I've seen recently a few posts on the forum worrying about our potential lack of talent next season and even some suggesting that we may drop all the way down to League 1 if we're not careful.

GK: Bettinelli
Defence:Odoi, Ream, Nordveit, Mawson, Le Marchand, Christie, Bryan, Steve Sessegnon.
Midfield: McDonald, Johansen, Anguissa, Kebano, Ayite, O'Riley, De la Torre, Cisse.
Forwards: AK, Fonte.

Any players not mentioned above I think are likely to leave our club in the summer, for various reasons.

For me, if we can keep this core squad, add two goal-scoring strikers and a creative midfielder to replace Cairney, Sess and Mitrovic, I'm struggling to see how we're in danger of getting relegated. IMO, top 10 should be possible with this set of players, alongside a couple of additions in key positions that need strengthening.

Johansen Ream Ayite Kebano are out of contract

Nordveit on loan to the end of this season.

I reckon we can keep them at the club if we want to and extend their contact. It wouldn't break the bank and playing for Fulham in the championship should be an attractive proposition and asides from Johansen, it's not like there have been plenty of clubs trying to sign the other three recently.

Nordveit on loan to the end of this season.

Since 2017 he's struggled for first team football wherever he has been, so if we can offer him a permanent contract and regular gametime alongside Mawson at the heart of our defence, I think that could be a relatively cheap answer to who we would like to see starting at CB next season. He's impressed me since joining.

I'd pay him before I'd pay Ream.   I also want a better CB brought in.     If it means skimping on midfield depth i'm ok with it.

A dominate CB loanie like Tuanzebe at Aston Villa.

I really don't think AK will be allowed back, so comparing this possible squad with the team that came third in the Championship it does not look good. We would be missing:-Fredericks, Targette, Cairney, R. Sess., Mitrovic and Kamara, that is six out of ten outfield players. We are not capable of buying six good replacements, we demonstrated that last summer.
Sorry, it looks like another relegation battle to me.

Seems to have been low profile in his performances for us, not seen any fingers pointed at his mistakes or any comments about how well he has played, so certainly a cut above some of our other players!

I am not sure what his contract status is so I would expect it would depend on fee and whether or not he fancies Championship football. Might be a top level side somewhere interested, Bundesliga for example.

Take out the loaner, the out of contract platers, the loaned out never to return players, SSess who is likely to leave when his brother does and you don't have a squad left.  Top 10 or relegation? Let me think now.....

That's because he has forgotten Mitrovoic, Babel, Markvoic and Vietto that I believe will all be playing for us next season. Fonte will only get a game if Mitro and Kamara both get red cards for fighting each other.

I see no reason at this stage, why we cannot win the Championship. We play like we did against Chelsea, we will tear that league apart.

Out of interest, why do you think Mitrovic would stay?

For me it could be any combination of the following, all of which may well materialise

1. Because he enjoys playing for Fulham, the coaching team, Craven Cottage and the fans, etc
2. Because he enjoys living in London
3. Because joining another club may turn out the same way joining Newcastle went for him
4. Because he will score for fun in the Championship
5. Because he thinks we'll come straight back up, and we agree to let him go next summer if we don't
6. Because we'll make him captain
7. Because we'll keep him on the same pay he's on now
8. Because he feels he contributed to our relegation and it's only fair he fights to get us back up
9. Because he's on a 4-year contract and we won't let him leave
10. Because only fairly average PL clubs, eg Watford, offer to take him off us

11. Because, if plays in the Championship and does ok, he will certainly still play for Serbia.
12. Because, if plays for a Top Six team, then if he has a dozen bad games and he'll be lucky to make the bench.
13. Because, if he is in a Top Six team and doesn't play for six months, he may be dropped from Serbia.
14. Because, unless London's West Ham want him, his options in the premier league are Top Six, Relegation Battle, Midlands club or Merseyside.
15. Because, he is not classfied as a homegrown player for a premier league making him less valulable than Sess/Cairney
16. Because, he may fancy his chance of beating Glen Murray's record 30 goals in Championship Season.
17. Because, if he wants to leaves now, TK will probably want a price so high that requires him to take a pay cut.
18. Because, if he stays until the two years of parchate payments end, then TK will have to sell him and he may get a pay rise.
19. Because, he will still be 27 years old when TK has to sell him to another club due to FFP Rules if in Championship.
20. Because, playing in a premier league team that is not in Europe may not actually be that interesting.
21. Because, getting promoted from the Championship was the most fun he has ever had so far and wants to do it again.
22. Because, signing Markvoic next season may help both of them internationally and allow Mitro to speak his native language more.
23. Because, if TK has a little brains (source of constant debate here), TK will make him an offer Mitro cannot refuse (like silverware).

Any squad for next season shouldn't include AK as he won't be coming back and playing.

I think it impossible to tell which players will be with us next season, but having a Manager the players want to play for may help some of em stay.8

May I also add:

11.Because not everyone appreciates Mitro or values him as highly as we do. Non-Fulham supporters say to me that he misses too many chances for a premier league striker. (I don't agree. I don't think he gets enough chances, but that's because we are 2nd from bottom and have been coming 2nd in a lot of games.) Consequently other clubs may baulk at paying us the £25 to £30 million (or more) we should demand if he decides to leave.

New Kid on the Block

I must have missed the official club announcement that Cairney, R. Sees and Mitro were leaving. Where did you read it?
