at Villa Park that puts their hopes of qualifying for European's elite competition back in their own hands – and they will also be buoyed by an home win in the reverse league fixture that felt far too easy. Silva outlined the scary composition of the attacking options at Postecoglou's disposal, with the influential James Maddison back amongst the goals in the Midlands and looking as if he is coming into form at just the right time to make a late run in Gareth Southgate's England squad for this summer's European Championships in Germany.

Tottenham were similarly clinical after suffering the shock of going behind to Crystal Palace in their last home outing – and have plenty of quality with which to trouble a Fulham defence that appeared fairly frail in the Black Country with Calvin Bassey and Tosin Adarabioyo, who had previously forged an excellent and miserly understanding after the Nigerian international's return from the African Cup of Nations, both suffering off days. Postecoglou will have to do without Micky van de Veen, who limped off against Villa, but can call upon Richarlison, a scorer at the Cottage in the League Cup tie back in August, who has recovered from a knee problem. There will be no emotional return for either Ryan Sessegnon or Manor Solomon, who are both sidelined with long-term injuries.

Spurs' resurgence will have boosted belief in the white half of north London that they can reel in Villa, whom they are now only two points behind with a game in hand, despite Postecoglou memorably insisting that qualification for the Champions' League was 'not a golden Willy Wonka ticket'. The Australian's commitment to front foot football and his easy-going manner have been a refreshing reset to the overhyped and winner-takes-all hysteria of Premier League football, but even a relaxed Postecoglou will be fully aware of the ramifications of failing to deliver success under an unforgiving Daniel Levy. The no-holds barred approach does fit more comfortably with Tottenham's traditions than Antonio Conte's more pragmatic style and should make for a very watchable London derby in tomorrow's late kick off.

It may also stand to give Fulham a chance of breaking one of their longest top flight hoodoos. The Cottagers haven't won a league encounter against Tottenham since former Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov scored the only goal at White Hart in 2013 – and tomorrow's visitors have won on their last seven straight league visits to Craven Cottage. Silva certainly won't be resting on his laurels, or putting men behind the ball, but may have to rethink his starting line-up after a miserable afternoon at Molineux – where Fulham were dominant only to pay the penalty for failing to take a number of presentable first-half opportunities.

The Fulham head coach also had reason to regret not putting Joao Palhinha straight back into the starting line-up on his return from suspension, with the Whites all too easily outgunned in the engine room once Wolves stepped up the intensity at the start of the second half. Palhinha's peerless tackling will be required to quell several Tottenham threats tomorrow and there is probably a strong case for restoring Willian to the starting line-up and offering a first Premier League start in a Fulham shirt to Adama Traore, who looked sharp on his old stomping ground – despite being introduced when the game looked beyond his new employers. The exact composition of the Fulham line-up will be intriguing, especially as Silva's bench looked as strong as it had all season last weekend and could be strengthened by the return from a hamstring injury of Raul Jimenez.

The Mexican striker, left out of his country's Nations' League squad today as a consequence of his recent injuries, is unlikely to be able to force his way past Rodrigo Muniz to make an immediate return to the starting line-up. The former Flamengo forward was quieter than he has been in recent weeks at Wolves, but still had a header scrambled off the line and posed problems for the home defence, with one brilliant turn in the first half, almost leading to another goalscoring opportunity. There's been much conjecture about how Muniz's rich vein of goalscoring form has both catapulted his value upwards and diminished Armando Broja's chances of playing time, although the pair struck up a promising partnership that almost dragged Fulham back from the dead in the closing stages. The Albanian international certainly won't be starting the remainder of Fulham's matches – and, therefore, incurring the Cottagers a cost of around £4m under the terms of his loan from Chelsea, but he looks a useful option off the bench when goals are required.

MY FULHAM XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, A. Robinson, Adarabioyo, Bassey; Palhinha, Lukic; Iwobi, Willian, Pereira; Muniz. Subs: Rodak, Tete, Ream, Reed, Cairney, De Cordova-Reid, Wilson, Broja, Jimenez.

Chelsea to receive huge financial windfall if forgotten player doesn't start this weekend
Chelsea waived a loan fee when they allowed Fulham to take Armando Broja to Craven Cottage in the January transfer window, but the Albania international has hardly played for his new club

Chelsea will pocket a cool £4million from one of their London neighbours if Armando Broja doesn't start for Fulham this weekend.

A deal was agreed for Broja, 22, to swap Stamford Bridge for Craven Cottage back in the winter transfer window. The Albania international was sought after by a number of Premier League clubs after finding first-team football at Chelsea hard to come by - but he's experienced similar issues at Fulham.

