Just reading about Sir Stanley Matthews last match against Fulham made me ponder how old our oldest players have been over the years.

Anyone know?

Probably Jimmy Sharp at 39.

He was retired and was the club trainer but we were a man short so he played. A former Scottish International he scored his only goal for us in that match.

Simon Morgan was 78 when he played his last game for us.
