What would a win today mean?

We've won once in three years against them, they're a bogey team celebrating their 125th anniversary but on a poor run of form having recently dropped out of the top six. A win for us takes us within two points of Leeds with a game against them coming up. What I can see from their fans is a belief that we should win as they're out of form and without their first choice goalie who's apparently been key for them this season.

So it's all set up on fulhamish way for us to go there and lose.

So, baring in mind we've actually done well against swansea and Preston and have a defence that doesn't tend to leak goals too readily and are grinding out unspectacular wins or results.. whilst it's set up for us to lose, would a point or win signify something more significant in the identity of the club and its ability to turn in performances regardless.

Our recent record at Ashton Gate is decent. If we have ambitions of top two it's a must win game as they all are now. It seems like now is a good time to play them on current form. But as we know the Championship is difficult to predict.

Big game today. A win keeps us in touch with the top 2. If the gap grows today, I would give up any hope of the automatic spots, partly because of the gap, but also because of our upcoming fixtures. If the gap narrows, it could rattle the cages of the top 2. If the gap stays the same, then only some, but not great, hope of top 2 finish.

Today may just show what we are made of. Can we play well, and create enough? I hope I am wrong, but I don't see it.

A win today will be the first of a much longer series of wins required to force automatic promotion.  We are relying on Leeds and WBA to slip up which is the same situation we were in prior to the lost points we suffered when we had a serious opportunity to get into the top two when those foes stuttered.  We have squandered opportunities to be consistent in winning games throughout the season.  We thereby do not merit the label of a top two team.  The best we can hope for today is that this team shakes off its propensity for indifference to winning games convincingly and begins to demonstrate that it doesn't intend to rely on the lottery of the play offs as a means to promotion.  A blistering display of attacking football reminiscent of the best of the Jokanovic era would not go amiss, but, of course, it may go awry.  A convincing performance would be a win on merit. There was never a better time than now to truly 'Believe'.  I hope the team is really up for it.

Relax Genitalmen we will not lose today, I cannot guarantee a victory, however our chances of winning are greater than losing.
Man for man we are better than them, we just have to prove it on the day.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

My son's FFC calender features Ivan for March, hopefully an omen that Cav will be back to his destructive best this month.

BC are a high energy team that will press us from the off. We have proved vulnerable to that in the past, but if we can weather the first 20-30 minutes they will start to tire and we should win. Always assuming we don't dwell on the ball at the back! This will be a good test of how much we have improved.

Verdict: We have improved in defence, but goals still not flowing!