Broja has yet to start a single match for the Whites in the wake of Rodrigo Muniz's red-hot form. However, Broja's dearth of match action will help the Blues bank a tidy sum if he remains on the bench for Fulham's Premier League meeting with Tottenham on Saturday.

The Sun outlined some of the terms behind the deal which took Broja across the capital earlier this week. Fulham did not have to pay a loan fee to land Broja per the initial agreement, but that would only stand if he started in 60 per cent of their remaining games.

Chelsea were happy with such terms after failing to find a buyer for Broja, who was valued in January at £50m. The idea was that his six-month stint at Fulham would put him in the shop window ahead of the summer, although that hasn't proven to be the case.

With just 10 games remaining this season, if Broja fails to start against Tottenham, Fulham would be unable to meet the threshold of starts needing to honour their agreement with Chelsea, therefore triggering a seven-figure payment to their London rivals.

Even with that financial penalty looming over them, it remains to be seen if Fulham will hand Broja his first start at the weekend. Muniz has made the No.9 spot his own in recent weeks after plundering five goals in his last six matches.

Chelsea could net £4m cash injection after today thanks to Premier League rivals
Chelsea are set to benefit from their Premier League rivals barely playing one of their loan players

Chelsea look set to receive a £4 million loan fee if Armando Broja is not named in the starting line-up for Fulham's clash with Tottenham Hotspur this evening.

Fulham signed the Albanian forward on loan on January transfer deadline day from their west London rivals until the end of the season. Chelsea originally asked the Cottagers for £50m to secure Broja's services permanently, but eventually settled on a loan deal with a fee dependent on the number of games he plays, with Fulham refusing to pay a straight £5m loan fee.

According to the Mail Online, Fulham agreed to pay £750k for the 22-year-old attacker, rising to £4m if he started fewer than 60 per cent of their remaining games. At the time of signing, Fulham had 16 fixtures left. With only 10 matches left this season, and Broja without a single start for Marco Silva's side, failure to name him in the starting line-up against Spurs will make it impossible for Fulham to reach Broja's 60 per cent threshold.

The striker has only made four appearances - all of which have come off the bench - since making the move across west London. He has not played more than 16 minutes in any encounter. Chelsea hoped that Broja would hit a run of form at Craven Cottage, which would increase his sell-on value, as they look to permanently part ways with the youngster in the upcoming window.

Fulham turned to Broja as a temporary solution to plug their misfiring attack, with few goals provided by Silva's forwards since the departure of Aleksandar Mitrovic to Saudi side Al-Hilal last summer. Broja's limited game time has not been down to a lack of effort, but the impressive performances of Brazilian striker Rodrigo Muniz.

Muniz, who struggled to break into Middlesbrough's team last season, is in red-hot form. He scored his first-ever Premier League goal in February as Fulham squandered a 2-0 lead to draw at Turf Moor. He has scored four goals in the following five games and was nominated for February Premier League Player of the Month. Brazil manager, Dorival Junior, even travelled to Fulham's training ground, Motspur Park, to scout the striker.

Fulham sit in 12th place with 35 points and have almost guaranteed their top-flight status for next season. The Cottagers reached the League Cup semi-final for the first time ever this season, but are now out of all domestic trophies, and are unlikely to challenge for the European places.

Their other attacking option, Raul Jimenez, started his Fulham career slowly but has bagged five goals so far this campaign. However, due to injuries and a suspension, he has only played three Premier League matches since 16 December.

Carlos Vinicius failed to convince and was shipped out on loan to Galatasaray. With Broja's stay in Fulham only temporary, Silva has opted to stick with Muniz. The young Brazilian will almost certainly lead the line for Fulham tonight in what will end up being a very expensive decision.

Fulham's Top-Ten Ambitions

Tosin's contract situation: Fulham coach Marco Silva reveals his stance
Portuguese football tactician Marco Silva was on media duties on Friday, on the eve of his side's Premier League meeting with Tottenham Hotspur, and one of the topics he addressed was the contract situation of Tosin Adarabioyo.

Tosin along with Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Kenny Tete could depart Craven Cottage as free agents at the end of the season if they don't extend their contracts.

The Manchester City academy product is really having an outstanding season at Fulham and even ahead of a lot of England internationals in terms of their stats.

Tosin was heavily linked with a departure from Fulham in the hours leading up to the close of the summer transfer window but a potential move to Monaco fell through because the Cottagers hadn't secured a replacement for him.

Silva has confirmed that Fulham are eager to extend Tosin's stay because he is an important player.

