Cheer up chaps. Mitro will soon be back from French leave.

Quote from: LittleErn on August 19, 2023, 04:28:34 PMWe were poor last week but lucky. We're poor this week but unlucky. I've seen the penalty replay and I can see why it was given. There does look to have been contact by Ream. I can't see why it's a red though.

Having contact means sod all. 5 mins before that decision, Brentford defender body checks Andreas blocking his way towards the ball in the box and nothing was given. So somebody will have to explain the double standards.

Ream made contact with his foot. That shouldn't be worse than blocking off but it is much easier for a referee to give.

In a world here's that's a penalty... I'm gonna get sick of watching football altogether

I didn't say it was a penalty, only that I could see why it was given.

Unless we spend a significant amount of money we're in trouble. Absolutely zero attacking threat. Defence gives up far too many chances, both Everton and Brentford had xG of almost 3. It is extremely difficult to win games when you're giving up so many easy chances. Yes there are freak results like last week, but it isn't sustainable.

What we need now is a 2nd yellow for Palhinha.

This Fulham performance has now dipped to 'dire'.

...and I find it difficult to buy in to the 'mystique' of Jimenez.

Don't understand all the moaning about the team looking poor. We are missing our two best players. What's on the pitch is a collection of journeymen (sans Leno). Reasonably solid but no exceptional skills. Take away Diop's bonehead pass and a dodgy penalty call and we are even. Course, if frogs had wings they wouldn't bump their arses.
Its not that I could and others couldn't.

The xg% hasn't been healthy most of the match. We just look so vulnerable.

Quote from: FFC1987 on August 19, 2023, 04:41:26 PMI'm worried but I won't be blaming the ref today. Morrison just said 'even though it probably wasn't a pen or a sending off, Brentford would probably have won this game anyway and have been the much better team'. Wasn't able to go today so haven't watched but sounds like we're getting what we deserve.

I agree that we probably wouldn't have won because I can't see where a goal would have come from, but I don't agree that Brentford have been the better team. Without a gift from us and a gift from the Ref they wouldn't have scored either.

Which 2 best players are you referring to?

The news you're all wondering is are Adama Traore's arms oiled up and the answer is... NO.

Guess Wolves employed the fella who did that.

You cant kick the ball away, it's time wasting. Just a dumb decision by Joao.

Pluto

Jiminez is absolutely cooked - can't seem him ever getting anywhere near back to his best. Wilson also with another poor game - looks slow, gets bullied off the ball and just goes missing at this level.
