Slaphead in Qatar

Both have sadly looked out of their depth in the premier league especially sess. I'm not sure any premier league club will come in for them.

We could do with them in the championship next year.

Agree, don't think they'll be a queue for them.

Cairney's looked decent at times, although been played out of position too much & a bit too early for sess at this level. Probably not helped with him being in & out of a crap team either.

Statto

Not for a price that would justify us letting them go

Mince n Tatties

I've said before and had my nose bitten off for it,but just maybe Sess looked better under the way we played under Slava last season, and that is as good as he is going to get, seen it before with teenage players.
I hope not.

Robbie

A good post. I think we are mis-managing Sess. He is too young and needs more development time to be good for the PL.
He may need to go to a big club and sit on the bench for half a season to learn.
And Football is a cruel game, plenty of 17 year olds are not good enough at 19... they develop the wrong way.

TC is fine, IMV. He is like most Burnley, BHA, CP, Watford players .... top quality for CS, average for PL.

Riversider

In season 2018/2019 , not by any stretch of the imagination are either remotely good enough to be playing in The Premier League,
Sess should be taken out of the firing line for the rest of the season, for his own good and for the good of the club, continue to play him and his value will continue to fall,
Lacks bravery for me , is that something that can be coached though ?

I question whether anyone in the Premier League will come in and pay the money we would ask for Mitro. He is under contract & we may chose to pay his wages with parachute money. He of course may not like that idea but he would score more goals

The Old Count

I think it was Statto who said we should keep the lot and only let those who we can replace with Premier League quality players go (like Wolves did). They owe us a season in the Championship. I couldn't agree more with this.

If we could keep them and get a new defence we'd have a very strong team
I was there, standing in the Putney end

Well...whomever has scouted defensively in the last summer needs to do a much better job after this season is over.

Still need a CB that is tall AND fast. (no, not Mawson)
Still need a RB with size and pace...or Ryan Fredericks.

Like I said...Mitro, Sess and Cairney will be here next season.   Anguissa too.   But they need a better defense behind them.

If a bid comes in Mitro will be gone, people say he loves the club but he would love any club as long as he felt that love back from the fans

He will be at a top 6 club come next season, the guy is class and a classic centre forward. Chris smalling  said going up agaisnt Mitro was the toughest game he had played in.

He's on a 4-year contract so going nowhere unless we let him.

If a bid comes from a top 6 side IMO it would be totally unfair to keep him... But I don't see him going to a top 6 team

As much as I love him you cannot say he's in the same league as Aguero Salah, Hazard...

However he does still have significantly more right to be in a top 6 team than Chris Smalling. But for that reason I don't attach much value to Smalling's comment about him.

Wingnut

Sess is a young player with lots of potential. Not so sure about TC. He's in his footballing prime now, age wise and he's struggled all season.
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I must have missed that. What did Smalling say Statto?

He offers something completely different to those who you mentioned, he offers a top club a plan B.
I think he loved by many at the club but actually understated in terms of how good he can be.

Tottenham came in for him in Jan, are they not a top 6 club?

Rumour is that Mitrovoic got a bid from Tottenham of £27m over the winter, IMO if he wants to go FFC would need to get nearer £40m, which he'd need to take a pay cut in order to get. And, i'd only think he'd take a huge pay cut if he is going to start regularly, which at Tottenham might be hard with Kane and Son.

Mitro wants to play he wont do that at a top 6 club, he'd be a bench warmer

St Eve

Any premiership team would bite your hand off for Sess

filham

I think Cairney, Sess and Mitrovic will all want to play in the premier league next season and we will not be able to keep them against their will.
The really hard truth is that their transfer value will have dropped over this season.

Mitro maybe, but Tom and Sess aren't good enough for the premier.
