Pretty passing, but no end product!

Stats are so misleading, so much possession but very little end product. Really need to up the tempo, the rare occasion we do we have teams in trouble. This team has so much potential, it's frustrating!

SP

For me, Cardiff away is one of the toughest fixtures.

DevonFFC

It's too predictable and easy to defend against

It's a massive two weeks for SP the next 6 games will make him or break him. I hope it's the first, but teams will set up as Cardiff and we need something to click as the tools (team) are there.

Robbie

In perspective, Cardiff are a tough, tough game for us .. a point is OK.

Jamie88

I know it's a cliche, but we really do need a 'plan b'. Teams know exactly what to expect from us week in week out, and though the technical ability of our players may trounce that of other teams and get us a few results, it won't get us promoted. There has to be an element of surprise from our play I feel. I'm not interested in the possession stats it's means close to nothing in football imo.

Headline spot on & Cardiff were really really poor. No excuses we need a real kick up the backside to kick start this season

Bassey the warrior

For me our midfield 3 need to support the front three better. No one getting forward. If they can do that we'll get goals. I believe in the way we're playing though, just needs some finessing.

Exactly and in the end it puts pressure on us because we get bogged down rotating the ball around with no purpose.

Denver Fulham

There are too many occasions where we finally play a pass between the lines and, instead of turning and running at the defense, take the easy way out and knock it sideways or backwards, and concede the advantage we worked hard to finally get. Need a more aggressive mindset, imo.

Worcesterwhite

We are desperate for someone to dictate the play and control from central midfield ie Murphy esc

Fulham1959

I can't help wishing that we played kick-and-rush and took 'proper' goal-kicks.

Just because they changed the rule on goal-kicks doesn't mean we have to pass it inside the penalty area nearly every time.  It gives me the heebie-jeebies !

FulhamKC

Cardiff didn't press us at all and I don't think we knew how to handle that. We were way too slow and deliberate. I agree with the previous comment about finally playing the ball forward but then immediately playing it backwards and losing all momentum. That's very frustrating for me.

Whitestone

Pretty passing and an excellent finish by Mitro!

KingofCheese

For me all that is needed is a really creative midfield playmaker - the rest is there. The type of player who could hold the ball and launch quick attacks. I though Reed, Arter (until his sending off) and TC had good games but they were all similar and lack a threat. Problem is of course is getting some creative who can also protect the defence. Mitro is great at holding up and passing onto someone but should stay further up where he is best suited.

This 100%. 75% means fcuk all if 90% of that possession is in your own half. If Parker doesn't learn to increase intensity and upping tempo and pass / transition speeds then we won't go up.

Cairney is the best creative midfielder at this level  ... issue is with coaching and slow and predictable build up

We were having this same discussion back in our promotion year under SJ and then suddenly went on a 23 game unbeaten run and the rest is history.

Have patience.

Spirit of 2000

Nope. SJ did it with Kebano and Ayite. Not Knockaert and Cavaleiro and with Mitro for only half the season. He would destroy this division with this side