Asked if there's any latest on Tosin's contract situation, Silva told reporters: "We have three players that are at the end of their contracts, him and Bobby Reid plus Kenny (Tete) that we have a clause in his contract that we can trigger if we don't do something before and the three players we would like to keep them because they have been important for us.

"They are part of the 'furniture of this football club' if I can say. Tosin is a really important one, going direct for him.

"We have been trying to renew with him, the club they are speaking with him, his agent and the people that are taking care of his career and let's hope that we can have news as soon as possible.

"But clear if you ask me what I want, I'd like to keep him in our football club."

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Premier League, Ligue 1 and Serie A teams are monitoring the situation of Tosin with a view to signing him at zero cost in the summer.

Tottenham full squad revealed for Fulham as late Richarlison decision made with Van de Ven update
Tottenham news as Spurs look to jump into fourth with victory over midtable Fulham

It looks set to be a case of one in and one out for Ange Postecoglou with Tottenham as they host Fulham on Saturday evening. Spurs are aiming to leapfrog top four competitors Aston Villa - even if temporarily - and are in a strong position to do so.

Postecoglou will have almost a fully fit squad to work with in north London after six days off. Meanwhile, Marco Silva's Fulham are coming off the back of a disappointing defeat to Wolves last time out despite having the better of the chances.

Tottenham will start the day in fifth, two points behind Villa, but could end it with a small buffer ahead of Unai Emery's trip to West Ham on Sunday. They could also open up a sizeable nine-point gap to Manchester United in sixth, all but ending the chances of dropping out of the top five at this stage.

Whilst English clubs wait to find out if they will be granted an extra spot in the Champions League next year, Spurs are planning to do all they can to have things in their own hands regardless. With returning players from injury, it is coming together nicely at an ideal time.

Spurs did suffer the one blow at Villa Park last week but didn't let the sight of Micky van de Ven being helped off the field distract them. The 4-0 win in the Midlands swung the pendulum once more and Postecoglou is hopeful that his key centre-back will be fit for when the league resumes in two weeks time.

"Micky, nothing too significant," the head coach said on Friday. "He'll miss tomorrow. But we're quite confident if the recovery goes well with the international break, he shouldn't miss too much more. I think he came off at the right time to be honest. So while he misses tomorrow, it's still positive."

This isn't the first time that Van de Ven will be ruled out via injury but the break will allow the damage from his absence to be limited. Meanwhile, there are hopes that Richarlison could make his return to the side.

"Richy, he trained today so we'll just see how he pulls up," Postecoglou explained. "If he pulls up OK, he'll probably be available." The Brazilian has missed two games so far with a knee injury but looks to be making good progress.

With an otherwise familiar set of attacking options, there are still plenty of choices left to cover for him. Manor Solomon remains out with a long-term issue and there are still no impending returns for Ryan Sessegnon or Fraser Forster.

In terms of what Tottenham look like on the day, it may well be just the two changes to the 20 players selected feature. Here, football.london predicts what will be on offer.

Goalkeepers: Guglielmo Vicario, Brandon Austin

Defenders: Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie, Cristian Romero, Radu Dragusin, Emerson Royal, Ben Davies

Midfielders: Pape Matar Sarr, James Maddison, Yves Bissouma, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Giovani Lo Celso, Rodrigo Bentancur

Attackers: Timo Werner, Brennan Johnson, Son Heung-Min, Dejan Kulusevski, Dane Scarlett, Richarlison

Player explains why he chose Fulham over European giants – Marco Silva appears to be key
Belgian defender Timothy Castagne has revealed he chose Fulham over Juventus last summer after being convinced by Marco Silva.

The full-back has been speaking to Het Belang van Limburg, where he revealed the reasoning behind his decision last summer.

He joined Fulham in a €13m deal from relegated Leicester in the summer transfer window, having decided to leave the Foxes following their drop into the Championship.

He had been with Leicester for three years following a €20.9m move from Atalanta in September 2020, establishing himself as the first choice right-back at the club as Ricardo Pereira struggled through several long-term injuries.

He was a part of the side that won the FA Cup in 2020/21 but was unable to keep them up last season and elected to depart in the summer.

He had suitors around Europe, with several sides in the Premier League and outside of it keen on a deal for him, including Italian giants Juventus.

That never came to fruition though and he ended up at Fulham instead, where he's established himself as first-choice at right back this season and been a regular in the team.

On the face of it, choosing Fulham over Juventus is not a choice many players would make, but Castagne insists he was convinced by Silva's pitch to him.

"We often talked with Juventus, but it never became concrete," he said.

"They also didn't have enough money at that time. Plus, after speaking to the coach here and hearing how Fulham wanted to play, I liked it. The players are better in England.

