If Mitrovic doesn't start today..

He really is finished at this club.

He changed the game in his 15 minute cameo against Brighton.
WBA have conceded 22 goals in their last 5 games (4.4 goals per game on average).

If Mitrovic isn't given his chance in this game, will he ever be again?
I was there, standing in the Putney end

I m strangely confident he will . Parker's comments  I think are his way of preparing us for his change of mind. We simply have to play him he really is our only proven striker ( though I still can't understand why he hasn't given Kebano a bit more time)

Not long to wait now

Mitro just has to play today. Cav. has proved beyond all reasonable doubt that he is not going to score half a dozen goals in the remaining games of this season and without those goals, as a minimum, from a striker we will be relegated.

If people actually read or listened to what Parker said it seems like the penalty miss against Scotland blew Mitros mind and Parker has had to rebuild him

Loads of people think he wasnt caring but how about if he was mentally shot??
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

I thought that was a great comment by Parker. He hasn't hidden the fact that Mitro's been off form but shows a level of understanding which increasingly impresses me. I too thought Mitro set the cat amongst the pigeons against Brighton and would start him in preference to Cav today

It would almost be a surprise if he didn't start today. As The Stranglers song goes, "Something Better Change".

Bassey the warrior

He will start. Let's just hope he lives up to the hype and breaks his duck.

I think parkers comments were surprising and oddly timed given the nature of criticism levelled at him after the Brighton game which has been mounting. Think he must be paying attention to fans as the coincidence between the two is far too nuanced to be random.

Also, giving mitro almost 15 games worth of space - yeah right. It's poor management even more so if he thought he could leave a player out when in a relegation place for that much time if he thinks the player can impact games for us, which he was proving in his small cameos prior to the Brighton game in linking attacking play and playing off the shoulder and being competitive in the air. Parker may be convinced he managed the situation and Mitro in the right way, but a player of mitros ability wouldve had opportunities which weren't taken and scored from them in those games so for me that is a mute point. You need quality on the pitch even when chips are down and as a manager you have to manage that situation as it happens, whilst it's happening.

We're now within touching distance of west Brom and sheff utd having had a cushion of sorts beforehand.. and where we were closer to Brighton and Burnley and with two games in hand we're now further adrift.

It's a failure of management for me when it comes to mitro and a result and contributing factor to our uninspiring and mediocre results.

Really hoping Mitro starts and think he will after reading scottys news release re Mitro.

Although if we accept that Mitro was struggling with injuries as well....

Hope Mitro starts

But he mustn't be isolated - Loftus Cheek must come inside and do some actual work on the pitch to support him - then Lookman can roam freely

If we don't play mitro today, where are the goals going to come from?

FFC In Oz

If Mitro doesn't start and we don't get the 3 points then it's squeaky bum time for Parker

General

Well, moment of truth now... mitro is starting, cavaleiro has been dropped.. Will we see a more dominant attacking performance now or at least improved.

The lineup starting today is my best 11.

Give or take trying to figure out where tete may be used...
