What on earth do you expect FIFA to do? They don't even have direct jurisidiction over the Premier League.  064.gif

Plus, its pretty straightforwad what happened.  A country's star man, a man that is hugely proud of playing for his country played in a world cup for his country.  That is literally the story.

People need to give this sh't a rest.

Mitro and Robinson have travelled with the squad today so maybe some of the conspiracy theorists might chill out a little now

My issue is not with the World Cup, it's with the set of friendlies before the World Cup. He clearly got injured in the first friendly and they started him in the 2nd friendly as well making the injury far worse.

He came back injured and not been the same since. From what I gather he played through his injury for Fulham and the world cup, being only 80% orso

They shout themselves in the foot (and Fulham) by being stupid and play him in that 2nd friendly!

-As I already said many times, he shouldn't have played that second match but it was his wish, as was to play at the World Cup(our NT coach even said so).

-Those weren't friendly games, those were Nations League games, and because of those two wins we got into pot 2 and subsequently we got an easy draw for the Euro qualifiers.

-Fulham shot themselves in the foot too, not only Serbia, as he played something like 5 games for Fulham through injury after that match against Sweden.

It was unfortunate for all parties involved, but at the end of the day, it was Mitros decision, as he was the one that insited on playing through injury for both Serbia and Fulham. Serbia fans wish he could have played fully fit for us at the WC and Fulham fans wish he didn't miss any games for us in the PL. I really don't see what there is more to be discussed.

Maybe I'm clutching at a single straw but I understand that Marco hasn't said Mitro will definitely miss Palace, only that he is a doubt.
I love single straws!
The world is made up of electrons, protons, neurons, possibly muons and, definitely, morons.

Perhaps a bit of psychological gamesmanship?

Mitro did say he was still struggling with an ankle injury post-match. Rest up this week you beautiful menance!
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

Looks like he insists on playing for club AND country when injured.