"I had the most work with Luis Diaz from Liverpool and Mitoma from Brighton. But it is tactically a little less strict here, which sometimes means there is more space. Italy is much more tactics based."

Fabrizio Romano: Premier League club to offer Liverpool 'target' new deal to ward off suitors
Liverpool transfer news: Liverpool's centre-back target has interest from multiple clubs with his deal coming to an end.

Fulham have reportedly offered defender Tosin Adarabioyo a new deal to ward off the likes of Liverpool who have been linked with a summer move.

Adarabioyo, 26, has impressed at Fulham across the last few seasons as a towering and powerful defender who was impressive in the EFL Cup semi-final ties against Liverpool earlier this season. With Joel Matip's deal set to expire in the summer, another defender could be brought in and the six foot four centre-back could be a great option - especially given his deal expires this summer.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on X, writing; 'Understand Fulham have offered new long term deal to Tosin Adarabioyo with salary rise as part of the proposal. Tosin's current contract expires in June. But he's still considering his future as several clubs remain interested in signing him as free agent'. He is also wanted by AC Milan, according to the London Evening Standard.

Breaking through the Manchester City academy originally, but he made just eight senior appearances before departing. He developed strong experience in the Championship with both West Brom and Blackburn before arriving at Fulham. That experience has put him in good stead as he is now on the cusp of a move to a better club. Against Liverpool in the cup over two ties, he managed 13 clearances and won eight of his 11 ground duels. Additionally, he lost just one aerial duel from eight and he has proven to be a towering presence at the back.

Earlier this month, Fulham boss Marco Silva praised the English defender's form this season: "In December, when it was really busy, he helped the team to reach a really good level. He is a really important player for us inside the football club. He is growing. He is a really good player and of course we always expect better things from him, and if he is going to be the case to go for the national team (then) even better, because it's always the ambition of a football player."

Silva was key to Fulham switch, says Castagne
Timothy Castagne has revealed that head coach Marco Silva proved a crucial element in his decision to join Fulham instead of Juventus last summer.

The Belgian international moved to Craven Cottage from relegated Leicester City during the summer transfer window in a deal worth around £11m and has quickly become Fulham's first choice right back, usurping Dutch defender Kenny Tete with a series of consistent performances.

Castagne told Het Belang van Limburg:

"We often talked with Juventus, but it never became concrete. They also didn't have enough money at that time. Plus, after speaking to the coach here and hearing how Fulham wanted to play, I liked it. The players are better in England."

The right back also disclosed who have been some of his toughest opponents this season.

"I had the most work with Luis Diaz from Liverpool and Mitoma from Brighton. But it is tactically a little less strict here, which sometimes means there is more space. Italy is much more tactics based."

Who do we need to look out for at the Cottage today? Ben and Rob's preview...
We're off to the famous Cottage for a 5.30pm kick-off in the Premier League today - here's Club commentator Rob Daly and Inside Spurs, The Warm Up and Review Show host Ben Haines' take on Fulham...

Talking tactics with Rob
"Spurs are in a good place - two huge wins after the Wolves disappointment and the way they kept going at Aston Villa showed a ruthlessness. I imagine there's been a positive energy in training this week. On to Craven Cottage, where Spurs lost on penalties with a much-changed side earlier in the season in the Carabao Cup. Fulham have had some great wins recently - beating Manchester United 2-1 away and Brighton 3-0 - both games played without Joao Palhinha, who was suspended. He only came on as a sub against Wolves on his return last time out (a 2-1 defeat) but I anticipate he'll be back in midfield. The Portuguese international was outstanding at Spurs back in October despite the 2-0 defeat. That game was a solid one for Spurs. They forced Calvin Bassey into notable errors playing out from the back for both the Heung-Min Son and James Maddison goals. Spurs have the most high turnovers (288) and it led to chances and a goal against Aston Villa last weekend. You imagine Ange Postecoglou will have his team pressing from the get-go to work early chances (no team has more goals in the opening 15 minutes of matches than Spurs - 14).

Meanwhile, Fulham seem to have found their striker to replace Alexandr Mitrovic - and it's not January signing Armando Broja on loan from Chelsea. I commentated on Fulham's recent win at Old Trafford and was so impressed by Brazilian Rodrigo Muniz. His hold-up play was of the highest level, able to use his strength to keep possession under pressure from Rafael Varane and Harry Maguire. He's an outstanding outlet for them, especially if Spurs apply pressure to Fulham's back four. His five goals in six Premier League games have been ahead of huge boost for them with Raul Jimenez recently having been out injured too. For Spurs - what changes? Brennan Johnson started at Villa and scored - while Timo Werner came on to do the same. It feels like Spurs have real options in attack. Dejan Kulusevski was superb last weekend but it's not impossible Son is flanked by Johnson and Werner. Then at centre-back, Ange Postecoglou said Micky van de Ven was unlikely to be involved on Saturday, so Radu Dragusin, you'd imagine, will come in for a first start. He did well as a sub at Villa and Spurs looked defensively stable last Sunday. A third win in a row - and an eighth successive Premier League win at Fulham - would be huge going in to the international break."

