Dr Know

Andrea Bocelli, who I think is class , chose the wrong song on the night , the appropriate song would have been  "Time to say goodbye " !

I saw Pavarotti live in Hyde Park, and Bocceli live in Gibraltar. There was NO comparison. Pavarotti was ten times better.

We were fortunate to win 2 tickets in the lottery and it was mostly very enjoyable except for the final 15 minutes. At the end of the night it just fizzled out and folk looked at each other expecting a final "farewell and travel safe" from the organizers but we all just crammed for the exit which we could not get through for 25 minutes. Unpleasant chaotic ending.

I love Diana Ross but was surprised that an American headlined as the final act.

Don't they normally wheel out McCartney and Ringo, Mick and Keef, Cliff Richard etc for some massive sing-song of an old Beatles hit that gets the crowd going and sends everyone home feeling optimistic and upbeat?

So many iconic British bands over her reign who could have appeared. The acts were great but not really representative of the whole of the Queen's 70 years on the throne. I guess they were trying to be current and I know there were nods to the past such as Elton John and Duran Duran.

Anyway, it looked fantastic. There had obviously been a lot of work done on the production and lighting and it was spectacular

I think Elton and Duran Duran may have been  Diana's favourites, so Harry and the other yin may have had something to do with it -well, Elton sang at her funeral - his revamped version of Candle in the Wind.
Possibly Charles is a fan of Diana Ross - didn't he have a thing for the 3 Degrees back in the day?

Didn't see the concert - might have watched at least some of it if I'd known it was on live. Sounded quite a spectacle.

I think he definitely had a 'thing' for Sheila Ferguson of The Three Degrees, however Diana Ross was in The Supremes a bit earlier.

I just thought, rather flippantly,  that maybe if he liked SF then maybe he'd  like DR - though she was in the Supremes not the Three Degrees.

But Diana Ross is huge star, so something of a coup to get her I would think - though a big gig for her to be invited to, too, I suppose.

I heard Diana was really good - haven't listened to it yet.

You mean a tennor better?
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Diana sounded awful. We were "told" that over 750 drones were used to create the images in the sky - only upstaged by the group Queen and Ed Sheeran.

Alec of good Stock

So many so called celebrities over the 4 days who I'd never heard of and then finally Basil Brush appeared on one of the buses looking very smart in his Union Jack jacket and my weekend was made!!

I have to be honest seeing Basil Brush and the flower pot men were the highlits for me in what i thought was a rather underwhelming event... the light show was good to be fair.

Dodgin

I wonder if any of these were available. At least I would have known who they are. Adam Ant, Kate Bush, Tony Christie, Cliff's Richard and Bennett, Peter Donegan, Olly Murs, Annie Lennox, Sonia.
