Mitro in doubt for Palace on BBC

We really need a proper forward to replace Mitro this Jan. No offense to Vinicius, but he's not shown to be up to it, and not sure Muniz is the answer either.
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

Palhinha Colada

To recap...

— Mitro suffered an injury on international duty
— Serbia still played him three days later
— He was subsequently a shell of himself for several Fulham matches and then sat out against City and United, matches where his presence could have meant valuable points
— He goes and plays three World Cup matches, and Marco this morning says he wasn't healthy for the last two of those
— Now he may not be healthy for Palace and maybe beyond, according to Marco

This is absolutely ridiculous.

Going to suggest you didn't watch the game last weekend then where Vinicuis was more than capable?

Jules

Really hope these two make it. They are vital to our season and the next 2 games are key for us to maintain our top half status and stay out of trouble.

I did not, and I judge no one on how they perform in friendlies, especially during a weird, six week long winter World Cup break. Seen him already a few times in the Prem, didn't seem to be a good fit. Hope he can prove me wrong.

Something doesn't sit right with Mitrovic at the moment, I fear this is the beginning of the end of his career at Fulham FC.

I have to say something doesn't seem right when he plays for his country but in between times isn't fit for the club that pay his wages

Yes, hard to remember when he was 100% fit for us.
He has had plenty of recovery time and I am thinking that if he is not fit for the Palace game then he may not be right for the rest of the season.
Vinicius showed some promise against Hammers but is no where near the force that Mitro is.
Looks as if the worst may have happened and the relegation fight starts on Boxing day.

Very troubling to learn that Robinson may not be ready for Palace.  Didn't know that he was carrying something that might prevent him from starting.  The news about Mitrovic is not surprising and I half expected he might not be ready to go when league play resumed.

Very disappointing news to say the least.  F'n WC!!

Not that I'm a cynic but a pal who is reasonably in touch with ManU comings and goings rang me to tell me that they were definitely in for Mitro in the Jan window. If true it might explain the ongoing injury when he looked pretty mobile in the WC games.  They can offer him silly money with Ronaldo off their books so hopefully they we can extract a decent price for him.

Not so sure we should be so quick to unload Mitrovic.  And the WC games I saw him play I didn't think he looked particularly mobile at all, even though he did score.  Just my opinion....

Have a bad feeling that it will come out that Mitro needs a surgery on his foot or something like that.  Then he'll be out for several months.  Hope not but really worried.
Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

Thats badnews for us bit not surprised he was played by Serbia, they stated they would play him before the WC started. I was hoping they went out at the group stage for selfish club reasons, some had a go at me on here as they wanted all our players to go as far as possible. I actually get that, but when your main man hasnt played for 2 weeks prior to the WC. It doesn't make sense unless he is fully fit clearly he wasnt. this is the issue with international football, they do not pay his salary we are the ones that lose out

One good thing - we have a transfer window to deal with this - we need to buy a good back up striker - better than the one we have otherwise we may get relegated again.

It's unfortunate but this was the world cup. Of course he would want to play for his country. It's got nothing to do with country over club. In a normal summer world cup it wouldn't have mattered but......

A lot of people here seem to be putting blame on serbia for this, but personally I feel this was a decision only mitro can make himself, and if I were serbia and my star man said he can and wants to play then id play him,

And if I was mitro, a man who lives and breaths his Serbian roots, I would wanna play every game.

I understand the grievances but i feel it's just one of them.

You can't knock anyone for pride and passion for team and country.

It would not surprise me if we receive big offers. Sadly how it works for smaller clubs.

One of the things I like about mitro though is he considers the moves himself very sensibly and doesn't seem to get drawn in by the agents looking for a big pay day, bearing in mind he's had quite a few oppertunities to move before but you can tell he feels some sort of affinity with our club.

I could imagine him being at man utd, but i don't see them giving him the love that he excells on, i could see him being a resonably good striker there, I could see chelsea coming in for him also but I really couldn't see him excelling at chelsea, they seem to have a problem when it comes to tall strong strikers, other than drogba they haven't a good record.

Team i feel he would be best for would be tottenham but with kane there I couldn't see them coming in for him, hopefully mitro thinks similar.

Also remember roma and mourinho were reportedly interested last summer

Southcoastffc

Maybe I'm clutching at a single straw but I understand that Marco hasn't said Mitro will definitely miss Palace, only that he is a doubt.