Ben's players to watch
"Fulham were on a tough run but seemed to have turned things around with a win against Bournemouth last month (3-1 win on 10 February), backed that up with a good win at Old Trafford, then beat Brighton 3-0. They also played well in defeat against Villa in there, as well. The big one is Joao Palhinha with everything he provides in the midfield, Alex Iwobi scored the winner at United and seems to be in a good spot. There is another player who I think it would almost be rude not to bring into the equation, Adama Traore, every time we play against him, I'm absolutely petrified of that pace! What a ding-dong that could be, if we get Traore up against Destiny Udogie! On the Spurs side, Rob's right, the pressing at the moment has been sensational. It's something we've highlighted on Inside Spurs this week, and it's leading to goals. If you go back to our win against Fulham earlier in the season, both goals came from the high press, high turnovers and being absolutely ruthless in the final third. I would expect the team to do the same again. So, really important for us that when we get into those positions, our number 10s and strikers are ruthless, and with that in mind, my one to watch is James Maddison. There's another, as well... Radu Dragusin looks likely to play, his first start, a London derby, what a great game to do it in. I thought it was a great appearance off the bench at Villa, really impressed by him."

'Never an easy place to go to' – Harry Redknapp predicts Fulham vs Spurs score
Harry Redknapp has said that Tottenham Hotspur will find things quite difficult at Craven Cottage but backed his former side to narrowly edge out Fulham.

The morale around the Spurs camp will be high after their 4-0 thrashing of Aston Villa at Villa Park in what was arguably their biggest game of the season to date.

That result has meant that Ange Postecoglou's men now have their fate in their own hands as they sit two points behind Villa with a game in hand.

While most would now acknowledge that Tottenham are now favourites to secure fourth position, failure to win at Craven Cottage will undo most of the good work the Lilywhites did in the West Midlands a week ago.

Harry Redknapp predicts a Tottenham win
Redknapp believes that the West London club will make it quite difficult for Spurs but backed the away side to overcome the Cottagers and emerge with all three points.

The 77-year-old told BetVictor: "Fulham lost away at Wolves last week, but I don't think they deserved it. They had plenty of chances and on another day, they'd have scored two or three. This side are in decent form and this game won't be easy for Tottenham.

"What a win that was for Spurs at Aston Villa and they completely deserved it. This side has really found its groove again and now have that fourth spot in their hands. Big Ange has done a superb job this season.

"I don't think Spurs will go to the Cottage and cruise it, it's never an easy place to go to. That being said, with the momentum this side has, I can't see anything but a Spurs win. Precision: Fulham 1-2 Tottenham."

When asked which player is the one to watch out for, Redknapp added: "I could have picked Son Heung-min but I'm going for James Maddison. He opened the scoring last week, got called up for England the other day and I can see him ending the week in style here."

Prediction: Fulham 1-2 Spurs

Spurs Web Opinion
This game is arguably just as big as the Villa game, particularly with the international break coming up. A loss will serve as a major blow and really turn on the pressure heading into the business end of the season while a win will give the players some breathing space in the race for fourth.

Chelsea to pocket £4m this weekend if forgotten star doesn't play
Chelsea will be due a seven-figure payment from Fulham if Armando Broja fails to start against Tottenham this weekend, with the Blues set to bank a cool £4m

Chelsea could be in for a big payday if Armando Broja, a player they loaned out to Fulham in January, doesn't play this weekend. If Broja doesn't start against Tottenham on Saturday, Chelsea will get a cool £4million from their London rivals.

Broja, 22, moved from Stamford Bridge to Craven Cottage during the January transfer window. Despite being chased by several Premier League clubs, he's found it tough to get game time at both Chelsea and now Fulham.

Rodrigo Muniz's excellent form has meant that Broja hasn't started a single match for Fulham yet. But if he stays on the bench this weekend, it'll mean a nice little earner for Chelsea.

The Mirror revealed some of the details of Broja's move earlier this week. Fulham didn't have to pay a loan fee for Broja as long as he started in 60 per cent of their remaining matches.

Chelsea were happy with this deal, especially after they couldn't find a buyer for Broja, who was valued at £50m in January. The plan was for his time at Fulham to showcase his skills for a summer move, but so far, that hasn't happened.

