I'm the poor chaps mate and was sat next to him as usual today. Just got back from the hospital where he's been taken to.
He's recovering, probable heart attack but awaiting tests. He's had a heart issue for a while that the docs were trying to understand: hopefully after today they'll get a move on. He's a fit 65 year old who runs a 10k weekly so is well set up to recover.
A massive thanks to everyone who jumped in to help. Fulham is the best place on earth to have a heart attack! Special thanks to the two lady nurses who were first to dive in to help.
The Fulham stewards and medics were very wonderful and totally professional. Needed the defibrillator too.
And thanks to all the fans who quietly moved elsewhere when asked, much appreciated,
I hope Robert will be back soon at the Cottage. He's there most games and we went to Hamburg together.
His family are very grateful for everyone's concern, as am I.
Cheers all!

Fantastic news he's on the mend and that he was able to be seen to so diligently by fans/nurses and medics alike. Sorry you both had to go through that, particularly him, must've been a horrendous experience, but I hope he makes a full recovery and they get to the bottom of it. Hopefully he'll be back at a game soon.

Very good news, we weren't far away but it was clear everyone was doing the right things to help him,,the medics and stewards. Very good news.

Excellent to hear he is in good hands.
Wish him all the very best from this Fulham family member.

Never noticed the incident but so pleased to hear of the recovery, may he soon be well enough to join us all again at the Cottage.

Really good news that he is recovering. I think a lot of us have been thinking about him all evening. Well done to everyone involved in helping him the medical people and the stewards. It's reassuring to know this level of care is planned for at each match. Get well soon sir and thank you for the update

Lewes White

Very pleased to hear a happy outcome, best wishes for a good recovery. Everybody involved did an amazing job was not to far away myself.

Great to hear that Robert is now in recovery. Hopefully he will be at the Cottage to see us promoted in a couple of months!

Well said SP. So glad to hear the chap is recovering. Due to heart conditions this may be the first in over 60 years that I don't get to a match so if I do it's good to hear that the medical team at FFC are first class. Get well son to the guy

ALG01

good to hear he is doing well but not the frst time I have seen this at the cottage. some years ago a man collapsed a couple of rows in front of us and was laid out on the seats two rows down. There was no time to get a screen erected like yesterday, I could see it all happeing right in front of us. The stewards and medics on the day worked brilliantly and whilst it seemed all hope was lost for the fellow we saw all the years ago, i subsequently learned, was saved him once outside the ground.

These things do bring back a  bit of perspective as to how thin the strand that keeps us alive is. BUT it should be a remider to live life to the full and enjoy every moment!

Glad the fellow is making a good recovery and well done to the stwewards and medics.

Good news that he is recovering, if it was a heart attack. A bit of encouragement. Medical procedures these days are excellent. Having been through it back in 97 and having a bypass. Impressed by the response.

That's good to hear. Thanks for sharing the news.

I've got to say it was a surreal experience trying to cheer the lads on whilst knowing that someone was fighting for their life a couple of blocks away.

I am sure I am reflecting the wishes of the rest of FOF in asking you to pass on all of our best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Jims Dentist

Well done the medics.
Best wishes for a full recovery  Robert.

Happened just in front of us, he seemed in a bad way at first and required CPR until the Paramedics arrived and took over. After quite some time working on him with oxygen and a drip he was eventually conscious. The Fulham support team and security, the paramedics and the supporter who jumped down from behind us to assist must take a great deal of credit for keeping the unfortunate supporter alive and I for one say Well Done everybody involved. Very professional.

The Swan

Excellent news . Hope he has a complete recovery.

Update - he's doing well. Was walking about yesterday and had a FaceTime natter with Tom Cairney! Fulham are being lovely.

What a literally heartwarming story. Every best wish to that fellow who had what sounds like a very close call.
