Hi guys!

I'm interested in hearing the thoughts of Fulham fans on the club's business this window and opinions on the transfer window as a whole. Who was overpriced? Who will be the best value for money? Which club had the best window?

Somerset Fulham

Hey mate!

What is your backround and what is the study in aid of?

filham

Transfer windows should be scrapped, lets go back to the simple restriction on transfers at the end of the season.

Happy enough backed up defence, midfield, despite needing back up to JP
Striker wise not the best losing the Serbian to the money grows on trees league
The only lasting blot is Palhinia ,hoping that works out.

If memory serves, and feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but prior to transfer windows didn't we have no restrictions until near the end of the season? The only safeguard was that, prior to Bosman, the owning club could refuse to release the player's registration, at the risk of having an unhappy player in the dressing room.

So your top goal scorer/ mid field enforcer/ flying winger could be poached in mid flow at any stage if the buyer was willing to meet your price. Or have I got that wrong?
Any fool can criticise, condemn and complain, and most fools do.

Pretty much it but, as I recall, the window was brought in to stop more affluent clubs being able to buy themselves out of the relegation zone later in the season.

What strikes me as wrong about the present system is that the window (for both purchases and sales) should close before the season starts. Thus, there can be no sales after that to countries who choose to close their window later, e.g. Saudi.

My assumption is that it's to do with when other leagues in uefa start their football season and some sort average between those? I may be wrong but that would make sense. If we all start at different times there's always gonna be someone who's window finishes before or after their season starts.

In an ideal world, there would be standardisation across UEFA - but that isn't the fashion!

I don't have a problem as players should be able to move between clubs
Our business will be completed around what other clubs have taken from us as well as the price we pay for replacements. The proof will be at the end of the season although nobody expects us to have a season as good as the last one

Penfold

The window drags on too long and should finish before the season starts.