If Armando Broja doesn't make the starting lineup for Fulham in their game against Tottenham, then they could face a hefty bill from Chelsea. This is due to an agreement they had with the London club which stated that if Broja didn't start a certain number of games, they'd have to pay up.

Despite this, it's uncertain whether he'll be picked to start as Rodrigo Muniz has been doing well recently, scoring five goals in his last six games.

Fulham's head coach, Marco Silva believes in Broja and sees him making an impact this season - even if he has to wait his turn.

Silva said: "He has to wait for his chance. We really believe he is the right guy to be here. He arrived on deadline day before the Burnley game and he had 20 minutes on the pitch but Rodrigo scored and then the game after Rodrigo scored twice."

"Unfortunately for him, last week he was unwell and missed the match but now he is available and I will decide what the best solution will be to start the game. He's working hard at a different club with a different style and he needs time to adapt and understand things. It takes time but we can see his quality."

Paul O Keefe shares update on James Maddison after his absence from training ahead of Fulham game
Reliable club insider Paul O'Keefe has shared an update on James Maddison ahead of the Fulham game.

The England international was not seen training with the group which caused concerns among fans regarding his availability.

One fan asked club O'Keefe if he will be fit for the game today, to which he said that Maddison is being managed by the club this week as a precaution which would explain why he was not in the latest training video.

He added that the hope and expectation is that he will play.

Tottenham will be without their star defender Micky van de Ven for this game who picked up an injury last week. Radu Dragusin is set to replace him in the defence.

Meanwhile, Richarlison is expected to be back in the squad but whether he starts or start from the bench remains to be seen.

Ange Postecoglou will aim to continue the form and build on their massive victory over Aston Villa last week.

A win today will see them take the 4th spot from Villa who play West Ham tomorrow.

Ange Postecoglou confirms Tottenham Hotspur's 2024 signing will start vs Fulham
Radu Dragusin set for Premier League debut as Tottenham face Fulham

Tottenham Hotspur's Romanian defender Radu Dragusin is in line to make his first start in Spurs colours in the Premier League as they travel to Fulham on Saturday, following an injury that has ruled out Micky van de Ven.

The North London-based side signed the 22-year-old in a £26.7m (€31m) deal from Italian side Genoa following a late attempt from Bayern Munich to hijack a move to Allianz Arena. His limited opportunities have been owing to the impeccable partnership that Christian Romero and Micky van de Ven have created at the club.
Tottenham Hotspur's Radu Dragusin compared to Giorgio Chiellini

Although with the Dutch star injured, Radu might have an opportunity to prove his credentials with his first start since moving to the Lilywhites.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed to the reporters in his pre-match conference that Radu is going to start for Spurs against Fulham:

"I'll take the suspense out of it. He'll start tomorrow. He's had to be patient for his opportunity with Micky and Cristian (Romero) being outstanding and one game a week. I thought he did well with his opportunity. I think he can bring us something different."

While Tottenham fans rejoice in an opportunity to watch Radu lining up in Tottenham colours for the first time from the tunnel, they also will shed a few sweats about Micky van de Ven's injury. It is believed that the former Wolfsburg defender's injury is not as serious as his previous hamstring injury which was initially feared.

Ange could boldly drop Spurs' "special" 8/10 star for Werner
Ange Postecoglou might be inclined to make a small tweak after thumping Aston Villa 4-0 last weekend.

If Tottenham Hotspur win at Fulham this evening, they will reclaim a place in the top four, albeit, should Aston Villa win at home to West Ham United a day later that fourth-placed grab will be fleeting for Ange Postecoglou's side.

But such frivolities do not matter at this stage, not even with next week commencing the final ten-match stretch of Spurs' campaign.

What matters is that Tottenham are firing into form ahead of the business end, rekindling the fluency and fire that was at the club's core of the impressive early-season efforts.

Tottenham also have a game in hand on Villa, who they defeated 4-0 last weekend, and while James Maddison, Brennan Johnson and captain Heung-min Son enjoyed the standout showings, Timo Werner's goalscoring cameo calls for his return to the starting line-up.

Timo Werner's Spurs career so far
Werner moved to Tottenham on loan from RB Leipzig in January, with a £15m buy option inserted in the deal, and he has impressed so far, scoring two goals and supplying two assists from seven Premier League matches, starting five of those.

Lightning-quick and an adept dribbler, the 28-year-old has opened up a new dimension to Postecoglou's attack and has left Tottenham with options despite the recent knee injury suffered by Richarlison, with Son slotting in at centre-forward.

