I had my fingers crossed last night watching Ireland play their friendly game and hoping that Damien did not pick up an injury. I was pleased to see him come off early in the second half.
We need him fully fit for Saturday against Spurs.

That's good news! Now if Brede and Simon come through without knocks we'll be set for Spuds. I know that International duty is important when qualifying, but given the quantity of matches our boys have been in lately you think the National Managers could have picked some fringe players for these pointless friendlies. I'm surprised that Roy didn't put up more of a stink. Well at least Hughes and Baird have a sensible manager who recognized that they needed to be rested. Fingers crossed for a safe return for all.

Only saw the first half and have to say Kelly did well at right back. He made a great block for a certain goal and despite playing Brazil linked well. Duff was playing on the left and looked tired but played well.