Benched last time out, Werner entered the fray late on and fired a satisfying late strike to make it goals in consecutive matches.

Given that Son will be starring up top at Craven Cottage on Saturday, it might be worth recalling Werner to the starting line-up on the left flank.

That would mean that the mercurial Johnson would need to move, and while Dejan Kulusevski occupies the right side of the Spurs attack, Postecoglou might be inclined to boldly ditch the Sweden international and flank his team with fleet-footed dynamism.

Why Dejan Kulusevski could be dropped
Kulusevski is one of the most underrated attacking midfielders in English football and is so important for Tottenham, with Sky Sports' Jamie Weir among those to gush over his qualities.

The reporter said: "Dejan Kulusevski really is a special special player. Works so hard, covers every blade of grass. Hell of an engine on him, and just so much heart."

This season in the Premier League, the 23-year-old has posted six goals and three assists from 24 starts, completing 82% of his passes and averaging 2.1 key passes, 1.8 tackles, 4.0 ball recoveries and 1.6 dribbles per game, as per Sofascore, only benched once all term.

So why would it be worth benching him against Fulham? Well, Kulusevski endured an ineffectual opening at Villa Park one week ago, with football.london's Alasdair Gold heralding his second-half display after a 'poor' start, ultimately handing him an 8/10 score.

Werner must start on the left, allowing Johnson to feature from the right and continue his prolific run of form, with the shifting of the system not a bad move to keep things fresh either.

Kulusevski did win just three of his 11 contested duels against Aston Villa, and while he is unquestionably a talented player, Johnson has been in sublime form of late and the Welshman can't really do much more to warrant a start.

Spurs' 'engine' could also be welcomed after the break if need be, with his skills certainly fit to supercharge his team if an extra hand is needed in the latter phase of the fixture.

Ange Postecoglou gives deflating injury update on Tottenham star as Fulham return looks impossible
Ange Postecoglou provides a worrying injury update on Tottenham winger Manor Solomon

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has provided an update on the injury status of Manor Solomon, shedding light on the challenges the 24-year-old left-winger has faced since sustaining a Meniscus injury earlier this season.

Solomon, who arrived at Tottenham from Fulham, has encountered setbacks that have limited his playing time to just six appearances for the club.

This persistent challenge highlights the complexity of Solomon's injury and the need for patience in his rehabilitation process.

Here is what Postecoglou had to say about Solomon's situation via Football London:

"Yeah, no real progress. He's still in that position of not being really comfortable where he's at. So we'll give him the time he needs to be in the place where he can recover. The medical team is looking at some other strategies now."

In response to Solomon's ongoing struggles, Tottenham's medical team is exploring alternative strategies to facilitate his recovery. It is a reflection of the club's commitment to supporting Solomon and ensuring that all possible avenues for improvement are explored.

By seeking innovative solutions, the medical team aims to provide Solomon with the best possible chance of overcoming his injury setback and returning to full fitness.

The lack of substantial progress may be concerning for both Solomon and the club, as it prolongs his absence from the pitch and delays his contribution to the team. However, it is essential to prioritize Solomon's long-term well-being and ensure that he receives the necessary time and support to fully recover. Rushing his return could aggravate his injury or lead to further complications, jeopardising his future participation.

Tottenham Hotspur aiming to achieve club-record winning run against Fulham
Tottenham Hotspur will endeavour to achieve a club-record winning run when they clash with London rivals Fulham in Saturday's Premier League clash at Craven Cottage.

Barring a second-round EFL Cup exit to the Cottagers on penalties earlier this season, which was Ange Postecoglou's first loss in the Spurs hotseat, the Lilywhites have had Fulham's number in recent top-flight fixtures.

Tottenham avenged that knockout disappointment with a 2-0 triumph on home soil in late October, which marked their fourth successive top-flight triumph over Marco Silva's side.

During the last few months of Antonio Conte's reign, the Lilywhites also edged their capital counterparts 1-0 at Craven Cottage, where they have enjoyed tremendous success in recent years.

Each of Tottenham's last seven Premier League away matches with Fulham has seen the North London crop emerge triumphant, and not since Boxing Day 2009 have they failed to win a top-flight match at Craven Cottage.

Should Spurs come up trumps in Saturday evening's affair, it would mark the first time in the club's history that they have won eight consecutive away league matches against a single opponent.

The Lilywhites have more than one incentive to prevail at Craven Cottage, as victory would also see Postecoglou's men rise into the top four of the Premier League table over Aston Villa.

Thanks to their 4-0 crushing of the Lions last week, Postecoglou's side are now only two points behind Unai Emery's troops, who have played a game more and do not return to action until they play West Ham United on Sunday.

Postecoglou's men have not won back-to-back Premier League wins on the road since October, but they arrive on Fulham's turf having scored at least twice in each of their last six top-flight games on rival territory.

Meanwhile, Silva's side enter the weekend languishing in 12th in the table following last weekend's 2-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers, but they had won three of their previous four before that, and Postecoglou is taking nothing for granted against the Cottagers.

Asked what sort of contest he expected against their hosts in his pre-game press conference, the Australian responded: "A tough one, particularly there at Craven Cottage.

"And Marco whatever team he has has them well organised, and he's got them scoring some goals recently. Their front three are a threat for sure so there are some obvious strengths there.

"But no different to last week for us. We have to play to our capabilities, but if we do and have that same sort of focus on our football then we're going to be hard to stop."

Tottenham will be without Ryan Sessegnon, Fraser Forster, Manor Solomon and Micky van de Ven for the London derby, and the latter's absence means that Radu Dragusin will come in for his first Premier League start.

However, Richarlison - who has never scored a Premier League goal against Fulham - has a good chance of being involved after recovering from a knee injury.

Report: Major Contract Offer from Fulham to Star Player

Fulham's Bold Move to Keep Tosin Adarabioyo Amidst Elite European Interest
In the competitive cauldron of Premier League football, securing the loyalty of standout players is a perennial challenge. Fulham Football Club, aware of the stakes, has made a decisive move to retain the services of defender Tosin Adarabioyo. With his contract expiring this summer and notable interest from clubs across Europe, the London side are preparing a new contract offer that could place Adarabioyo among the top earners at the club, according to the Daily Mail.

Tosin Adarabioyo: A Defender in Demand
"The centre-back's current deal runs out this summer and he has been free to talk to foreign clubs since January. He has attracted a number of enquiries with the likes of AC Milan and Marseille keen while Liverpool have also checked on his progress," the Daily Mail reports. This widespread interest is a testament to Adarabioyo's growing reputation in European football circles.

Fulham's Strategy for Success
Fulham's intent is clear: to secure Adarabioyo's allegiance with a contract that reflects his importance to the team. This approach is not just about financial rewards; it's an acknowledgment of his contribution and potential. Manager Marco Silva's praise, "He is a really important player for us inside the football club," underscores the club's high regard for the defender.

Adarabioyo's Impact and Future Prospects
At 26, Adarabioyo has demonstrated resilience and skill, making him a crucial part of Fulham's defensive lineup. His performances have not only caught the eye of top clubs but have also put him on England manager Gareth Southgate's radar. Despite being sidelined by injury for part of the season, Adarabioyo's stats remain impressive, especially when compared to other leading English centre-backs.

A Crucial Decision Ahead
As Fulham and Tosin Adarabioyo weigh their futures, the coming weeks will reveal much about the direction of both the player's career and the club's ambitions. Fulham's proactive approach in offering a competitive contract highlights their commitment to building a strong, cohesive team capable of competing at the highest levels.

Statistical Analysis by EPL Index: Unveiling Tosin Adarabioyo's Impact
Crunching Numbers: Adarabioyo's Defensive Prowess
Fbref's latest scouting report on Tosin Adarabioyo gives us a wealth of data, a numeric testament to the Fulham defender's capabilities. A peek at his performance stats and one understands the rationale behind Fulham's eagerness to table a new deal. Amidst the tangle of figures, Adarabioyo's aerial prowess stands tall. Winning 93% of aerial duels places him in the elite ranks, outshining many of his peers.

His defensive work – quantified by clearances, blocks, and interceptions – solidifies his standing as a guardian in Fulham's rearguard. While his percentile for blocks may seem modest, this mirrors a defender who is more about positioning than last-ditch heroics. Clearances at 97% underscore a keen sense of danger, a defender who relishes the aerial battles and thrives in them.

Offensive Contributions Highlighted
Not just a defensive stalwart, Adarabioyo's contributions to Fulham's forward thrust are equally impressive. His shots total boasts a percentile of 94, indicating an ability to pose a threat during set-pieces. Moreover, the combination of non-penalty xG (expected goals) and assists reveals a player capable of impacting the game beyond his primary defensive duties.

Synthesis of Stats and Style
In an era where data is king, Fbref's visualisation offers a holistic view of Adarabioyo's style. Progressive passes and carries indicate a modern centre-back comfortable with the ball at his feet, capable of initiating attacks as well as thwarting them. It's no surprise that top-tier clubs are circling, their interest piqued by the blend of traditional defensive strength and modern ball-playing prowess.

The home team have a fully fit squad to choose from and they are likely to shape up in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
